How to Open the Secret Locked Door Near the Headmaster’s Office

Hello everyone. Here is a guide on how to open the secret locked door near the Headmaster’s Office. While exploring Hogwarts, you will stumble upon a strange-looking door close to the Headmaster’s office.

Unfortunately, this door will be locked, and you will also need to have the most powerful version of Alohomora Charm in order to obtain the special key for opening the door.

Normally, obtaining that key is done by going through the Headmaster’s office. However, you cannot do that before obtaining a password for it, which is done very late in the main story.

Luckily, there is an alternative way that will allow you to access this door much earlier (as soon as you obtain the level 3 Alohomora spell). Simply mount your broom and fly all the way to the Headmaster’s office. You’ll notice a specific staircase, which should help you orient yourself.

When you land on the staircase, go up and you will find a door locked with a level 3 lock. Use Alohomora to open it.

This door will lead to a study where you will find the Key of Admittance. You can pick it up from the table near the bookshelf.

Now you can go back to the door near the Headmaster’s office and use the Key you obtained to open the special lock. When you do that, you’ll complete a part of the “Solve Hogwarts Secrets” Challenge.
