Now Hiring in Hogsmeade  Part 1

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Now Hiring in Hogsmeade Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. The Hogsmeade Street Fair is just around the corner, and local shopkeepers are calling on students for support! Team up with your friends and lend a hand as each shop faces unique challenges.

Proceed to Hogsmeade when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.  When you arrive, you’ll notice that Hogsmeade is bustling with people. You’ll run into Ben, who excitedly tells you that the Hogsmeade Street Fair is about to begin. 

Curious, you’ll ask him what it’s all about, and he’ll explain that “the pamphlet said it’s a celebration of local businesses and community building. Some of the shops are going to have special showcases and unique offerings.”

Shortly after, Tonks will join you. She’ll also notice how incredibly excited Ben is about the fair. These lines will vary depending on which year you’re currently in.

Some of the shopkeepers are looking to hire students for a bit of extra help during the fair. Each one is offering a unique, shop-specific reward if you work for them on the final day. Throughout the event, you’ll be able to choose where you want to work and decide which shopkeeper you’d like to help in the end.

After that, Tonks will ask what you think about picking up some part-time work. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You all agree to take a look around and see what the fair has to offer. To look around the Fair, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to Tonks and the guy next to the Tea & Cakes stand. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll find out that Barnaby is at Maestro’s, Lenny is at Honeydukes, and Tulip is at the Three Broomsticks. Now it’s up to you to visit all three locations and decide where you’d like to work on the final fair day.

Go to the Meastro’s Music Shop to check out Meastro’s. You’ll get different lines of dialogue if you haven’t met Mr. Maestro yet.

After a brief conversation with him, he’ll ask you why you’re interested in working for him. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

In any case, he’ll give you a chance to prove yourself, and your first task will be to help them come up with a theme for their final day showcase. You’ll assure him that he can count on you and immediately suggest brainstorming some ideas together.

To brainstorm showcase themes, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass. 

The bonus progress actions are tied to Barnaby. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Everyone will agree on the idea, The Beach – Symphony of Summer. Maestro will be pleased and add that if you keep up the good work and choose to help them on the final day, a musical reward will be waiting for you. He’ll then suggest that you assist Barnaby in gathering a few items for the beach theme, which means you’re heading straight to the beach!

Proceed to the Open Ocean when you are ready to gather materials. Barnaby will say he wouldn’t have expected this kind of… unconventional task. When Tonks mentioned that the shopkeepers needed student helpers, he thought it would be something more traditional, like helping customers or tidying up the shop. This definitely involves more creative freedom.

Following that, he’ll ask if you prefer more creative tasks or more traditional ones. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

After a brief chat with Barnaby, you’ll suggest starting to comb the beach for some materials. That way, you’ll both stay true to Maestro’s vision for his showcase.

To gather beach materials, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll manage to gather all the materials needed for Maestro’s beach theme. 

Barnaby will say he had a great time and add that this trip may have even inspired him to write a new song for the showcase.

Go to the Meastro Music Club to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. There, you’ll run into Lenny. If you haven’t met him before, you’ll get additional lines of dialogue. In any case, he’ll mention that he needs to head to his shift at Honeydukes, but he’s so fascinated by the musical instruments that he just can’t pull himself away.

You’ll suggest that he take a quick look at the items you and Barnaby collected and give his opinion on how well they fit the beach theme.

However, when Lenny goes to inspect the shell, a large Mackled Malaclaw will suddenly pop out — and it won’t be happy. The creature quickly becomes aggressive.

To Wrangle the Malaclaw, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to Lenny and the malaclaw. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

Luckily, you’ll manage to handle the Malaclaw, and it will back away from Lenny. Still, you can’t help but wonder how it ended up there in the first place. Barnaby will admit that he brought it, thinking it fit the beach theme, and planned to return it after the final day.

At that moment, Maestro will appear and demand to know what’s going on in his shop. There are two options to choose from. If you like Barnaby, it is recommended to pick the second option.

Still, Maestro will thank you for the items you brought and remind you to keep in mind that a special reward awaits if you choose to help him on the final day. You’ll then decide it’s time to head over to Honeydukes.
