How to Unlock and Upgrade Your Broom
Hello everyone. Here is a guide on how to unlock and upgrade your broom. To unlock the ability to fly, you first need to complete the “Flying Class” quest. During this quest, you will get familiar with the flight controls and everything you can do on a broom.

Once you finish this quest, you’ll be able to visit the Spintwitches Sporting Needs shop in Hogsmeade. There, you will meet Albie Weekes, who will sell you your first broom.

You can choose one of several broom models. Each of them will cost 600 Coins, and the only difference between them is the looks. Your flight speed and handling won’t be determined by the broom model you’re using, so feel free to choose the broom you like the most.

You can also preview each of the brooms. This should help you with your decision about which one to buy.

Upon purchasing your first broom, Albie will tell you he has some ideas for upgrades that will improve the performance of any broom you fly. He’ll need you to conduct a broom flight and report back to him.

He will tell you to meet a student named Imelda Reyes and compete against her. This will start the “Flight Test” quest.

You’ll need to go to the Quidditch Pitch and talk to Imelda. Your objective will be to beat her time on the course.

When you start the race, you’ll need to go through the rings and reach the goal as fast as possible. Bear in mind that your race time will be penalized for each ring you miss. It is also worth noting that your Speed Burst Meter will be refilled whenever you pop any of the yellow bubbles, which will allow you to significantly increase your speed.

Once you beat Imelda’s time, head back to Albie Weekes and tell him about your race. He’ll thank you for the information.
Not long after you complete “Percival Rackham’s Trial”, you will receive a quest called “Sweeping the Competition”. You’ll need to go back to Albie Weekes and purchase the first broom upgrade for 1000 Coins.

Once you do that, Mr. Weekes will ask for your help once again. He’ll tell you about another course near Irondale.

When you are ready to continue, head to the place marked on your map. Imelda will be eager to see you try to beat her flying record.

Once again, it is recommended to take advantage of the yellow bubbles to fill up your Speed Burst Meter.

After beating Imelda’s flying record, you should head back to Mr. Weekes and tell him about the race. He’ll thank you for the information and say he’s glad that you decided to collaborate with him.

Some time after you complete “Charles Rookwood’s Trial”, you will receive a quest called “The Sky Is The Limit”. Once again, you’ll need to purchase the upgrade for your broom. This one will cost 4000 Coins.

When you do that, Albie will tell you he needs your help again. This time, you’ll need to go to the place on your map, far to the southeast of Hogwarts.

Imelda will be surprised to see you. She’ll say that most of her classmates decided not to show up. She will be quite confident you won’t be able to beat her time.

Once again, try your best to optimize your Speed Burst Meter by popping the yellow bubbles.

Imelda will admit she’s impressed by your flying skill. You’ll get the opportunity to chat for a while and learn more about her.

Next, you should go back to Mr. Weekes and tell him about the race. He’ll say that he knows exactly what to do for his final upgrade.

Not long after that, you will be able to purchase a final broom upgrade. This one will cost you 7500 Coins.

Hopefully, this guide will help you unlock and upgrade your broom. Thank you for reading and see you soon with more guides for Hogwarts Legacy.
