(Disclaimer: This Walkthrough contains the gameplay from the perspective of a graduate student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress with the main story.)
Proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready to learn the processional. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Pieter will say that he hopes you’re ready to learn the Durmstrang Processional. You’ll reply that you are indeed ready and very curious to learn.

Pieter will add that he found the bow staffs in the Hogwarts halls, but he’ll mention that they are only a small part of the lesson and will return them once you’re done. He will then explain that the Durmstrang Processional is a display of acrobatic technique, battle prowess, and magical abilities.

Soon after, Pieter will begin to teach you about the Durmstrang Processional. To study the processional, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Pieter and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

Shortly after, you’ll demonstrate what you’ve learned from Pieter.

Following that, Pieter will commend you and add that, watching you with a bow staff, he thought you must be quite a duelist. He’ll then ask if he’s right. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

In any case, he will challenge you to a duel, which you will, of course, accept.

Go to the Duelling Room to continue the story. However, when you arrive, you will spot Merula hiding.

You’ll address Merula, telling her that when she heard Pieter was coming, she realized she would have to live up to the claims in her letters. You’ll add that knowing how tough Durmstrang students can be, she went into hiding and sent him your way as a distraction. Naturally, she will deny this and insist that she was actually looking for you.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Shortly after, Pieter will apologize and say that you’ll need to postpone your duel because he wants to duel with Merula instead. He’ll add that you have been very kind to him and that he doesn’t want anyone to insult you. He hopes to teach Merula some manners.

To referee the duel, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Pieter and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

The duel will end with Pieter emerging victorious over Merula.

Merula will say that she was just kidding and that she doesn’t have time to waste proving herself to every random wizard who shows up at her doorstep.

Following that, you’ll thank Pieter for sticking up for you, and he’ll respond by saying that at Durmstrang, they learn to always stand up for their comrades. He’ll express how glad he is to have met you and witnessed how Merula Snyde duels.
Pieter will admit that he now believes her letters were misleading and that he thinks you, rather than Merula, are the most powerful student at Hogwarts. There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Pieter will then thank you for showing him the fabulous Duelling Room at Hogwarts and express his eagerness to see more. You’ll reassure him that this is just the beginning, and he’ll mention that the only thing he likes more than dueling is flying. This will give you the idea to take him to the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch for a thrilling experience.

Proceed to the Quidditch Pitch when you are ready. You’ll comment that you arrived just in time to catch a few of the Quidditch players finishing up their drills. These lines will differ based on whether or not you played Quidditch.

He’ll say he’s glad you arrived in time to see what your Quidditch players have to offer and will suggest you watch them for a bit. Shortly after, he’ll add that it’s always nice to get a chance to size up another school’s Quidditch players.
(You’ll receive an additional dialogue if you’re simultaneously playing Quidditch, where Pieter will ask you what you think of your team. However, we haven’t received that dialogue since we have currently finished with the Quidditch storyline.)
However, he’ll mention that they do things a bit differently at Durmstrang and will suggest showing you their approach, which you’ll gladly accept.

To fly with Pieter, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the left goalpost, Pieter, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll praise Pieter’s skills, and he’ll respond by saying that you were brilliant as well. This line will differ based on whether or not you played Quidditch.

He will then admit that he’s quite tired after all the dueling and flying, so you will suggest starting a tour inside and showing him your classrooms. However, he will change his mind and say he doesn’t want to do that. Instead, he will propose skipping the tour and returning to the courtyard.
There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

He will then leave, and you will find it odd that he doesn’t want to visit the classrooms, so you’ll decide to meet with him and find out why.

Go to the Clocktower Courtyard to continue the story. When you arrive, Pieter will ask you where everyone is, given that the courtyard is empty.

He will say that he thought a few of them might have skived off class, adding that he skives off all the time back at Durmstrang. However, you’ll tell him that most Hogwarts students are excited to go to class.
After that, you’ll ask him why he skives off all the time, but he’ll respond that it doesn’t matter and ask you to change the subject. There are three options to choose from. If you like Pieter, it is recommended to pick the second option.

In any case, he will eventually decide to tell you what the problem is.

To discover Pieter’s problem, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You will comment that classes at Durmstrang sound quite severe, and he will add that Durmstrang takes a strict approach to molding its students, and that the classes are sterile, serious, and often dull.

You’ll tell him that it’s quite different from life at Hogwarts and that your professors do their best to make learning fun. He will say that he wishes he were a better student, but it’s hard for him to focus when school feels so serious and boring. He will also add that he understands why his stories of Durmstrang seem so strange to you and will want to show you what a class at Durmstrang looks like.

This will mark the end of Part 2 of A Son of Durmstrang Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog.
After a day filled with dueling, flying, and learning the Durmstrang Processional, it’s clear that Pieter has been impressed not only by the grandeur of Hogwarts but also by your skills. His challenge to Merula proved that he’s not afraid to stand up for his friends, and his admiration for Hogwarts’ Quidditch teams shows his respect for the school’s athleticism. Although the tour inside the castle was postponed, Pieter hinted at something even more intriguing—his desire to show you what a typical class at Durmstrang is like. He’s eager for you to see why he tends to avoid lessons there, which promises to reveal more about his life at the strict and challenging school. As your bond with Pieter grows stronger, it sets the stage for an exciting next part of your Hogwarts adventure.
