How to Learn Crucio

Hello everyone. Here is a guide on how to learn the Cruciatus Curse, aka Crucio. This is one of the most powerful spells in the game. If you don’t mind using the Dark Arts, this spell will be immensely useful, especially since you learn it relatively early in the game.

You will be able to learn Crucio during the quest called “In the Shadow of the Study”. This is one of Sebastian’s relationship quests. During it, you, Sebastian, and Ominus will look for Salazar Slytherin’s scriptorium which might contain the information on how to cure Sebastian’s sister Anne.

Initially, Ominis will be against the idea, but you’ll manage to convince him to change his mind. Luckily, you will manage to find the way to the scriptorium, and while exploring it, you will learn that Ominis is a Parselmouth.

Thanks to his rare ability, he’ll be able to open the door that prevented you from going further. Not long after that, you and your friends will be trapped inside the strange room, and the only way to go forward would be for one of you to cast the Cruciatus Curse.

This is where you’ll need to make a difficult decision. You have three options to choose from. If you don’t want to learn this Unforgivable Curse, you should select the first option. If you do want to learn it, pick the second or the third option.

If you pick the second option, you will learn the Cruciatus Curse, and Sebastian will cast it on you after that. If you choose the third option, Sebastian will teach you the spell, and you’ll be casting it on him.

As soon as the spell is cast, the door will open, and you and your friends will be able to access the scriptorium.

Shortly after, the quest will end and if you agreed to learn Crucio, you will be able to use it from now on.
