Where to Find Mooncalf

Hello everyone. Here is a guide on where to find Mooncalves. These adorable magical creatures can be rescued and added to your vivarium. By feeding and brushing them, you will be able to obtain Mooncalf Fur, which is used to improve your gear.

Unlike most other magical creatures, you can only find Mooncalves at night. Once you approach their den, use the Disillusionment Spell to sneak up on them, and then cast Levioso or Arrestno momentum on a Mooncalf you want to rescue.

Follow this up with your Nab-Sack and you’ll be prompted to press the button 3 times to rescue the creature.

Here are the locations where you can find Mooncalves in the game.

Mooncalf Den south of Pitt-Upon-Ford. To find this den, travel to Pitt-Upon-Ford and go south.

Mooncalf Den south of North Ford Bog Entrance. In order to get to this den, you should travel to North Ford Bog Entrance Floo Flames and go south.

Mooncalf Den northwest of Quidditch Stadium. This is the same Mooncalf Den you visited during the quest “The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom”. You can access it by traveling directly to its Floo Flames.

Mooncalf Den south of Feldcroft. To find this den, travel to Feldcroft and then go south.

Mooncalf Den northeast of Poidsear Castle. To get to this den, you should travel to Poidsear Castle and go northeast of it.
