Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for Love Story Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery.

During the previous part, you talked to Madame Villanelle, Celestina Warbeck, and Xenophilius Lovegood. Each of them told you their unique love story, and you got enough interesting stories to share on your date.

You then went to meet with your date in the Courtyard, but you couldn’t find them anywhere. Luckily, Liz told you she saw your date studying in the Library, so that’s where you should be heading next.

Since the adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Go to the library when you’re ready. Once you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. Madam Pince will be surprised to see you back so soon. She will tell you that one of your friends made quite a mess while studying in the library.

You’ll ask her if she saw your date by any chance. Apparently, that exactly is the one she was talking about.

You’ll ask Madam Pince if you can take a look at the books that were left behind by your date. Thankfully, she won’t mind it. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Madam Pince. Prioritize it to save a bit of energy.

After going through the books, you will learn that your date was researching the Elixir of Life. You will ask Madam Pince if she knows anything about it. Unfortunately, she’ll tell you that the Elixir of Life isn’t something she is willing to discuss with you.

There are three options for you to convince her. While each option will result in the same outcome, it is somewhat recommended to pick the third one and ask her nicely.

You will learn that the Elixir of Life is an extremely rare substance produced by the Philosopher’s Stone. Anyone who drinks it will have their life prolonged indefinitely.

You will quickly realize that your date might be in danger. Madam Pince will say that only a fairly unscrupulous adult would help a student track down the Elixir of Life. This will give you an interesting idea. You will decide to look for Mundungus Fletcher and see if he knows anything.

When you’re ready to proceed, head to Knockturn Alley. Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with some of the Knockturn denizens and listen to what they have to say. Mundungus will express his delight in seeing you and assume that you’re interested in examining his goods. You’ll swiftly clarify that you’re searching for your date and also inquire about the Elixir of Life

As it turns out, Fletcher did see your date asking about the Elixir of Life recently. He’ll tell you that he recently acquired a bottle of it.

You’ll be surprised to hear that. Mundungus will ask if you trust him. There are two options to reply with. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so you can feel free to pick either option. However, if you like Mundungus, it is recommended to select the first option.

In any case, Fletcher will ask for 200 Galleons for the Elixir of Life. Since that is no small amount of money, you will ask him to let you inspect the bottle first. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours (eight hours for Year 6+). All five stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Mundungus. Focus on it to save some energy.

After examining the bottle, you will realize that it isn’t the Elixir of Life. Your previous choice will take effect here.

Once he realizes that you’ve figured it out, Fletcher will admit that the elixir he wanted to sell you is fake.

You will wonder why your date stood you up and went to search for the Elixir of Life. Mundungus will assume that your friend got spooked by something. He’ll say that being able to control how your story ends is definitely tempting.

You’ll remember that everything began with Professor McGonagall’s story, which had a rather sorrowful ending. You’ll start to wonder if your date’s quest for the Elixir of Life is somehow connected to that story.

After thinking about it for a bit, you will decide to head back to Hogwarts and talk to Professor McGonagall. You’ll approach the Professor and ask for a moment of her time. Thankfully, she’ll agree to hear you out. You will quickly tell her that you and your date were gathering love stories. Unfortunately, for some reason, your date stood you up.

You will also say that you think your friend is looking for the Elixir of Life. As it turns out, Professor McGonagall is well aware of that. She’ll explain that she saw the mess of books in the library, and after talking to Madam Pince, she went to see the culprit.

You’ll ask Professor McGonagall to tell you more. She will first want to explain some things about the Elixir of Life to you. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Professor McGonagall. Prioritizing it should save you a bit of energy.

You’ll thank the Professor for explaining the dangers of seeking the Elixir of Life. You will start to realize why your date would think that the danger was worth it.

Professor McGonagall will remind you that all good things eventually come to an end. That’s precisely what gives them their meaning. She will advise you to savor every moment you have with your loved one.

You’ll recall the gift she received from Madam Rosmerta, and you’ll ask her about it. She will tell you it was a teapot from Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop. You will learn that Madam Puddifoot used the very same teapot to serve Professor McGonagall and her husband Elphinstone when they used to visit her shop.

Interestingly enough, Elphinstone proposed to her many times in the tea shop before she finally accepted on their walk by the lake. You’ll wonder why she waited that long to accept. She will explain why that was the case.

Professor McGonagall will say that Madam Rosmerta’s gift is a nice reminder of the happy moments she shared with her late husband. She’ll also say that the best gift is the time you and your loved one have together.

You will admit that you don’t know where to look for your date. Thankfully, Professor McGonagall will give you a helpful hint.

You will realize that your date is most likely waiting for you at the Three Broomsticks, so go there when you are ready. Once you arrive, you’ll find your date waiting for you. As it turns out, Madam Rosmerta went out of her way to make the evening extra special.

You will learn that your date lost track of time while searching for the Elixir of Life.

You will wonder why your friend was searching for the elixir in the first place. Thankfully, you will be offered an explanation. Learning what happened is your next task. You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete it. All five stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action linked to your date. Prioritize it if you want to save some energy.

You will learn that your date kept reading about the love stories that ended too soon. Not wanting the same to happen to you was the reason for searching for the Elixir of Life.

You’ll quickly realize that your date was afraid your time together would someday end. You will say that Professor McGonagall told you all good things eventually end.

Your date will ask for your forgiveness. There are two options to reply with. Needless to say, it is recommended to select the first option here.

You’ll then get to share one of the love stories you heard before with your date. There are three options to choose from. This choice will affect the following lines of dialogue, but it won’t significantly change the story, so feel free to pick the story you like most.

After hearing your story, your date will say there is one story that is extra special… the story of the two of you.

Moments later, your date with present you with a lovely gift.

This will conclude Part 4 of the Love Story Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 4 Gems, 1000 Experience Points, and 3 Chocolate Frogs.

You’ll earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

You will also receive the custom lockbox you got from your date. You can place it in your Dormitory or the Secret Clubhouse. Occasionally, you can tap on it to receive energy.

That was a lovely adventure. You got to learn many interesting love stories, and you also learned that time spent with your loved one is the biggest gift one can ask for. And on top of that, you got to spend a lovely evening with the person dear to you.
