Chapter 19 – A Farewell To A Friend
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Nineteen of Year Six of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous chapter, Merula, Ben, and you did some final preparations for heading into the Forbidden Forest. You learned Flipendo Maxima, a modified version of the Knockback Jinx that is significantly more powerful than the regular one.
After you finally went to the forest, you quickly got surrounded by multiple Dementors. Sadly, there were way too many of them, and all of your attempts to repel them were in vain. However, you were saved by Madam Rakepick, who drove off all of the Dementors using her Patronus charm. The reason why she did that was so she could finish you off herself.
The fight ensued, and you and your friends were not powerful enough to defeat her. Ben tried his best to protect you, but alas, he couldn’t stop her. Just as she was about to cast the Killing Curse on him, Rowan appeared and pushed him out of the way. Unfortunately, the Killing Curse ended up hitting Rowan instead, and Rakepick was nevertheless satisfied with the outcome, so she disappeared.
Merula, Ben, and you remained there for a while, looking at the motionless body of your dear friend before heading back to the castle.

Walkthrough
Now, the Headmaster asked everyone to gather in the Great Hall, so proceed there when you are ready. As soon as you arrive, you will notice that the overall atmosphere is quite sad. Also, you will be able to interact with some of your friends by tapping on their speech bubbles. All of your friends will look devastated by the news.

Either Penny or Charlie (the one who wasn’t with you in the Buried Vault) will approach you, saying they know why Rowan went into the forest.

Moments later, the Headmaster will arrive, so your conversation with Penny or Charlie will have to wait.

Professor Dumbledore will start addressing the students.

Instead of mentioning Rakepick, the Headmaster will use this opportunity to talk about Rowan.

Professor Dumbledore will say that grief can show itself through different feelings like sadness, fear, and anger, and he’ll stress that there are no wrong emotions, and it takes time to heal. He’ll also let everyone know about Rowan’s dream to become a professor.

For the time being, all new lessons have been suspended, which is the reason why this chapter has no new lessons.

He’ll say a few more words before raising his wand to honor Rowan’s memory.

Everyone else will follow Dumbledore’s example and silently raise their wands.

There is a waiting period of three hours before you can meet with Charlie or Penny. As usual, simply wait until this timer runs out.

Once you’re able to continue, proceed to the corridor to meet with your friend. Your friend will ask how you’re feeling. There are three options to respond with. As Dumbledore said previously, there are no wrong ways to grieve, so feel free to select the option you want.

Charlie will ask you if you remember that night when Bill taught you the Sea Urchin Jinx charm, and when he kept you, Merula, Ben, and Penny talking about the Cursed Vaults. He’ll also remind you that Rowan and he also wanted to help, but that you said it was best for only those who were in the Buried Vault with Rakepick to stay.
You’ll then get to talk about it. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

If you are looking to save some energy, you should prioritize actions tied to your character.

When you’re done, you’ll conclude that Charlie has told Rowan everything he knows about Rakepick and ‘R’.

Learning what you were up against made Rowan even more worried about you and then he decided to follow you from a distance.

Your friend will feel guilty for telling Rowan about ‘R’. You’ll have two options to respond to this. There’s only one person to blame for what happened, and it is Rakepick, which is why it’s recommended to go with the second option.

You’ll finally start realizing how much Rowan cared about you.

Suddenly, Tonks will approach you, saying that everyone should report to their Common Rooms. You’ll notice that she’s feeling very down about what happened.

You’ll remind her that Rowan was her friend too, but there’s no denying that you were Rowan’s closest friend, which only adds to your sadness.

Tonks will break the awkward silence by reminding you of the announcement.

The following part will be different, depending on the house you’re in. However, the task and the star requirements will be the same for each of the houses. The following section will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Gryffindor student.
When you’re ready, proceed to your Common Room. When you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of your housemates. You’ll take one last look at the couch where Rowan used to sit before your Head of House arrives.

The professor will start addressing the students.

Professor McGonagall will say that the Aurors have confirmed that the missing fugitive has left the grounds of Hogwarts and that the Dementors also went looking for him. This means that the students are now allowed to leave the castle. Your Head of House will say a few more words before leaving.

Professor McGonagall will say that she hopes this will be the first step towards a return to normality. After that, she will dismiss you and say that she will always be available to talk if you want.
One of your friends will ask if you think that returning to normal is the right thing to do. There are two options to reply with. This choice won’t impact the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

You’ll then get to plan what to do next. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

Regardless of the house you’re in, there should be a reward action linked to the couch. Prioritize that one if you want to save some energy.

Shortly after you finish this task, you’ll suggest getting a Butterbeer at Three Broomsticks. If you’re in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, you will get some additional scenes involving some of your friends.

Percy will inform Charlie that he and Bill have always watched over him, and now it’s his turn to do the same. He’ll also advise Charlie that it’s time to prioritize his own well-being, which will deeply affect Charlie.

Percy will add before you leave that whenever he comes here to study, he will think of Rowan. There is a waiting period of three hours before you can continue. Since your energy is likely low at this point, it is recommended to wait for this timer to run out and let your energy regenerate in the meantime.

Head to the Three Broomsticks once the waiting time is over. You’ll be able to have a word with some of the characters upon arriving. Ismelda will be curious to know if drinking butterbeer is what you should be doing right now.

Barnaby will answer her question with one of his own.

Apparently, the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts is not in a good mood.

She won’t feel like drinking Butterbeer.

She’ll notice that Ben isn’t there, and Jae will explain that Ben chose not to come, which upsets her. You’ll calmly suggest that she can leave if she wants, and then both she and Ismelda will go.

Once they leave, you will gather your other friends.

You’ll suggest talking about Rowan and sharing some fond memories. This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All of the stars are needed to pass.

There are bonus actions linked to Penny and Chiara. Focus on these if you want to save some energy.

The overall atmosphere will become much better once everyone is done sharing their memories.

However, you’ll feel a bit sad because you can’t remember the last time you had some quality time with Rowan, but Jae will kindly jog your memory.

Jae will jog your memory, mentioning that you were collecting ingredients for a love potion and that he connected you with a witch who brought Powdered Moonstone and Pearl Dust to Hogsmeade. This will remind you that Rowan wanted to accompany you to the Hogsmeade Train Station.
The choice you’ve made during Year 6 Chapter 11 will be referenced here. If you let Rowan accompany you, your character will have a fond memory of that.

You’ll say it gave you time to talk about everything, your friendship, how Rowan taught you to play Gobstones, and how to cast Rictusempra. You will add that you ended it so frustrated with the train and the clock that you cast a spell on each other right then.

It’s those special moments one should remember and cherish.

Charlie will add that memories are forever. Before heading back to Hogwarts, you will thank your friends for helping you remember.
You will have to wait approximately two hours before you can continue. Since your energy bar is likely empty after the previous task, it is recommended simply to wait and let your energy replenish in the meantime.

Proceed to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom once the waiting time is over. Merula will say that she and Ben were discussing how to honor Rowan’s memory.

You’ll be willing to listen to what they have to say. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are two bonus actions linked to Merula. Prioritize these if you’re looking to save some energy.

By the looks of it, Merula wants to kill Rakepick.

Regarding Ben, he won’t be in the mood to discuss anything. Ben will inquire if Rowan shielded any of you the previous night, and you’ll deny it.

Merula will be pretty direct with her next question. If you like her, it is recommended to pick the first option.

You’ll explain to Merula that the danger you’re up against is bigger than Rakepick and that she can guide you to “R,” but if she kills Rakepick, that path to “R” will be lost.

Ben will finally start talking.

It seems like he wants the same thing, but Ben is really having a tough time dealing with the loss of Rowan.

Merula will tell Ben that things can’t remain as they are and that you need to take action. She’ll remind you that Rakepick and ‘R’ want to kill you, and she’ll say that ‘R’ is a big secret.

This will give you an interesting idea.

This will conclude Chapter 19 of Year 6. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins, 2000 Experience Points, and 100 Empathy.
A secret organization of your own, now that sure sounds interesting. What will your friends think about this? And who will you include in this organization? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery.
Thank you for reading.
