Lone Wolf Part 1

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Lone Wolf Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. This adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above. While playing it, you will be able to investigate a werewolf attack together with Chiara Lobosca, a werewolf girl you first met during the Halloween Feast adventure.

Now, you’ll get the chance to work with her, gain her trust and eventually even befriend Chiara. But there’s much more to it. As soon as you start, Ben will ask you to meet him at the Courtyard to discuss some recent rumors. Proceed there when you are ready.

Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 2 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the students. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

After greeting him, Ben will ask you a question about rumors. There are three options to respond with, but none of these will influence the story in any significant way, so feel free to pick whichever one you want.

He’ll then tell you about the latest rumor. Apparently, there’s been a werewolf attack at Hogwarts.

Sadly, he won’t know any details about it, so you’ll suggest asking around to see if anyone could tell you more.

To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within one hour. One star is required to pass.

While it is entirely possible to do this task with a single energy bar, if you are looking to optimize your energy usage, it is recommended to earn a single star and let the timer expire. This way, you will be able to save some energy, which could help you in the long run, especially since the adventure is time-limited. 

However, if you want to earn some extra rewards and a chance for Chocolate Frogs, you should fully complete this task. It is also worth noting there are bonus progress actions tied to your character and some of the students.

When you are done, you will sum up what you’ve learned about the attack. During the last full moon, a girl was attacked by a werewolf in the Forbidden Forest.

If you completed the Halloween Feast adventure, you’ll tell Ben that there is a chance Fenrir Greyback might be behind the attack. If you didn’t complete that adventure, you’ll say there is a chance it could be related to the Cursed Vaults.

Ben’s response will be different, depending on the year you’re in.

In any case, you need to learn more about the attack. Sadly, you don’t know the identity of the girl who was attacked. Perhaps your Hufflepuff friend could tell you more.

When you are ready, proceed to the Training Grounds to meet Penny. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters by tapping on their speech bubbles.

Shortly after greeting her, you’ll ask Penny if she knows anything about the rumor you’re investigating. Needless to say, your Hufflepuff friend is quite sensitive when it comes to werewolves.

You’ll try your best to convince her to help you. If you completed the Halloween Feast adventure, you’ll tell Penny there is a chance that Fenrir Greyback is behind the attack.

If you haven’t completed that adventure, you’ll tell her that the attack could be related to the Cursed Vaults.

Still, you’ll have to do some more investigating in order to find out what really happened.

You’ll ask Penny if she knows the name of the girl who was attacked. Sadly, she doesn’t, but she might know someone who does.

However, before she gets the chance to tell you more, Madam Hooch will interrupt both of you. Apparently, you will have to wait until the class is over in order to continue your conversation.

Attending Flying Class requires earning five stars within three hours. One star is required to pass for students up to Year 5 Chapter 16. For students past Year 5 Chapter 17, all five stars are required to pass.

Madam Hooch and one of your classmates have bonus progress actions linked to them. Prioritize these to save some energy.

When you are done, Penny will tell you that Chiara Lobosca might know more about the werewolf attack. If you completed the Halloween Feast adventure, you’ll immediately remember her. 

You’ll decide to talk to her and see what she knows. Head to the Great Hall when you are ready to meet Chiara. When you get there, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the students. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

After approaching Chiara, you will ask if she’s also investigating the werewolf attack. She’ll be quite shocked to hear you know about that. If this is your first time meeting Chiara, you’ll introduce yourself to her.

You’ll then explain your plan to her.

Sadly, Chiara won’t know who the victim is. You’ll suggest working together. After all, two heads are smarter than one. Sadly, she doesn’t want you getting too close to her.

She’ll then ask you an interesting question. You have two options to respond with. While this choice won’t directly influence the outcome of the adventure, if you like Chiara, it is recommended to pick the second option.

You’ll try again to ask her to cooperate, but she’ll seem quite hesitant to do so.

In the end, you’ll have to persuade her. The task window will display the recommended attribute levels as well as the cost of each attempt.

The attribute requirements are pretty much the same as your attribute levels, which might make this task pretty challenging.

This is fairly similar to a meal with a friend. Simply pick the friendly and supportive options, and you’ll be done in no time. Below are the questions and answers to them.

• Why are you investigating? – To protect Hogwarts (Courage)
• Why do you want to team up? – Two heads are better than one. (Empathy)
• How do you feel about werewolves? – They’re misunderstood. (Empathy)
• I can handle this on my own… – Yes, but you don’t have to. (Knowledge)
• What good will teaming up do? – We’ll uncover the truth faster. (Courage)
• I’m just not sure about this… – I could really use your help. (Empathy)
• You’re better off without me… – I think I’m better off with you (Knowledge)

When you are done, Chiara will agree to work together. She’ll mention that the victim’s name might be in Madam Pomfrey’s patient files.

Sadly, Madam Pomfrey is quite strict when it comes to patient files. Regardless of that, you’ll come up with a plan.

Head to the Hospital Wing when you are ready to continue. Once you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of the patients before proceeding.

You’ll then explain your plan to Chiara. You will distract Madam Pomfrey and keep her occupied while Chiara looks through the patient files.

She’ll be curious to know how you are going to distract Madam Pomfrey. Perhaps faking an injury will do the trick? Chiara will give you a useful piece of advice.

Two of you will approach Madam Pomfrey and put your plan into motion. She will be curious to know what ails you.

There are three options to respond with. Each of these will lead to a different dialogue, but the outcome will be the same, so feel free to pick the one you find the most appropriate for the situation.

Madam Pomfrey will decide to take a look at you. Distracting her is your next task. Students of Year 2-3 need to earn five stars within an hour to complete it. Students of Year 4+ need to earn five stars within three hours.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Madam Pomfrey and the cabinet. Focus on those actions to save energy.

After finishing the examination, Madam Pomfrey will say there is nothing wrong with you. She will also say that Chiara often helps her at the Hospital Wing.

Shortly after, Madam Pomfrey will leave, and Chiara will tell you that she was successful in her mission. You’ll learn that the name of the student who was attacked is Pippa Macmillan.

As it turns out, the rumors might be true after all.

You’ll immediately decide to talk to the victim. Head to the Charms classroom when you’re ready to question Pippa.

Luckily, she’ll still be there when you arrive. After introducing yourself, you’ll tell her that you want to ask her about the werewolf attack.

Pippa will tell you that she is not entirely sure a werewolf was behind the attack.

You’ll ask her to tell you everything she can remember. Talking about the attack is your next task.

To complete it, you need to earn five stars within three hours. One star is required to pass for students up to Year 5 Chapter 16. For students past Year 5 Chapter 17, all five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions linked to Pippa, Chiara, and your character. Completing those actions should save you some energy.

When you are done, Pippa will sum up everything she can remember. She’ll say that she remembers a howl, a big, white creature, and getting scratched.

Chiara will ask if you think Pippa was attacked by a werewolf. There are two options to respond with. This choice won’t impact the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick either option.

Chiara will then apologize to Pippa. This will leave the victim of the attack completely confused.

If you know Chiara’s secret, you’ll slowly start putting the pieces of a puzzle together. Otherwise, you’ll notice that she looks completely terrified. 

Before giving you an explanation, Chiara will hastily run out of the classroom.
