Echoes – who they are and how to use them? Explore lore and game tactics.

About Echoes

Echoes define the playstyle and the usefulness of cards in your Deck. Most of them can be collected in the Forbidden Forest, but you can find them in other locations from time to time, such as Event Rewards or Lucky Cart. For Legendary Echoes, you need to use Memory Vials. Memory Vials can be collected in the Red Spider Forest and Golden Forest (types of Forbidden Forest).

Echoes represent characters from the Wizarding World. Each character has unique powers, and to maximize those powers you should make a synergy between your Deck and the Echo you are using. You may have multiple Echoes of the same character, either with a different quality (color) or of the same color. More on that later.

Echoes give additional Damage and HP to your character. They also boost the levels of some of your cards, if you level them up enough. For example, an Echo can add 1 or 2 levels to some of your cards. The cards selected and the number of levels given (1 or 2) are completely random. When you level up your Echo, the Damage and HP bonus will increase, and you may unlock another Card boost. You can level up Echoes by using Blue Gems or sacrificing other Echoes you have (usually duplicates). When leveling up Echoes, you also need to spend a certain amount of Gold.

Common (White) Echoes have 7 levels and will boost up to 2 Cards when they are leveled to the max. Rare (Blue) Echoes have 10 levels and will boost up to 4 Cards. Epic (Purple) Echoes have 13 levels and will boost up to 6 Cards. Legendary (Orange) Echoes have 16 levels and will boost up to 8 Cards.

Bellatrix Lestrange

Every time you deal damage to the creatures, you gain corruption points (you gain more corruption points if you damage the opponent player). Once your corruption bar is full, Death Eater(s) will be summoned. Afterward, the corruption bar will decrease to 0 gradually. Death Eaters use Crucio as the first attack against his enemy. Each time Death Eater summon is triggered, an additional Death Eater will appear (1 on the first summon, 2 on the second, 3 on the third). A maximum of 3 Death Eaters can be summoned at once. The damage and HP of Death Eaters will increase if the Bellatrix Echo is leveled up or if the average level of your cards is higher.

Bellatrix Echo works well with Cards that can do damage frequently, such as Atmosphere Charm or Incendio. Remember that even your Basic Attacks can generate corruption points. Higher quality Echo will decrease the number of Corruption points needed to summon Death Eaters.

Bellatrix “Bella” Lestrange is a Pure-blood witch born in the House of Black, later married to Rodoplhus Lestrange. She’s a sister to Narcissa Malfoy and Andromeda Tonks and a cousin to Sirius Black. Bellatrix strongly believes that wizardkind should get rid of “Mudbloods”, and that Pure-blood wizards should rule over Muggles. She is probably the most fanatical follower of Lord Voldemort, and one of the last Death Eaters who fought in his name. Delphini is her illegitimate daughter with Voldemort.

After Voldemort’s first fall from power, she, her husband Rodolphus, brother-in-law Rabastan Lestrange, and Barty Crouch Jnr captured and tortured 2 Aurors: Frank and Alice Longbottom, to the point when Frank and Alice became mad and forgot they have a baby son – Neville Longbottom. These 4 Death Eaters were captured and sentenced to life imprisonment in Azkaban. Bellatrix escaped Azkaban in 1996. During the Second Wizarding War, she killed Sirius Black, Nymphadora Tonks, and Dobby. She was defeated and killed by Molly Weasley.

Dobby

You gain more movement cards. Every time you use a normal movement card, your next movement card will be replaced with an Apparition, which can teleport you to your destination.

After using the Apparition, you will leave a fragile afterimage in place. Any unit that kills the afterimage will suffer damage and be slowed down for a short while.

Use this Echo if mobility is your top priority.

Dobby was a house elf and a servant in Malfoy Manor. The Malfoys were cruel to him, punishing him for every minor inconvenience and threatening him so often that he got used to threats. When he learned that the Chamber of Secrets was reopened for the second time, he was very stubborn to stop Harry Potter’s return to Hogwarts, thinking he will save Harry from certain doom. This caused a lot of trouble for Harry.

Near the end of the second year, Lucius Malfoy, Dobby’s master found out that Albus Dumbledore has returned to the position of Headmaster. He was furious and he was leaving the castle together with Dobby. Harry Potter stuffed one of his socks into Tom Riddle’s Diary and handed it to Lucius. Lucius ripped the sock off the diary, and Dobby caught the sock. It is custom that if a master gives any clothes to the house-elf, the house-elf will be free, thus Dobby gained his freedom. Lucius tried to attack Harry in his rage, but Dobby blasted him down.

Later, Dubby worked in Hogwarts in the kitchen, for 1 Galleon per week and 1 day off a month. Initially, Dumbledore offered him 10 Galleons per week and free weekends, but Dubby refused. He was also happy to clean Griffindor’s tower because he could meet his friends Hermione, Ron, and Harry. Dobby also befriended another house-elf Winky. It seems that most House-elves consider freedom a failure and shame as Winky does, but Dobby always loved his freedom.

He bravely helped Hary to escape the Malfoy Manor, but Bellatrix managed to throw a knife at him, fatally wounding him. His friends made him a grave and on his grave marker they wrote: “HERE LIES DOBBY, A FREE ELF”.

Filius Flitwick (Not yet available in Global Soft Launch )

You create musical notes by spending mana.

For every 3 cards played, different effects can be obtained according to their order, based on their cost:

Increasing: (ex: 2, 4, 7) Creates a number of note projectiles corresponding to the cost of the last card played. Each note projectile causes your basic attack damage to a random enemy.

Decreasing: (ex: 6, 5, 3) The effect of the last card played takes effect again, but the attribute value of the card that is additionally effective is reduced by 30%.

Special melody: 5-6-2, creates a magic ring, which restores 1 point of mana per second and lasts 2 seconds.

When you activate an effect, you start back from the value of the last card.

Make sure that your deck can be easily used to trigger melodies. Pay attention to their MP costs.

Professor Filius Flitwick is a half-goblin wizard, sorted in Ravenclaw House in his student days. He was a very intelligent and capable student. After graduation, he returned to Hogwarts to be Charms Master and the Head of Ravenclaw House. Flitwick is also a very brave wizard, fighting in the First and Second Wizarding wars against Voldemort. Many Death Eaters fell before him. He also opposed the High Inquisitor Dolores Umbridge.

This strength of his character is probably due to his experiences with other Wizards: once he set foot in Hogwarts for the first time, he faced scrutiny because of his unusual appearance. He had to prove himself, and he believed that people are afraid of something they can’t understand or it’s different, so he forgives them.

After the Second Wizarding War, he continued to teach the next generations of students Charms. He will also be your professor in the game.

Rubeus Hagrid

The attack speed of the summoning card with the highest mana cost is increased.

When the summoned creature loses 50% of the maximum HP, it will recover some % of its health within 2 seconds. Healing can be triggered 3 times if a summoned creature has less than 50% HP.

Hagrid-style Deck is based on 1 or 2 very powerful Summoning Cards. You need to increase their survivability as much as possible.

Hagrid is born on 6th December 1928. His father is a human Mr. Hagrid and his mother is giantess Fridwulfa. In Hogwarts, he was sorted into Gryffindor’s house in 1940, but during his third year, he was framed by Tom Riddle for the crime of opening the Chamber of Secrets and using his spider pet Acromantula to attack and kill Muggle-born students. After this false accusation, nobody believed Hagrid except Dumbledore. His Wand was destroyed, and he was expelled, but Dumbledore allowed him to live on Hogwarts school grounds.

In 1991. he helped Harry Potter to prepare for his first year at Hogwarts school. In 1993. Hagrid became a professor of the Care of Magical Creatures after Kettleburn’s retirement. He already had a lot of experience with wild creatures from the Forbidden Forest because he was a trained gamekeeper. Hagrid fought in the First and Second Wizarding Wars as a member of the Order of the Phoenix.

Hermione Granger

After casting a number of spells, the mana cost of the most expensive spell card in your hand is halved. (The cost can be reduced by 4 at most for each activation).

You should make a reasonable mix of low-cost and high-cost Charm Cards.

Hermione Jean Granger was a very talented English Muggle-born witch. She learned about her magical nature when she was 11 years old. In Hogwarts, she was sorted into Griffindor House in 1991 and was a gifted student in most of the subjects in the school.

Hermione first met Harry Potter and Ron Weasly, her future best friends, aboard the Hogwarts Express train. At first, Harry and Ron thought of her as unfriendly (as Ron used to say “she’s mental”), but they became best friends later. She is the cleverest of the main protagonist trio, always remembering some small details that she saw or read about. Many problems wouldn’t have been solved without Hermione’s intelligence and ideas.

She formed the S.P.E.W association that advocated better treatment and rights of house elves. Also, Dumbledore’s Army would probably not have been created without her. She fought in many battles in the Second Wizarding War: such as the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, the Battle of the Seven Potters, and the Battle of Hogwarts. She is the one who destroyed one of the Horcruxes – Hufflepuff’s Cup.

After the Second Wizarding War, she returned to Hogwarts to finish her education. She later worked in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement where she eradicated many of the old laws that unfairly favored pure-blood Wizards. In 2019. Hermione became the Minister of Magic. She married Ron Weasley, and they have 2 children: Rose and Hugo.

Neville Longbottom

When there is no enemy around you, your normal attack becomes a heal, restoring nearby units’ health, for % of the auto-attack power.

This effect has an increased effect on non-player units.

This Echo can increase survivability, but more importantly, it can be quite useful in 2v2 Duelling Club, where one of the teammates can heal the other, and its creatures.

Neville Longbottom was a British pure-blood wizard, sorted into Gryffindor. His parents were Frank and Alice Longbottom, both Aurors and members of the Order of the Phoenix. They were tortured with Cruciatus Curse by Bellatrix Lestrange to the point of irrevocable damage. That’s why Neville hates Bellatrix so much.

He fought in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, and the Battle of Hogwarts. He destroyed the sixth Horcrux by beheading the snake Nagini, allowing Harry to finish Voldemort once and for all. After Hogwarts, he briefly served as an Auror, but later he returned to Hogwarts and became the Herbology professor and the Head of Gryffindor House.

Newt Scamander

After using a number of summoning cards, you will randomly get a Thunderbird, Erumpent, or Tebo Charge card that cost only 1 point of mana.

The attributes of these cards will increase as the average level of the cards in your deck and the quality of the echo increase, and they will disappear after use.

Newt Echo’s playstyle is to swarm your opponent with as many creatures as possible. Take some low-cost creatures so you can trigger this Echo as often as possible.

Newton Artemis Fido “Newt” Scamander was an English wizard and a famous Magizoologist. He wrote the book “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. When he attended Hogwarts, he was sorted into Hufflepuff House. He almost got expelled from the school because of the false accusation, but Dumbledore recognized his innocence.

Newt joined the Ministry of Magic, serving 2 years in the Office for House-Elf Relocation, before joining the Beast Division. In 1918 Augustus Worme commissioned him to write “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” which became a best-seller.

Severus Snape

Normal attacks do more damage. Every time you perform a basic attack, your next auto-attack becomes a Sectusempra, which can bounce up to 1 time, causing damage to a nearby enemy.

You should use this echo if you want to create a deck focused on basic attacks.

Professor Severus Snape was an English half-blood wizard, In Hogwarts, he served as Potions Master (1981-1996), Head of Slytherin House (1981-1997), Defence Against the Dark Arts professor (1996-1997), and Headmaster of the Hogwarts School (1997-1998). He was also a member of the order of the Phoenix and a defective Death Eater playing a crucial role in the fight against Voldemort, as a double agent.

Snape had a bad childhood. His parents were abusive, and he was mostly asocial during his student days. The group of Gryffindor students calling themselves “The Marauders” were bullying him, especially a student called James Potter, father of Harry Potter. This is the reason why he disliked Harry and the entire Gryffindor house, considering them arrogant. But Snape swore to Dumbledore he would protect Harry because he loved Harry’s mother Lily Evans. He was killed by Lord Voldemort near the end of the Second Wizarding War.

Weasley Brothers

The cooldown of your companion cards is reduced. After you use all your companions, you will randomly get a new partner card, up to 3 times.

George Weasley and Fred Weasley are English pure-blood wizards, sons of Arthur and Molly Weasley. They attended Hogwarts School between 1989 and 1996 and were sorted into Gryffindor. They were extremely popular students because of their humor, pranks, and crazy inventions for pranking. They were members of Harry’s Dumbledore Army and the Order of the Phoenix, fighting against Death Eaters.

George and Fred became successful entrepreneurs when they opened Wasleys’ Wizard Wheezes at 93 Diagon Alley. Unfortunately, Fred died in the Battle of Hogwarts, guarding the castle’s passageways, in 1998. George survived and married Angelina Johnson. He named his son Fred in honor of his twin brother.

Harry Potter

This echo will increase the damage and healing of low-cost spells (Charm Cards). Low-cost spells are the ones that cost 3 or fewer MP.

Sybill Trelawney’s prophecy foretold that a wizard will be born at the end of July, to a parent who defied Voldemort three times before. Two boys had such a situation: Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter. Sybill also said that if more children are born with all these requirements, Voldemort will accidentally choose his nemesis.

Voldemort chose Harry Potter because Harry resembles him, Harry was also half-blood, like him (Neville was a pure-blood wizard). Lily Potter protected her child Harry with the power of love: Voldemort would spare her life, because of Snape, but nevertheless, she sacrificed herself to protect her son. This power, which Voldemort could not understand protected Harry and backfired on Voldemort, temporarily destroying him. Harry thus became known as “The Boy Who Lived”.

With this attack Voldemort accidentally transferred part of his soul and powers to Harry, making Harry a Horcrux. Because of that, Harry can also speak the language of the snakes, Parseltongue, and can enter Voldemort’s mind and vice versa. After the murder of his mother, Harry lived with his aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon, but they mistreated him, locking him in a Cupboard most of the time, while their son Dudley bullied him often. This loveless and meaningless life ended when Harry went to Hogwarts.

In Hogwarts, Harry was sorted into Gryffindor’s house. The Sorting Hat was unsure where to put him, his first intention was Slytherin, but Harry convinced him to be sorted into Gryffindor. Harry stopped Voldemort from having the Philosopher’s stone, killed Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, and fought in many battles in the Second Wizarding War. Ultimately, he killed lord Voldemort.

He always missed his parents, and he longed to somehow get to know them. He has the look and courage of his father James and the kindness and eyes of his mother Lily. His best friends are Ron and Hermione. He was a famous Seeker in the Quidditch sport. After Hogwarts education, he became the Head of the Auror Office in 2007. He married Ginevra (Ginny) Weasley and has 3 children: James Sirius Potter II, Albus Severus Potter, and Lily Luna Potter.

Luna Lovegood (Not yet available in Global Solt Launch )

This echo adds a magical creature card that can be used indefinitely in the Deck. The Mana Cost of this card is fixed at 2. The initial magical creature card you receive is a magic pig. Each time you cast a spell with 3 mana costs and above, the magical creature will be upgraded to a random Summoning Card with 1 Mana Cost higher (this Card’s Mana Cost still remains at 2). If the Spell Card used is 5 Mana Cost and above, the magical creature will be upgraded to a random Summoning Card with 2 Mana Cost higher (this Card’s Mana Cost still remains at 2). When the random Summoning Card is upgraded to the highest level, there is a chance to summon Thestrals to the field. A creature summoned by the magical creature card can split once after 6 attacks.

Luna Scamander is the only child of Xenophilius and Pandora Scamander. She attended Hogwarts from 1992-1999 and she was sorted in Ravenclaw. She fought against Voldemort, and she was a member of Dumbledore’s Army. At one point, she was abducted by Death Eaters, as a hostage for ransom. Most people consider Luna very strange. She always speaks her mind, no matter what people around her might think. She is also very intelligent and perceptive. After graduating from Hogwarts, Luna became Magizoologist.

Sirius Black (Not yet available in Global Soft Launch )

Sirius Black Echo will create a connection between you and your co-player. If you don’t have a co-player, it will connect you to your Creature with the highest DPS. Connected Creature or co-player will gain increased Damage every 2 seconds. This effect stacks up to 3 times. After gaining 3 stacks, the co-op player or Creature will gain Attack Speed and Movement Speed every 2 seconds.

Sirius Black III is a pure-blood wizard, from an ancient house of Black. He attended Hogwarts from 1971-1978 and was sorted into Gryffindor. Sirius was more kind in heart and he didn’t believe in the pure blood elitism doctrine. Because of that, his relationships with his relatives declined. Despite that, he met his best friends in Hogwarts: James Potter and Remus Lupin. Later, he became the godfather of James’s son, Harry Potter. After the First Wizarding World, Pettigrew framed Sirius as he was responsible for the death of the Potter family and the murder of 12 Muggles. Because of this, Sirius was sent to Azkaban. Later he escaped Azkaban and he was hiding from Dementors by shapeshifting into a black dog. He sought out Harry to help him to fight Voldemort’s servants.

Ron Weasley (Not yet available in Global Soft Launch )

For a certain amount of MP you spend on Spells, you will get one Chess Piece. The amount of MP you need to spend on Spells depends on the rarity of your Ron Echo:

Chess Piece can be a Rook (represented as a shield icon above your head), a Bishop (represented as a wand icon), and a Knight (represented as a horse icon). When you summon a Creature, the Creature will gain certain buffs depending on which chess pieces you gathered. A creature can get one buff (if you collected one piece or multiple same pieces), or multiple buffs if you have multiple pieces. Buffs that pieces give are:

  • Rook: gives more HP and Shield to a Creature
  • Bishop: increases Damage attribute of a Creature
  • Knight: gives Creature a charge ability – Creature will move towards an opponent who plays very fast, hitting them with damage. If there is no opponent player in sight (or is hidden e.g. with Nebulus Spell), the charging Creature will charge at random Creature. If an opposing player is hidden, and their Companion is in the field, the charging Creature will target Companion.

Ronald Bilius “Ron” Weasly is a pure-blood wizard and 6th son of Arthur and Molly Weasley. He attended Hogwarts School in 1991 together with his best friends, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, and he was sorted into Gryffindor House. He has good sense of humor and he is a very loyal friend, but sometimes he acts immaturely.

He participated in many battles during the Second Wizarding War and he destroyed one of Voldemort’s Horcruxes. After graduation, he became an aruor, working for the Ministry of Magic. He married Hermione Granger.
