The Wand Collection – your trustful stick of power

Disclaimer: This guide was written for the Taiwanese version of the game. We are currently working on updating all our guides for the Global Release.

The most iconic items in the Harry Potter universe are probably the Wands. For me, the most fascinating fact is that Wands seems to have some sort of intelligence. We can say they are quasi-intelligent…things? Garrick Ollivander, who is a Wandmaker, speaks about them as they are living creatures, with wills of their own. I hope that one day I’ll study Wandlore, which is a subject and magic that deals with the history, abilities, and creation of Wands.

Most wizards bought their Wands in Diagon Alley, when they were 11 years old, before their first year in Hogwarts. Usually, they would try several different Wands, and one of the Wands would choose them. Wand needs to like you in order to choose you. Wizards and Witches can cast magic without a Wand, but magic is more proficient with it. For proper Spell casting, you need specific wand movement, incantation, concentration, and intention.

Wands consist of wood and inside the wood is the Wand’s core. Interesting fact: it is prohibited for elves and goblins to use Wands when they cast magic.

The most common way to obtain Wands

Common Wands

Common Wand’s purpose in the game is to be a starter Wand. You will receive a random Common Wand when you start the game, and you can’t find another Common one. There’s no need, because they are the weakest starter Wands, just for you to learn the game and get used to magic. I’m not 100% sure, but as far as I can tell in the Taiwanese version, on both my accounts, I had Wands that give me the same buff: +5% Exploration Bonus (Exploration is giving you HP and Damage when you are in Forbidden Forest, the main section of PvE and farming).

Epic Wands

Each month is a different Dueling (PvP) season. Each season will offer 1 Epic Wand if you:

  • Reach the Finalist tier in the ladder
  • Participate in 100 duels in that season

Those are relatively easy tasks. Be active in PvP each season and get a new Wand each month.

Legendary Wands

Each month there will be a new Legendary Wand available in the Lucky Wheel. The Lucky Well is located in the Mysterious Cart, in Diagon Alley. To get the Wand (together with a new Outif), you need to win every reward on the Lucky Wheel. To spin the Lucky Wheel, you need a Lucky Clockwork Key. Each Key costs 200 Yellow Gems. Once per month, you can buy a special package of 7 Keys for 680 Yellow Gems. Yellow Gems can be obtained in the game, but you will need a huge quantity of them to get a new Legendary Wand. If you wish to collect Legendary Wands, it’s best to accumulate and save all your Yellow Gems, just for the Lucky Wheel.

Bella Bulla

Beautifully decorated, this Victorian-style wand lends its owner a retro flair. You can imagine yourself walking the cobbled streets of another era.

Rose Thorn

This Wand set resembles a blooming flower. Fine red velvet represents the rose’s passion, while frosty silver trim mimics the frosty color of roses in winter. Here, cold meets passion.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Mana Points Regen Speed +8% during Exploration, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Base Model: Forest Flurry

A jet-black and unassuming Wand dotted with faint marks, but this does not interfere with its usage. Rather, its simple design tends to make opponents underestimate its power, giving the user an advantage right from the start.

Collection Level +60 when acquired, Exploration Bonus +15%

Obtained from time-limited events.

Black Golden Brand

The end of this Wand resembles a wax seal. The combination of gold embossing and natural wood grain reveals the owner’s calm temperament, while the medal part adds a touch of shine without being overbearing. Its appearance evokes the exquisite marble decorations of the halls of the Magical Congress of the United States of America.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Exploration Bonus +15%, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Pine Wand

Pine Wands always chose an independent, individual master. Such a Wizard or Witch might be perceived as a loner, but they are usually intriguing and a little mysterious. Pine Wands are an excellent companion for those who like to get creative with their magic and those who excel at non-verbal magic.

True Connoisseur: Cedar Wand

Holders of Cedar Wands are largely people with strength of character and unusual loyalty. The Cedar Wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. There is a saying in the Ollivander family that goes, You will never fool the Cedar carrier.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Exploration Bonus +15%, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Aspen Wand

Their fine-grained wood and astounding Charmwork have made Aspen Wands popular among Wizardkind. However, not everyone can be the owner of one. Ollivander has found that Aspen Wands can only be used to their full potential in the hands of one with a love for exploration, who is also strong-minded and has a purpose.

Collection Power +60 when acquired and Exploration Bonus +15%.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Soul Messenger: Silver Lime

This wood type is mesmerizing on the outside and often belongs to a Seer or a Legilimens. Such characteristics often allow the owner of a Silver Lime Wand to be of high status. The maker has also embedded a crystal in the body of the Wand. When you gaze through the crystal, it is as if you can see into the souls of other Wizards. Perhaps the Wand is examining your soul through it too.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Exploration Bonus +15%, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Dogwood Wand

Dogwood prefers an interesting master over a powerful one. This wood type is eccentric and mischievous, insistent on seeking out those who will bring fun and excitement. Once it is paired with a clever Witch or Wizard, they team up to cast dazzling Spells. There is only one small drawback to a Dogwood Wand — it refuses to cast non-verbal Spells.

Collection Power +60 when acquired. When used, Card Proficiency in the current Deck +30%.

Wand of Time: Acacia

Acacia favors Wizards and Witches who are meticulous in thought and deed. Its handle embodies a sense of time. Magic can make it so a flower never fades, but the passage of time cannot be stopped.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Card Proficiency Gained +30%, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Chestnut

The main trait of Chestnut Wand is a strong desire to learn. It is often attracted to those skilled in Creature Care and Herbology, as well as natural fliers. As a result, its qualities change depending on the Wand’s Core and its owner.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, and Mana Point Regen Speed +8% during Exploration.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Dragon Knight Blackthorn Wood

Inspired by the Wizarding version of the tales of King Arthur, the amazing combination of Blackthorn and a Troll Whisker Core possesses the power to create miracles. But be careful when casting Spells, for it is flammable and may explode!

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Mana Point Regen Speed +8% during Exploration , and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Extraordinary Victory: Ash

You can get this Legendary Wand if you bought 88.880 Pink Gems. These Gems can be bought only with real money. Once you bought this many Gems in total during the game (regardless of whether you spend them or not), you can go to the Gringotts Wizarding Bank and speak to one of the Goblins there.

88.880 Pink Gems are around 200$ or less, so if you play this game for a while it is not a huge price compared to some other mobile game offers.

A Wand made of Ash stays true to its master. As evergreen as its leaves, its love and loyalty will never waver. The bird hovers above but never leaves. The Wand will only ever show its true power when its master wields it.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Mana Point Regen Speed +8% during Exploration, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Dreamwalker: Poplar

Willow Wands tend to look beautiful and are suitable for advanced non-verbal Magic, so Wand Shops often have customers wanting to try them out. The Ollivander family has a saying that states: He who has furthest to travel will go fastest with willow.’ Those who are self-righteous are not acknowledged by it. It is also an extremely rare Wand wood with Healing power. The ideal owner for a Willow Wand often has some (usually unwarranted) insecurity. However, they may try to hide it. Harry Potter’s mother, Lily Evans, and his best friend Ron Weasley both owned Willow Wands.

Collection Power +10 when acquired and Exploration Bonus +5%.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Black Walnut

Black Walnut may look beautiful but is extremely difficult to control. It also has a peculiar quirk in that it is unable to deal with contradictory intentions within its owner and loses a great deal of power if its owner is not being true to itself. Should it be wielded by a sincere, self-aware owner, it becomes the most loyal and impressive Wand and excels at all kinds of Magic.

Collection Power +60 when acquired and Exploration Bonus +15%.

Thunder Feather Circle-Pine

Thunderbirds are extremely sensitive to supernatural dangers, so Wands
made from their feathers can often get the better of others. If you see one in
a Duel, you may not even have time to draw your own Wand before its fierce
attacks come down on you like a storm.

Collection Level +100 when acquired, Exploration Bonus +15%, and Dueling
Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Ebony Wand

Ebony Wands are well suited to casting attacking Spells and
Transfigurations. They like to be held in the hands of those who dare to be
themselves. The owner of an Ebony Wand is usually someone who does not
like to follow the rules, has a strong personality, or likes to be an outsider.
These people exist both in the Order of the Phoenix and among the Death
Eaters.

Collection Power +60 when acquired, and Exploration Bonus +15%.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Applewood Wand

The Wands of Applewood are uncommon. They are powerful and best suited to
an owner of high aims and ideals, as this wood mixes poorly with Dark
Magic. It is said that the wielder will be deeply loved and live a long life. Garrick Ollivander has also discovered that customers suited to Applewood Wands are very charismatic.

Collection Power +60 when acquired, and Mana Point Regen Speed +8%
during Exploration Bonus.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Pink Umbrella: Oak

A pink floral umbrella that contains pieces of Hagrid’s Wand. Although
broken, Hagrid refused to part with his best friend, and the Wand seemed to respond in kind, becoming the perfect companion for Spell-casting.

Collection Power +100 when acquired. When used, Card Proficiency in the
current Deck is +30%. Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.

Elm Wand

The notion that only a Pure-blood can use an Elm Wand is pure nonsense.
Some Muggle-born Witches and Wizards are extremely compatible with the
Elm Wand. It prefers an owner with grace, magical talent, and a naturally noble temperament. Lucius Malfoy, a strong advocate of Pure-blood values, has an Elm Wand.

Collection Level +10 when acquired, and Exploration Bonus +5%.

Extraordinary: Elderberry

Elder is the rarest of all Wand Woods. It is a rare person indeed who finds their match in a Wand of Elders. However, when such a pairing occurs, the witch or Wizard in question is most certainly marked out for a special destiny.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Exploration Bonus +15%, and Dueling
Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Pear Wand

Golden-toned and flexible, even after years of use, the Pear Wand can still be
as good as new. Pear Wands usually have outstanding magical capabilities
and their wielders are often popular and highly respected.

Collection Power +60 when acquired, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Buy at Ollivander’s Wand Shop.

British Oak Wand

In good situations or bad, the English Oak Wand is its wielder’s most loyal
companion. What is not as widely known, however, is that the wielders of
English Oak Wands often have keen intuition and a natural affinity with the
flora and fauna of the natural world. Rubeus Hagrid is a shining example of
this!

Collection Power +60 when acquired and Exploration Bonus +15%.

Maple Wand

Maple Wands are for born explorers or travelers as they don’t want to stay
home all the time. Ever-changing new challenges and venues make Maple
Wands shine brighter, and their wielders’ abilities and status grow. If kept
away from the action, their Magic becomes increasingly heavy and dull. This is
why Maple Wands have become a symbol of excellence in achievements.

Collection Power +60 when acquired, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Laurel Wand

The pursuit of glory and the upholding of justice are qualities recognized by
Laurel Wands. Laurel Wands are sometimes called fickle, but this is unfair;
the Laurel Wand is unable to tolerate laziness in a possessor, and it’s in such
conditions that it is most easily and willingly won away.

Collection Power +100 when acquired. When used, Card Proficiency in the
current Deck is +30%.

Buy at Ollivander’s Wand Shop.

Master Duelist: Red Oak

The wonderful combination of a Phoenix Feather Core and Red Oak
embodies Ollivander’s ingenuity and the enthusiasm he showed in his
younger days. This Wand is relatively difficult to control but is unsurpassed in
terms of power in Duels.

Collection Power +100 when acquired, Mana Point Regen Speed +8% during
Exploration, and Dueling Club Rescue Attempts +1.

Obtained from time-limited events.
