How to Defeat Lord of the Shore Boss Fight on Hard Difficulty

Hello everyone. Here is a guide on how to defeat Lord of the Shore boss fight on hard difficulty. Lord of the Shore is a mandatory boss fight you will encounter during “San Bakar’s Trial” quest. This fight can be quite challenging on hard difficulty. Thankfully, there are a few ways to make things easier.

Firstly, there are a few key talents that are highly recommended for this fight:

• Wiggenweld Potency I and II – On hard difficulty, each hit you take from Lord of the Shore will significantly reduce your health, so having some extra healing from Wiggenweld Potions is quite useful.
• Swift – Lord of the Shore is an incredibly fast opponent, so having this talent will allow you to dodge some of his dangerous attacks.
• Maxima Potion Potency – With this talent, your damage output will more than double after drinking a Maxima Potion, which is extremely valuable for any boss fight.

Before you go to fight this boss, make sure that you have at least four Ancient Magic bars. This will make the fight significantly easier. You should also make sure that all four of your Ancient Magic bars are full before you go fight Lord of the Shore.

It is also worth noting that many of your spells (including the Unforgivable Curses) have no effect on this Boss, which will make the fight more challenging.

You should lock-on the Boss once the fight starts. Lord of the Shore can quickly close the distance and leap around you, so this feature will help you tremendously during the fight.

You will notice several rocks and barrels scattered around. You can use them with Ancient Magic Throw to deal decent damage to the Boss. As soon as the boss charges toward you, be prepared to dodge his attack. If you do get hit, remember that you can drink Wiggenweld Potion while your character is on the ground. This way, you will be at full health once you get up, so you won’t risk dying from the follow-up attacks.

Once you hit the Boss with a couple of rocks, drink Maxima Potion and use one of your Ancient Magic bars. This will knock down Lord of the Shore and make him vulnerable to your attacks for a short period of time. Use this time to hit him with high-damaging spells such as Expelliarmus and Confringo.

If you execute this correctly, you will get the boss below half health, which will start phase two of the fight. During this phase, Lord of the Shore is much more aggressive, and your timing for dodging his attack will need to be perfect.

Luckily, there is a way to completely skip this phase if you have three Ancient Magic bars. As soon as the phase starts, drink one of your Maxima Potions and hit the Boss with Ancient Magic. While he’s on the ground, hit him with Expelliarmus and Confringo. As soon as he gets up, repeat this process two more times, and you will deplete all of his health.

This will trigger a cinematic during which the Boss will start charging toward your character. You’ll be given two options: Kneel or Attack. Be sure to select the first option. This will end the fight and permanently unlock Lord of the Shore as a riding mount.
