The Halloween Feast Part 1
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for The Halloween Feast Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This adventure is available for students of all years and once started, you have 3 days and 2 hours to complete it.
As soon as you begin, you’ll receive a task to attend the Halloween Feast. When you are ready, hit the GO button and proceed to the Great Hall.

Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 1 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 1 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.
As you arrive, you’ll notice that some characters have speech bubbles above them. Tap on those to interact with them and see what they have to say.
Once you’re done with that, Penny will wish you a Happy Halloween. She’ll then ask which part of this holiday you like the most. You have three options to respond with.
Each of those choices will get you a different response from Penny, but the general outcome won’t be affected.
You’ll then receive a task to see how everyone is doing. Completing it requires you to obtain five stars within an hour. To pass, however, you only need one star.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Professor Snape and the Grey Lady. Prioritize them to save energy.
When you are done, you’ll see that pretty much everyone is having a lovely time, but something is still missing – the entertainment. Generally, the Headmaster is in charge of it, but for some reason, he’s absent from the Great Hall. Perhaps you should look for him?
Penny will offer to join you. You can accept her offer if you feel like having company. Keep in mind that this choice will slightly alter the next task.
For the next task, proceed to the Training Grounds to look for Professor Dumbledore.
When you get there, instead of the Headmaster, you’ll find someone completely unexpected – Fenrir Greyback.
If you took Penny with you, she’ll be absolutely terrified. After all, the werewolves are her worst fear. You’ll quickly tell her to run and get help.
Until the help arrives, you’ll have to hold the werewolves off. Tap on the crossed wands icon to open the task window.
This will display the recommended attribute levels as well as the cost of each attempt. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
Recommended attribute levels for this task will always be similar to your attributes. This will make the duel challenging, regardless of your attributes.
One strategy you can use to win this duel involves going Sneaky and constantly hitting the enemy with the Knockback Jinx. This way, you should be able to defeat your opponent relatively easily.
This strategy was tested with a Year 1 character, and it worked fairly well.
Also, at the time of writing this Walkthrough, the werewolf was going through the following pattern of moves: Sneaky > Defensive > Aggressive > Defensive (repeat). There are ways for you to take advantage of it.
During the first turn, you can go Aggressive and use your highest damaging spell (Depulso if you have it, otherwise use Expelliarmus). During the second turn, you can go Sneaky and hit the werewolf with Flipendo. If you don’t get stunned, go Sneaky on turn 3 and use Flipendo, which will result in you winning the duel. If you do get stunned, you can simply go Aggressive during turn 3, which will result in a draw and remove the stun effect from you.
Then, on turn 4, you can go Sneaky and use Flipendo again. If you don’t get stunned, just go Aggressive and hit the werewolf with Expelliarmus (or Depulso) on turn 5 and you will win the duel. If you get stunned during turn 4, just go Sneaky on turn 5, which will result in a draw and remove stun from you. Then, on turn 6, you can go Sneaky and use Filpendo, which will result in you winning the duel.
Fenrir will be surprised by your strength after you defeat one of his werewolves. You’ll have three options to respond to him.
If you choose to attack him, you’ll be tasked with casting the Knockback Jinx.
This, however, will have almost no effect and you’ll be left at the mercy of three ferocious werewolves.
Thankfully, the timely arrival of Professor Dumbledore will scare them into fleeing.
Before his arrival, he already defeated five werewolves in Hagrid’s Hut. Dumbledore will wonder what happened to Chiara Lobosca – the student that was attacked by the werewolves. After taking a look at her, he’ll tell you that she doesn’t appear to have been bitten.
The Headmaster will decide to tend to Chiara while you go and meet Cecil Lee – an expert from the Werewolf Capture Unit. Go to the Charms classroom when you are ready to meet him.
Once you arrive, Cecil will introduce himself to you and explain that he’s in charge of locating and capturing Fenrir Grayback. He’ll then ask you to tell him about the werewolf attack.
Explaining what happened requires earning five stars within one hour. One star is needed to pass. (Year 3 and above students will need to earn five stars within three hours).
This is fairly similar to most other story tasks so far. Focus on bonus progress actions in order to save some energy. There is one such action tied to Cecil Lee.
Once you are done, you’ll learn that Barnaby is actually Cecil’s nephew, which certainly explains a lot of things.
Cecil will ask you to help him with capturing Fenrir Grayback. In return, he will offer you a place in the Werewolf Capture Unit. You can respond in three different ways.
If this is something you’d like for our character, it is recommended to go with the first option. However, no matter which option you select, the outcome of the story will be the same, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.
You will learn that Cecil isn’t particularly fond of werewolves and would prefer eliminating them before they get the chance to harm anyone. He will advise you to study those creatures and learn everything you can about them.
For the next task, you need to study werewolves with Rowan. Hit the GO button and proceed to your Common Room.
When you get there, you’ll be able to interact with some of the students by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.
You will thank Rowan for agreeing to study with you. As you already know, Rowan wants to become a professor at Hogwarts one day, and getting bitten by a werewolf would make things complicated, to say the least.
Moments later, you will start studying werewolves. Studying with Rowan is a three-hour task that requires you to earn five stars. Since only one star is needed to pass, this shouldn’t be too difficult to accomplish.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Rowan and the Daily Prophet. Prioritize those actions to save energy.
Once you are done, Rowan will ask you what to do in case you become a werewolf. You have three response options. Some of these will result in fairly hilarious lines of dialogue, so be sure to read through them.
None of the options seem to affect the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick the option you find the most interesting.
Shortly after, Part One of the Halloween Feast adventure will conclude. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 100 Coins.
