Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Courage in Creativity Side Quest of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This side quest is available for students of Year 5, and it should unlock after you reach Chapter 26 of Year 5.

Once you start the quest, Badeea will ask you to meet her in the Great Hall, so go there when you’re ready.

Walkthrough

Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

Badeea will thank you for meeting her. She’ll say that she desperately needs help. You’ll ask her to tell you what’s wrong.

She will say that the Magenta Comstock Young Witch and Wizard Artist Awards are coming to Hogwarts. Apparently, it is the most prestigious underage artist award in the wizarding world.

Badeea will say that Dumbledore is selecting the winner. However, she’ll be unsure if she should be entering the competition.

There are two options for you to reply with. If you like Badeea, it is recommended to select the first option.

You’ll then learn that Badeea wants to prove to her mom that she can make a career as an artist after graduating from Hogwarts.

You will remind her that she already is an amazing artist, so there is nothing she needs to prove.

Unfortunately, her mother doesn’t seem to share the same opinion as you. She wants Badeea to find a practical career, rather than pursuing a career as an artist.

Because of that, Badeea wants to win the Magenta Comstock Award. That way, she could prove that she is talented enough to succeed.

You will ask if there is anything you can do to help. Badeea will tell you that she’s experiencing a creative block, and she needs to get over it before she can enter the competition.

You will confidently tell her that she isn’t going to fail. Still, Badeea won’t be so sure about it.

You will suggest talking about it. The task window will display the recommended attribute levels and the cost of the task. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.

The attribute requirements for this task will be similar to your attribute levels, which will make this task challenging. To convince Badeea, you’ll need to be supportive and understanding.

Below are the questions and answers for this task.

• Why is this happening now? – It happens to every artist. (Empathy)
• Can you help me overcome it? – We’ll get through it together. (Courage)
• What if I don’t win the award? – Trust me, you’ll win! (Knowledge)
• How do I end my creative block? – Let’s think outside the box. (Empathy)
• I only want to impress my mum. – You’ll certainly impress her. (Knowledge)
• Am I talented enough? – You’re more than talented! (Courage)

When you are done, you will receive some friendship experience with Badeea.

You’ll manage to convince Badeea that she can overcome her creative block. Still, she’ll need to figure out what to paint for the competition.

You will immediately offer to help her with that. She will thank you for being so kind and reliable.

If you completed A Hobby A Day side quest, you’ll get some additional lines of dialogue here.

You will then tell Badeea you know someone who is almost as creative as she is. You’ll ask her to meet you on the training grounds. Go there when you are ready to continue.

When you arrive, you will find Diego training with Merula. You’ll approach him and ask for a moment of his time. Merula will tell you that the two of them are busy. Still, Diego will be happy to chat with you.

Needless to say, the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts won’t be happy about that. You will tell her you are trying to break Badeea’s creative block so that she could enter the Magenta Comstock Young Witch and Wizard Artist Awards.

Thankfully, Merula will see reason, and she won’t object anymore. You will ask Diego to show Badeea some of his dance moves.

She’ll wonder how that will help with her creative block. There are two options to reply with. Both of them will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.

You’ll tell Badeea to give Diego a chance to help her. After all, he is an expert when it comes to dancing.

Diego will thank you for your kind words. If you completed Dancing, Dueling, and Diego side quest, you’ll get some additional lines of dialogue here.

You will ask Diego to start with something simple. After thinking for a moment, he will suggest the Cabbage Patch. Badeea will say that she saw that dance move before.

However, she won’t be sure if she is good at it, so she will ask Diego how to start. Diego will tell her to make two fists and move them in a circle. He’ll then demonstrate it.

Moments later, you and Badeea will join him.

Badeea will say she had a lot of fun dancing. She’ll consider enchanting a portrait with Diego’s dance moves.

Merula will say there is no way Badeea can win the competition with a painting of dancers. You’ll realize that she actually wants Badeea to win. She’ll smile and say that she’s not completely heartless.

According to her, Badeea will need to paint something that will really catch the judge’s attention. Something thrilling and jam-packed with action. She’ll suggest painting a duel. Diego will like her idea. Badeea, on the other hand, won’t be sure about it.

Merula will decide to demonstrate it. In other words, you’ll get to duel her again. The task window will show the recommended attribute levels and the cost of the duel. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.

The recommended attribute levels for this duel will be similar to your current attribute levels. This will make the duel quite challenging.

One strategy you can use to increase your chances of winning is to constantly go Aggressive or Sneaky and blast your way to victory with Depulso and Flipendo.

You are not guaranteed to win using this strategy, but it will give you a decent chance of winning.

Once the duel is over, you’ll ask Badeea if it was helpful. She’ll say that dancing and dueling are both brilliant ideas for her painting, but she won’t know what to choose.

She will want to hear your opinion. There are two options to choose from. This choice will affect some dialogue lines, but it won’t significantly change the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Regardless of your choice, Badeea will still be unsure what to paint. You will suggest visiting Hagrid and having some tea.

That way, Badeea can relax and think about her painting. Go to Hagrid’s garden when you are ready to continue.

When you arrive, you’ll see Barnaby talking to Hagrid. They will tell you that one of Kettleburn’s fire crabs got loose, and they are trying to find it. You’ll then tell Hagrid why you came to visit him.

Unfortunately, with the fire crab on the loose, you and Badeea won’t be able to relax and think about the painting, so you’ll decide to help Hagrid find the escaped fire crab.

To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Badeea. Prioritize them to save energy.

Luckily, Badeea will spot the fire crab standing nearby. Hagrid will advise her not to touch it. After all, fire crabs can be quite dangerous.

Barnaby won’t seem to agree with him. According to him, fire crabs are beautiful creatures. You have two options to reply to him.

While this choice won’t significantly impact the story, if you like Barnaby, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Encountering the fire crab will help Badeea get over her creative block.

You’ll be curious to know what she is going to paint. However, Badeea will decide to keep it a secret.

She will say there is one more thing she needs to discuss before she can start painting. She’ll ask you to meet her at the Grand Staircase, so go there when you are ready.

Once you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. Tap on those to see what they have to say.

You and Badeea will approach the portrait of Sir Cadogan. He’ll be glad to see you. Badeea will say that all great artists are also skilled spellcasters. That allows them to enchant their paintings with various enchantments.

In other words, she will need to come up with an impressive enchantment for her painting to win the competition.

Sir Cadogan will figure out that she visited him because he is the most impressive enchanted portrait in Hogwarts.

He’ll ask if you agree with him. There are two options to reply with. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to pick either option.

Shortly after, you and Badeea will start brainstorming some enchantment ideas. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to your character. Focus on that one to save some energy.

When you are done brainstorming, there will be a few interesting options. You’ll ask Badeea which one she prefers.

This will give Badeea an interesting idea. She’ll smile and say that she knows how to enchant her painting. She’ll thank you for the help you provided.

Before she starts painting, you’ll tell her there is another student she can get tips from. And that student is none other than Andre Egwu: Style Wizard.

You will need to wait three hours before Andre is ready to meet with you. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Go to the Clocktower Courtyard once the waiting time is over. You’ll greet Andre and inform him about the competition.

You will kindly ask him to help Badeea by giving her some tips. Thankfully, Andre will be happy to help.

Badeea will tell Andre that her mom wants her to become an engineer. However, Badeea wants to follow her passion and become an artist.

Because of that, she wants to win the award and prove to her mom she is talented enough to succeed in the arts.

According to Andre, presentation is key to any interaction. He will tell Badeea to use the competition as an opportunity to make a statement. Sadly, Badeea won’t know how to do that.

Luckily for her, both you and Andre will be happy to help her. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to your character and Andre. Prioritize them to save energy.

You and Andre will give some much-needed advice to Badeea. She’ll finally feel confident enough to embrace who she is. She’ll thank you for helping her realize that.

Andre will be curious to know what Badeea is painting for the competition. She’ll smile and say that she’s going to keep it a secret.

Andre will ask if you know what Badeea is painting. There are two options to choose from. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick either one.

Before getting started on her painting, Badeea will thank you for all your support. She’ll kindly ask you to be there by her side during the competition.

Not long after that, the ceremony will start. Go to the Great Hall when you are ready to continue. When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

When you approach Badeea, you’ll notice there are a lot of paintings on display. She’ll tell you she isn’t sure she is going to win the Magenta Comstock Young Witch and Wizard Artist Award.

She will wonder if her mother was right. There are two options to reply with. If you like Badeea, it is highly recommended to pick the second option.

Still, Badeea will feel anxious about the competition, so you’ll suggest talking about it to ease her nerves.

To encourage Badeea, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to your character and Badeea’s painting. Prioritize those actions to save energy.

You will tell Badeea that no one at Hogwarts can enchant a painting like her. You’ll say that you are confident she will win the award.

Badeea will thank you for your kind words. Her heart will be filled with joy after hearing you out.

Moments later, Professor Dumbledore will approach you. He’ll be surprised to see you next to Badeea since your name wasn’t on the list of competitors. You will explain that you are supporting your friend. He’ll be glad to hear that.

He will then ask Badeea if she is ready for him to appraise her work. Before that, Badeea will say that you inspired her to draw something truly unique.

If you and Badeea went on dates before, you will get some additional dialogue lines here.

Moments later, Badeea will reveal her painting. It will show two wizards dueling in the forest.

But that’s not all. Badeea will wave her wand, and suddenly, the painting will change. The characters in the painting will be dancing, instead of dueling.

Both you and Professor Dumbledore will find the painting brilliant.

Badeea will end up winning the Magenta Comstock Young Witch and Wizard Artist Award.

You’ll congratulate her on winning this prestigious award. This proves that she has what it takes to succeed as an artist.

Badeea will wholeheartedly thank you for everything you’ve done.

This will conclude Courage in Creativity side quest. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 50 Knowledge, 10 Gems, and 1200 Experience Points.

That was an interesting quest. You helped Badeea find inspiration for her painting, and because of that, she was able to win the competition. Most importantly, you helped her find happiness in who she is.
