Family Feast Part 3
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Family Feast Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part of the story, you introduced Jules to our Hogwarts friends, starting with Penny, followed by Merula and Ismelda.
Despite inviting them to the family feast, Merula and Ismelda declined, feeling insulted for personal reasons. A disagreement between Merula and Jules ensued, but you intervened and suggested settling it through a peaceful game of Gobstones. Despite being unfamiliar with the game, Jules won, making Merula and Ismelda agree to attend the family feast.
Later, in Hogsmeade, Andre shared the secret that Jules had never had a friend group before, shedding light on her behavior. You then offered Jules advice at the Three Broomsticks, encouraging her to listen and let others express themselves. Fortunately, she took your advice, and now, the next friend on the introduction list is Barnaby.

(Disclaimer: The walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a graduate student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress with the main story.)
Proceed to the Dark Forest when you are ready to meet with Barnaby. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll find that Barnaby is distracted looking at the creature.
Before approaching Barnaby, you’ll ask if Jules is prepared to try a new approach to making friends.
You’ll commend Jules, saying it’s a fantastic first step towards friendship, and suggest doing the same to understand how Barnaby communicates. Shortly after, you’ll go to Barnaby and introduce your friend Jules to him.
You’ll invite him and his family to join you for a family feast, but Barnaby will be too focused on the creature to pay much attention to you.
You’ll ask him if he is all right, and he’ll mention not wanting to be rude and explain that he’s entirely absorbed in the creature, unable to focus on anything else until he figures out what’s wrong with it.
Jules, however, will stay silent.
Following that, Barnaby will suggest that everyone might be having trouble focusing right now and that it would be better to talk later. There are two options to choose from. If you like Jules, it is recommended to pick the first option.
In any case, Barnaby will propose explaining everything about the creature to you, hoping that you might notice something he hasn’t. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.
Bonus progress actions are tied to the creature and Barnaby. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.
After explaining, you’ll learn that Barnaby went to the woods to find a friend for his Knarl. However, the creature he found didn’t behave like a Knarl at all after spending time with him.
He’ll mention keeping the creature close by feeding it treats from his pockets, which is odd since Knarls usually shy away from treats from humans. Afterward, you’ll ask Jules what she thinks is wrong with the creature, and her answer will surprise you, showing that she’s learned her lesson.
Barnaby will suggest that he believes the Knarl is under the Imperius Curse, being controlled by someone else. Alternatively, he wonders if a memory charm has gone wrong, causing the Knarl to forget its true nature.
Barnaby will start to panic, saying that he was hoping you’d notice something different that he might have missed.
Following that, you’ll commend Jules for listening and explain that Barnaby is subtly asking for help. You’ll suggest that she share her knowledge and speak from her own experience to assist Barnaby.
Barnaby will feel relieved and ask her what it is all about.
Barnaby will start his theories again.
Jules will discover that the creature isn’t really magical, it’s just a hedgehog. This discovery will make everyone laugh.
Barnaby will realize that Jules is right and praise her skills, and he’ll also thank you for introducing him to Jules.
He’ll bring up the idea of calling his uncle Cecil to show you their favorite game of Werewolf Tag, but he’ll note that his uncle isn’t here right now, he’s in New Orleans studying something called loup-garou. You’ll assure him that everything is fine and suggest that he teach you how to play Werewolf Tag in the meantime.
Jules will then mention that it went really well, thanking you and feeling confident about meeting someone else.
Go to the Great Hall to meet with Tulip. You’ll introduce your friend, Jules, to Tulip.
You’ll invite her and her family to join you for a special family appreciation feast. Tulip will feel enthusiastic, mentioning that she’ll call her grandmothers, skilled cooks, and try to convince them to make her famous Fire-breather’s Chili recipe. Afterward, she’ll share that it’s the right time for your visit because she needs a lift in spirits. Curious, you’ll ask about what happened.
Tulip will add that if Ben is attending the feast, she’s unsure whether she should show up. Jules will mention understanding that feeling since she’s had plenty of disagreements with people she likes.
Tulip will realize that Jules understands exactly what she’s going through.
After that, Jules will request a moment, and you’ll ask her what’s wrong.
Following that, she’ll ask you for advice. You can reply in two ways. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.
Shortly after, Tulip will ask you if everything is alright, and you’ll inform her that Jules just wanted to ask you something. These lines will differ based on your previous choice.
Then you’ll suggest that she share what happened so that you can find a way to resolve things before the feast. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.
The bonus progress actions are tied to Tulip. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.
Once you’re informed, you’ll discover that Tulip pranked Ben by replacing his Butterbeer with a harmless Gurdyroot Infusion, causing him to react strongly.
Tulip will add that she feels terrible because Ben is angry with her about something she can’t undo.
Jules will mention that she fully understands Tulip and is in a similar situation herself. She’ll add that after causing the explosion of Penny’s potion, Penny was upset.
Jules will mention that she’s starting to feel a bit different than before, and, thanks to your advice, she managed to get closer to Barnaby by helping him with the creature. She’ll also want to return to Penny’s to smooth things over and try again with her. You’ll be pleasantly surprised because it seems like your advice has had a positive impact. This line will differ based on your previous choice.
Tulip will mention that neither she nor Jules can turn back time to correct their mistakes. She’ll express uncertainty about fixing things before the feast starts. Following that, you’ll suggest they try to apologize and smooth things over with their friends.
Jules will doubt that Penny will want to listen to her, but you’ll assure her that Penny can be surprisingly understanding. You’ll then suggest going with her to ensure Penny will give her the opportunity to apologize.
Tulip will say that she just had to do a good bit of venting before she could genuinely mean her apology. After that, you’ll head to the Potions Classroom, where Penny is, so Jules can apologize to her. Proceed to the Potions Classroom when you are ready. When you arrive, you’ll thank Penny for agreeing to listen to you.
You’ll notice that she’s still cleaning, and you’ll be surprised about that. Penny will explain that after the explosion, she got nervous due to the lack of time and ended up dropping beakers and breaking ingredients.
She’ll share that the mess kept getting bigger, and now she’s quite worried about not being able to get the potion to Tonks in time. Following that, Jules will say that it might be best to come another time. There are three options to choose from. If you like Jules, it is recommended to pick the first option.
In any case, Penny will say she’s too busy to hang out right now because she needs to finish her potion. You’ll offer to help, but Penny will doubt it because you and Jules have different ways of making potions. Jules will assure Penny that this time, she’ll listen and apologize for what happened before.
Assisting Penny requires earning five stars within eight hours (eight hours and three stars for Year 3 – 4, and eight hours and five stars for Year 5+). Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.
Bonus progress actions are tied to Penny and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.
After you finish, the potion will be ready, and Penny will thank you for helping. You’ll respond by saying that she is the most deserving because she kept you on track all the time. This line will differ based on your previous choice.
You’ll be glad you helped each other and ask why Tonks needs the potion. Penny will explain that Tonks is preparing for a three-spar duel, and Jules will say it sounds epic. After that, you’ll suggest taking the potion to Tonks with Jules so she can meet Tonks. Penny will agree, saying it gives her time to clean up before Snape returns.
Go to the Clocktower Courtyard to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You’ll approach Tonks and introduce Jules to her.
You’ll mention that you helped Penny brew a Wiggenweld potion for her duel earlier, and you’ll say that you hope that you’re not too late. Tonks will say that she is glad to have met Jules but will share her disappointment because the duel is forfeit.
You’ll ask her why, and she’ll explain that her teammates chickened out, accidentally casting the Jelly-Legs Curse on each other. Accordingly, she can’t compete since she can’t fight against three opponents at once.
Tonks will reply that she would love to see her fight three opponents at once. You’ll quickly jump to help, saying that Jules didn’t mean it that way, and Jules will apologize. Jules will add that she just wouldn’t give up on the fight, giving you the idea to suggest that Tonks doesn’t have to give up either because you are there to help her and be her teammates.
Tonks will say that she appreciates your offer but thinks it’s not a good idea because her team had the whole strategy worked out, and you don’t have time to practice.
Jules will say she doesn’t want Tonks to give up easily and that you both want to help her.
Tonks will then offer to explain the strategy to you. To learn the strategy, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.
Bonus progress actions are tied to Barnaby and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.
When you’re done, you’ll learn that Tonks’s and her teammates’ strategy is to develop a two-pronged strategy, which means that one defender stands up front, protecting the two offensive duelers in the back.
Then Tonks will ask you which position you choose. You have two options to choose from. Pick the option that you like the most.
Shortly after, Tonks will announce that since everything is settled, it’s time to head to the Dueling Club for a three-on-three duel.
This will mark the end of Part 3 of the Family Feast Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems.
After a tense moment between friends, Jules and Penny have managed to make up. Now, you and Jules have teamed up with Tonks for the upcoming dueling competition. With Tonks’ expertise in the area, you have learned her strategies well and are all set for the competition. Who will be the winner? Find out in the next part. Stay tuned!
