(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 6 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.)
Proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready. Once you arrive, you will notice that the place is quite crowded. Penny and Face Paint Kid will happily greet you.
However, they won’t be the only ones to greet you. Rita Skeeter will also be interested to talk to you. The following lines of dialogue will differ, based on whether you completed the Quest for the Quidditch Cup adventure.
Apparently, Rita wants to write an article on Skye and her relationship with her father, but Skye will simply say she’s not interested. Rita will try to get at least a few words out of Skye, who will think for a bit before replying.
Rita will turn her attention to you, and she’ll ask you a question about Ethan Parkin and his involvement in your team’s practice. There are three options to respond with. While these won’t have any significant influence on the outcome of the story, picking the third option will result in some rather funny lines of dialogue.
Skye will then kindly tell Rita to bug off.
Once she leaves, you will finally get to enjoy the party. This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are bonus progress actions linked to Skye, a cheerful student, and a student standing next to Murphy. Prioritize these if you want to save some energy.
Skye will tell you she’s actually looking forward to the upcoming match, which you’ll find odd since she is probably the biggest Quidditch aficionado you know. She’ll explain it to you and admit that the huge weight was recently lifted off her chest.
In other words, she will thank you for everything you’ve done for her and you will use the opportunity to tease her a bit.
Moments later, Ethan will arrive to inform you that the match is starting soon. If you promised Penny to introduce her to Ethan, you will keep your promise. Otherwise, she will suddenly rush to meet him.
She will introduce herself as his number one fan.
Ethan will ask if she wants his autograph.
Penny will be delighted to hear that.
Soon enough, Skye and you will head to the Quidditch Changing Room to prepare for the match. Go there when you are ready. Once you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of your teammates and check out what they have to say. Orion will gather everyone to say a few words before the match starts.
He will mention the results of the previous Quidditch season.
Skye will say she’s got her own reason for wanting to win the Quidditch Cup.
You’ll ask her about it.
This time, she simply feels like winning.
Orion will also comment on that.
Soon enough, you will be in for another moment of vivification.
This time, you will use it to contemplate the true nature of balance. To do that, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you should avoid starting this task if your energy bar is empty.
There are bonus progress actions linked to Murphy and Orion. Prioritize these if you want to save some energy.
Orion will ask how you feel after this moment of vivification. There are three options to choose from. These won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.
Your team captain will be quite optimistic about the upcoming match. Moments later, Ethan will arrive to notify you that the match is about to start. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
Murphy will excitedly announce the final match of the season.
He will say a few words about the historical match that took place twenty years ago.
You will notice Ethan Parkin sitting in the Commentary Box along with the Professors.
Murphy will then announce your opponents.
Shortly after, they will fly onto the Pitch.
Moments later, McNully will announce your team.
You and your teammates will arrive at the Pitch, ready for the final match.
This match is not too different than most of the friendly matches you’ve played so far. There are a few things to keep in mind. Some of the maneuvers are time-limited, while others are not. For each and every maneuver that is not time-limited, you should take as much time as you need to correctly execute it. Don’t rush, simply take your time, and you won’t have any problems.
As for the time-limited maneuvers, you will generally have enough time to execute them properly. Don’t rush it, but make sure you complete the maneuver before the timer expires.
Also, if you completed Rivalry, Respect, and Rath adventure, you will be tasked with performing the Dopplebeater Defense maneuver. If you execute it correctly, you will notice Erika cheering for you from the stands.
The most difficult maneuvers will be the ones that are time-limited and have a specific sequence. For those, prioritize getting the sequence right. Don’t worry too much if you miss one of the circles. As long as you can get the sequence right, and hit most of the circles, you will be able to execute the maneuver successfully.
Lastly, you will get to execute the Power Play maneuver.
Should you manage to perform this maneuver successfully, Skye will score, and her father will proudly look at her from the Commentary Box.
You will receive the rewards for completing the match.
Soon enough, your Seeker will catch the Golden Snitch.
Murphy will announce the final score.
Your friend won’t be able to hide his excitement.
You will notice your Head of House looking extremely proud.
Your entire team will cheerfully celebrate this victory.
Moments later, the fans will burst onto the pitch.
Penny will be the first one to congratulate you on your victory.
Face Paint Kid will also approach you, looking extremely excited.
He will ask you about the maneuver you performed at the end of the match.
You will smile and tell him it’s Ethan Parkin’s mystery maneuver.
You’ll then turn to Skye and ask how it feels to win a Quidditch Cup.
She will tease you for a moment before giving you the answer.
What follows is a lot of cheering and celebrating.
This will mark the end of Part 2 of The Second Quidditch Cup adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. 5 Gems, 30 House Points and 3 Chocolate Frogs.
This will unlock the Power Play maneuver.
You will also receive the trophy for winning the Quidditch Cup.
Now, that was a match worth remembering. You managed to win the Quidditch Cup and make your house proud. Also, you finally mended your friendship with Skye.
Thank you for reading and see you soon with more exciting chapters and adventures!
