Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Fourten of Beyond Hogwarts: Volume Two of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In Chapter 13 of Beyond Hogwarts: Volume 2, the investigation took an intriguing turn as rumors about a mysterious minecart spread across Egypt. Your journey led you to Bill’s camp, where you discussed the challenges posed by these rumors. Concerned about the situation, you decided to head to the Egypt Marketplace, where you encountered your old friend, Diego Caplan, now an assistant to a treasure hunter.
After catching up with Diego, you returned to the Ministry to consult with Mad-Eye Moody, Talbott, and Kingsley about the increasing frequency of raids. Despite the challenges, you provided Flump with an update on the case. However, due to concerns about your safety, Flump temporarily removed you from active fieldwork and reassigned Vega to continue the investigation in Egypt.

Proceed to the Workspace when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Vega will express her appreciation for taking the time to meet with her before she departs for Egypt. She will want to know everything you’ve discovered that could help her with the case.


To bring Vega up to speed, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You will explain that you have three friends involved in your case and no leads on what the curse might be, adding that you haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary at the dunes. She will reassure you that these things take time and that there’s no need to worry. However, you’ll tell her that it’s actually Flump who is worried, as he removed you from the case.
She will add that Flump is only looking out for your safety and that this is not a punishment. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Vega will reassure you that everything will be fine and add that she’ll do her best to get you back on the case in the field as soon as possible. You’ll ask her how she plans to get to the dunes, and she’ll explain that you need to create a Portkey for her to reach the location since she can’t pass through the door because it’s your case.
Trace the wand movement to cast Portus.

Shortly after, you’ll decide to meet with Liz to learn more about the sphinxes that are preventing you from reaching the minecart.

You’ll need to wait four hours before you can continue. Since this chapter is not time-limited, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

Head to the Former Student Centre once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You’ll thank Liz for agreeing to meet with you on such short notice, while she admits she’d do anything to avoid Grandmum Lee and Merula.


You’ll ask her when she’s been hanging out with Ismelda, and she’ll reply that Ismelda can be quite kind when she wants to, but mostly she’s a menace to others—just not to her. You’ll say you’re glad to hear that. Following that, she’ll suggest talking about the Sphinxes.


To research Spinxes, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Liz and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll learn that Sphinxes usually speak in rhyme and love riddles, and they can get violent when a treasure they’re guarding is threatened. You’ll ask her what she thinks about the Sphinxes in the wild, and she’ll say that, in her experience, they usually keep to themselves.


You’ll thank Liz for her help, and she’ll tell you that Merula invited her to lunch but didn’t say why. Then, she’ll ask if you think Merula wants to hang out with her or if there’s something more to it.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

She’ll ask if you could go with her to the lunch since she doesn’t want to go alone. You’ll agree, as it’s just lunch.


Proceed to the Hog’s Head Inn when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. Merula will be surprised that you showed up, considering you weren’t invited, but she’ll add that it’s fine since this probably involves you as well.


To learn what Merula’s up to, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Aberforth, Liz, and Jae. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

You will learn that Merula actually wants to introduce you to someone, and after a few moments, none other than Ruby will appear.


Merula will add that since you’ve known Ruby for a long time, you can introduce her. There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Then, you’ll have to say where Ruby is from. The correct answer is “Oklahoma”.

Following that, you will have to say which creatures her family raises. The correct answer is “Crups”.

Afterward, the others will say that they’re glad to have met her, and you’ll take the opportunity to leave and meet with Jacob.


Go to the Hogsmeade to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You’ll notice that Jacob is very nervous, and he’ll add that he needs your help to make some important decisions.


To discover Jacob’s plan, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Jacob and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

You’ll find out that Jacob wants to throw a party for Olivia before their trip because he wants to thank her for always being there for him. Of course, you’ll agree to help him with the preparations.

Following that, he will ask you what kind of decorations you would prefer or choose for the party. Choose the option you like the most.

Then, he will ask you what kind of drinks you would choose for the party. Choose the option you like the most.

Jacob will ask you which sweets you think would be good to serve at the party. Choose the option you like the most.

Finally, Jacob will ask you where he should hold the party. Choose the option you like the most.

Jacob would want this to remain a secret and will warn you not to accidentally tell Olivia about the party. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Jacob will thank you and add that he couldn’t have done this without your help, and then you’ll decide to return to work.

You’ll need to wait three hours before you can continue. Since this chapter is not time-limited, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

Head to the ROCC Division once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. The Left and Right Gargoyles will be surprised to see you and will ask why you’ve been ignoring their calls.


They will ask if you’ll ever pass through the door again, adding that sending notices to you has been tiresome.


The Left Gargoyle will provoke you, asking if you’re going to pass through the door now. It is recommended to pick the second option.

At that moment, Flump will appear. This line will differ based on your previous choice.

In any case, you’ll notice that Flump is nervous, and you’ll ask him if he’s still upset with Callum. You’ll try to press him to tell you what exactly happened between him and Callum.

To pry information out of Flump, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the gargoyles and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

He won’t want to answer your question and will tell you to ask him something else instead. It’s recommended to ask him about Egypt.

If you choose the option to ask about Egypt, Flump will stay and talk to you a bit about the case, complimenting you. In the other two cases, he will immediately leave. In any case, you will decide to annoy Flump a little to get him to send you back to the field as soon as possible.



Now that you have completed the story, you can start the mandatory and optional chapter tasks. You need to complete one mandatory chapter task and two optional chapter tasks to unlock the next chapter.
Go to Three Broomstick to start the mandatory chapter task. Tulip needs your help to determine if the perspective on her life is correct.

You’ll need to complete several objectives to finish this mandatory chapter task. Feel free to do them in any order you prefer.

While doing these objectives, it is recommended to select the duration that matches their star requirements.

Prioritize actions with bonus progress whenever they are available.

Try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some additional attribute points.

Once you complete all of the tasks, hit the Collect button and return to the Three Broomsticks.

After you complete all the objectives, you can claim the reward in the Wizarding World section of the Wizarding Life tab.

Choose the optional tasks you like. You can Organise a workspace where you can earn Dragon Experience Points, Explore the ROCC at the ROCC Division where you can earn Spinx Experience Points, and Hang out with friends at the Former Student Centre where you can earn Hippogriff Experience Points.

Also, prioritize actions with bonus progress whenever they are available.

Try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some additional attribute points.

This will conclude Chapter 14 of Beyond Hogwarts: Volume 2. You will receive 400 Coins and 2500 Experience Points.
