Saving Zonko’s Part 3

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Saving Zonko’s Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you read a negative review of Rita Skeeter about Zonko’s shop.

While you were investigating Hogwarts records to find out more about Rita’s and Bilton’s past, you encountered Merula hiding behind the bookshelf. She was hiding because her face was full of boils. You learned that she was the missing loyal customer of Zonko’s.

Before returning with Merula to Zonko’s you healed her boils with the help of Professor Snape. The Professor remembered that Bilton’s humor was always beloved.

When you went back to Zonko’s with Merula, you tried, together with Tonks, Tulip, and Merula, to lift Bilton’s spirits, but to no avail. You then decided to solve all of his problems.

You know that Andre is supposedly not laughing at any of Bilton’s jokes anymore. You decided to visit him, to find out more.

Go to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready to meet Andre.

Once you are there you will find a lonely Andre sitting near the fountain. You will start a chat with him, but you will notice that he is very upset.

You won’t give up until you find out what bothers him. To check in with Andre, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass for Year 4-5 students. All five stars are required to complete this task for Year 6+ students.

Bonus progress action is tied to your character. Prioritize this action to save some energy.

Apparently, Andre is sad because his favorite Quidditch team Pride of Portree is changing their team colors, from purple with a gold star to orange with a green star.

He is also worried about his grandmother who, together with him, collected Pride of Portree memorabilia for many years. And if the team changes colors, she’ll need to replace her entire collection.

To make things worse, Andre thinks that green on orange is a very bad combination, and it doesn’t even make sense for the stars to be green.

You’ll ask Andre how he found out about this news. He’ll say it’s just a rumor. He will ask what you think about the Pride of Portree’s new colors of orange and green. This choice won’t have a significant impact on the rest of the story, so feel free to choose an option you like. However, if you like Andre, it is recommended to avoid selecting the third option.

You will try to reassure Andre that this is just a rumor, but you won’t succeed. During your conversation, Andre will find out that Bilton is closing his shop, and he will be shocked to hear that. He thought everyone loved Zonko’s.

You’ll explain that he can prevent that from happening if he laughs at some of Bilton’s jokes, but that won’t be possible because of Andre’s sadness.

You’ll decide to ask someone who has more reliable information to check if this rumor about the Pride of Portree team color is true. If it’s not true, Andre will feel way better.

Go to the Training Grounds when you are ready to continue.

You will meet Madam Hooch, but unfortunately, she will not have time to talk with you. She’ll be busy with brooms. They have to be cleaned, polished, and repaired before her next Flying lesson.

You’ll offer to help her. This way she’ll have time to answer your question.

To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress action is tied to the broom in front of your character. Prioritize this action to save some energy.

Madam Hooch will praise you and Andre for assisting her and she will allow Andre to ask her a question.

Luckily for Andre, the rumor is not true. It was cooked up by Gregory Cotton, Seeker for the Appleby Arrows because he has a grudge since Pride of Portree Seeker Dougal McBride threatened to turn his head into a cabbage.

Andre will feel a colossal relief.

You will ask Madam Hooch if rumors are common in professional Quidditch. She’ll say that they are. She will call that “mind games” and she’ll explain that mind games are a natural extension of the sport when played at the highest level.

You have three options to respond to this. This choice won’t have a significant impact on the story, but it is not recommended to choose the third option since Madam Hooch won’t like that.

You’ll use this moment to ask Madam Hooch about Bilton’s days at Hogwarts. She will tell you that she was a First-Year when Bilton was in his third attempt at being a Seventh-Year.

At that time, Hogwarts was a much stricter school back then, and punishments for students were severe.

To his fellow students, Bilton was a protector, shielding them from faculty overreach with his gift for mayhem. He even saved Madam Hooch from detention once.

In a way, his antics brought a sort of balance to Hogwarts that hadn’t been there before. He gave power to the students they had previously lacked.

You will be amazed by this story and after the chat, you’ll decide to hurry to the Zonko’s with Andre. It will be a better chance to motivate Bilton now that Andre is in a good mood.

Once you are there, you can check what your friends have to say by tapping on the speech bubbles above their heads.

Andre will greet Bilton and he’ll try to give him a compliment but it won’t feel very natural and Bilton will just thank him for his kindness.

Andre won’t be able to laugh on command, especially when the stakes are so high. You’ll get an idea to warm up Andre with jokes so he can be in a better mood to laugh. You will call Tonks, Tulip, and Merula to help.

To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to complete this task. It is recommended to start this task only with a full energy bar.

There is only one bonus progress action tied to Andre. Prioritizing this action can save you a bit of energy.

Finally, Andre will be in a good laughing mood, but Bilton’s mind will be blank. He won’t be able to remember any jokes.

You’ll suggest using one of his joke items from the shop. Bilton will let you pick which one.

Depending on which item you choose, you will get a different scene and joke, but the outcome will be the same. Feel free to pick the item you think will be the funniest for you.

Shortly after, Andre will burst into laughter.

Bilton will thank you and your friends because you showed that his products are still loved. He’ll feel better about his ability to share the joy of laughter with the world because of Andre.

But there is one more problem to be solved to save Zonko’s shop. After Rita’s negative review, the shop has been closed for so long. It will need a grand re-opening!

Bilton will decide to have a “Back in the Business” sale and you’ll need a lot of flyers to spread the word about the reopening.
