  • Introductory Quest: Complete the side quest “Creature Activities” to unlock this feature. Completing this quest rewards 1 Red Notebook and the Expedition rewards.

How Expeditions Work

  • Cost: Expeditions cost Pages or Notebooks, depending on the quest length.
  • Rewards: Possible rewards include Coins, Gems, Energy, Creature Food, Club XP, Creature XP, and Regular XP. Expeditions lasting 20 hours or more also grant a Chocolate Frog Card.

  • Stars and Criteria: Earn the best rewards by achieving 3 stars, which requires selecting a creature that fits the Expedition criteria.
  • Duration: Longer Expeditions offer better rewards but have higher costs.
  • Creature Unavailability: The chosen creature is unavailable for feeding or bonding during the Expedition.
  • Refresh Rate: Expeditions refresh approximately every 24 hours. This can be delayed if an active Expedition extends beyond the refresh time or if players delay claiming rewards.

  • Creature Level: Higher-level creatures tend to perform better, helping you achieve higher star ratings.

Expeditions lasting 20 hours or more and earning 3 stars also provide Chocolate Frog Cards. The creature sent on an expedition receives a ‘Bond Bonus,’ which multiplies its XP when it is next bonded.

Creature-Specific Expeditions

Occasionally, there are special expeditions that require specific creatures. These expeditions offer unique rewards and typically have a higher difficulty level due to specific requirements and limited availability.

  • Duration and Costs: These Expeditions are longer and more expensive.
  • Exclusive Creatures: You can only send the specified creature on these Expeditions. They might appear in your game even if you don’t own the specified creature, but you need to adopt it to start the Expedition.
  • Availability: Available from Year 1, Chapter 6.
  • Limited Time: You have 4 days to activate the Expedition. The countdown starts whether or not you open your game.
  • Access: Once activated, the Expedition can be accessed via the Expedition Mailbox or the Event tab.
