Slytherin Celebration Part 3

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Slytherin Celebration Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you discovered that you were lied to by a Hufflepuff student and that the Bloody Baron witnessed the dungeon mess, which was very suspicious.

You discovered that someone brewed Polyjuice Potion and that someone disguised as Barnaby. You and Draco need to catch the culprit before they can ruin the reputation of House Slytherin.

(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Hogwarts Beyond. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.)

Go to the Training Grounds to continue the story. You will find the fake Barnaby talking with Merula and Ismelda.

You will mention to your friends that Barnaby is not the real one. Your friends will have a hard time believing you.

You will explain that Polyjuice Potion was used. Fake Barnaby will ask why they should believe you, maybe you are the fake one. Merula will decide to check you with one question. She will ask you where you first met her. The correct answer is “Dungeons”. If you pick the wrong answer, the story won’t change significantly.

You will try to convince your friends by explaining everything you and Draco found out so far. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to complete this task. It is recommended to start this task when your energy bar is full.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Merula, fake Barnaby, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You and Draco will pressure fake Barnaby. He will defend by saying that you have no proof, but shortly after, the effect of Polyjuice Potion will wear off.

That was your plan all along.

You will ask the guilty Gryffindor student why she did all of that. She said because she’s a Gryffindor and Gryffindors help their friends. All they wanted was to go to Hogsmeade, but her friends couldn’t get permission from their parents.

The plan was to pretend to be students with permission to visit Hogsmeade. One dose of Polyjuice Potion wasn’t enough so she and her friends tried to brew more, but they accidentally added some extra ingredients.

Her Hufflepuff friend distracted you with a false lead so they can start another Polyjuice Potion. Her Ravenclaw waited to see whether you talked to the Bloody Baron.

Her Ravenclaw friend was also the one who found the “Moste Potente Potions” in the Restricted Section of the Library. If he’d read the instructions for making Polyjuice Potion more carefully, they might have gotten away with everything.

You then guessed that they found Barnaby’s potions textbook and they decided to pin the mess on him. Using one dose of Polyjuice Potion, they were going to take his form and confess.

She already added Barnaby’s hair and drank one vial of Polyjuice Potion when Barnaby found her. Draco will comment on the situation.

You will remind her that she wanted to falsely blame Barnaby and Slytherin, but if she knew him at all, she’d realize that Slytherins like Barnaby are just as kind as anyone at Hogwarts. She will admit that she and her friends were wrong about House Slytherin and everything.

The following lines of dialogue will differ based on your House.

You will say that you understand why they did what they did but they need to come clean about the dungeon mess. Draco will remind her that they broke all sorts of school rules as well and that they may get expelled.

You can choose how to deal with this situation. This choice will influence some dialogue later, but it won’t change the overall story, so pick an option that is most fitting for your character.

Draco will remind you that you and him should go back to his father soon.

Go to the Great Hall to continue the story. Once there, you can check what some of the students have to say by tapping the speech bubbles above their heads. You will meet Lucius Malfoy.

You will apologize to Draco because the dungeon mess mystery got in the way of his Hogwarts visit, but actually, he enjoyed it.

You will ask him if he decided where he wants to go to school. He will still be unsure. Lucius will assure you that Draco will make the right decision in the end.

Draco will ask for your opinion. This choice will not impact the overall story, so feel free to choose the option you like.

Draco will start saying what he decided, but he’ll notice that Professor Snape is about to start his speech. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Professor Snape and Draco. Prioritize actions tied to them to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available options.

Professor Snape will announce that there is someone who deserves special thanks for uncovering the truth and clearing Slytherin’s name.

Draco will admit that everyone cheering for him influenced his decision, but he’ll explain that’s not the real reason.

Some of the dialogue from Lucius may differ based on your previous choice.

Shortly after, Lucius and Draco will leave the Great Hall. Professor Snape will approach you.

He will admit that you achieved an acceptable outcome. Slytherin was cleared of wrongdoing. He will mention that the real perpetrators are in Dumbledore’s office and they confessed what they did. It seems to him that they won’t get expelled. The dialogue may differ based on your choice in the previous task.

Professor Snape will be pleased that a member of a respected wizarding family has decided to attend Hogwarts.

The Professor will admit that you succeeded in your task because you understood the Slytherin’s strengths. He will explain that you demonstrated leadership in handling the investigation and you would not have found the truth without ambition, resourcefulness, cunning, and presence of mind. You will mention that your friends helped too.

Because you did a great service to the House Slytherin, Professor Snape decided to award you the Slytherin Medal of Excellence.

This will conclude the end of Part 3 of the Slytherin Celebration Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 500 Experience Points, 2 Gems, and 2 Chocolate Frogs.

You’ll earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

You’ll also get a bonus reward, which is the Slytherin Medal in your apartment.
