Walkthrough
When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of your friends and see what they have to say. You will join Penny at the table and ask her about the announcement. She’ll say she knows that the announcement is about something special, but she won’t know the details.
As for Jae, he will hope it has nothing to do with detention.
Moments later, Professor Dumbledore will ask for everyone’s attention. He will quickly get to the point and announce a special Valentine’s Day Ball.
Needless to say, most of the students will be very excited to hear that.
Both Penny and Jae will look forward to this upcoming Valentine’s Day Ball.
You will say you’re hoping you can take your crush on a date. Professor Dumbledore will say that he assigned Madam Pince to be in charge of organizing the ball.
This is definitely something you weren’t expecting. Madam Pince will say that she wants to be very serious about organizing everything.
Penny will be hopeful that Madam Pince has something fun planned for the ball. Shortly after, you’ll get to hear the details about the ball. This requires earning five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.
The only bonus progress action here is linked to your character. Focus on your own actions if you want to save a bit of energy.
You will notice that some of your friends don’t look very excited after hearing what Madam Pince has planned for the ball.
As it seems, she is way too serious about everything, which might take away the fun.
Penny will still be positive about it and remind you that there are many great things about the ball to look forward to.
She will be curious to know what you are looking forward to about the ball. There are three options to choose from. Other than some minor dialogue differences, this choice won’t have any major impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.
Both Penny and Jae will be interested in taking someone to the dance and having a great time. Unfortunately, with Madam Pince in charge, things might not play out in the way you expect. Because of that, you will decide to save the Hogwarts Valentine’s Day Ball and make it fun and memorable for everyone.
Shortly after, you will need to attend Herbology Class, so go there when you are ready. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your classmates. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say. As it seems, the rumors about your plan are spreading around Hogwarts.
You will tell Tonks you are quite determined to make the ball fun and memorable for everyone. She will be curious if you already have a date because you sound especially motivated to save the dance.
If you completed some of the previous dating adventures, you will get some extra lines of dialogue.
You’ll smile and say that no one has asked you on a date yet. Tonks will ask you an interesting question about dating. There are three options to choose from. Simply be honest with her and select the option you prefer since this choice won’t have any major impact on the story.
Still, the most important thing would definitely be convincing Madam Pince to change her ideas for the ball. If you can’t do this, nothing else will matter.
Unfortunately, you won’t be sure how to persuade her. Tonks will suggest finding an excuse to talk to her about the ball. Shortly after, Professor Sprout will ask for everyone’s attention.
She will say that she’d like all of you to help her grow some lovely flowers to serve as decorations for the upcoming event.
To do that, you’ll have to use Herbivicus Charm. If you’ve completed Valentine’s Day at Hogwarts adventure, you’ll be familiar with this one.
Growing flowers requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why it’s not recommended to start this task if your energy is low.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There is a bonus progress action linked to Professor Sprout, so prioritize her actions if you want to save a bit of energy.
Once you’re done, you will be tasked with casting Herbivicus Charm. Trace the wand movement to do so.
The spell will work as intended, and plenty of beautiful roses will magically grow from the pots.
Professor Sprout will be pleased with the results and happily praise you.
She will suggest getting the flowers ready since Madam Pince is probably eager to fill the room with them. Tonks will chuckle and say that she isn’t sure Madam Pince is looking forward to it. Professor Sprout will remind her that roses are excellent for setting up a romantic mood.
This will give you an interesting idea. You will ask the Professor if you can take a bouquet of flowers to Madam Pince for approval. She will like the idea, which will give you a good opportunity to discuss the ball with Madam Pince. If that goes well, you will be choosing your Valentine’s Day Ball date in no time.
Shortly after, you will decide to head to the Library and confront Madam Pince. Proceed there when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of your friends and see what they have to say to you.
You’ll approach the Librarian and inform her about the flowers. She will interrupt you mid-sentence and remind you that you’re in the Library.
She will also say that plants in the library are not allowed, which is why she’ll ask you to leave immediately. You’ll quickly tell her about Professor Sprout’s idea to decorate the Great Hall with flowers.
She will be surprised to hear that and say that flowers are a synonym for being alone.
You will find her logic odd, to say the least. Unfortunately, she won’t offer an explanation to you. You will then tell her that there are some students who are concerned about the ball.
This will grab Madam Pince’s attention. You will politely tell her that students have a different vision in mind for Valentine’s Day Ball. Thankfully, she will be willing to hear you out and learn more about what the students want.
This requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so it’s not recommended to start this task if your energy bar is empty.
The only bonus progress action here is tied to your character, so focusing on your actions should save you some energy.
Madam Pince will sum things up once you’re done explaining.
She will ask if there’s anything else you can think of. There are two options to choose from. If you like Butterbeer, be sure to pick the first one.
You will find her summary very accurate, and say that it perfectly represents what the students want. Unfortunately, Madam Pince’s vision of the ball will be vastly different. According to her, there will be no floral arrangements, no sugar refreshments, and the only sounds she wants to hear that evening are a lonely classical fortepiano.
You will find her plans for the ball immensely sad.
Madam Pince will simply say that she doesn’t want to force storybook romance on herself or anyone else. You will try to complain about it, but unfortunately, she won’t be willing to listen. She will, however, tell you to take up your concerns to the Headmaster if you don’t like her ideas.
After considering things, you will decide to visit Professor Dumbledore and see if there’s anything he can do to help.
Proceed to the Headmaster’s office when you are ready. You will thank Professor Dumbledore for taking the time to see you. You’ll say that you want to talk to him about Madam Pince and Valentine’s Day Ball. He’ll assume that you and your friends are excited about the event.
You will nod and say that everyone is incredibly excited about spending time connecting with friends and about the prospect of choosing who to take to the Ball. Sadly, Madam Pince’s plans for the event are very different from what the students are expecting.
As it seems, other students have also told the Headmaster that Madam Pince can be quite stubborn.
Unfortunately, unless she changes her plans for the ball, not many students will find it so fun and memorable.
Professor Dumbledore will be interested to hear more about Madam Pince’s plans for Valentine’s Day Ball. Expressing your concerns requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is not recommended to start this task if your energy is low.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions linked to your character and the portraits. Focus on those if you want to save as much energy as possible.
You will sum everything up in one sentence.
Professor Dumbledore will think for a bit and suggest finding a compromise that would make everyone happy.
You will also tell him about what Madam Pince said earlier.
Unfortunately, you’ll be quite confused about her words, which will make it difficult to reason with her. The Headmaster will say that the Librarian shared more with you than you’re aware of. He will advise you to use your heart to find the answers you seek.
You will thank him for the advice and decide to give it another try. Professor Dumbledore will notice that you care a lot about the Valentine’s Day Ball, and he’ll be curious to know why. There are three options to choose from. Other than some minor dialogue differences, this choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to choose the option you prefer.
The Headmaster will say he’s happy knowing that you care so much about the ball.
Once again, he will advise you to listen with your heart in order to find the answers you seek. You will thank him for being kind enough to share his wisdom with you. You’ll decide to ask your friends for help, starting with Penny Haywood.
This will conclude Part 1 of Valentine’s Day Ball adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 300 Coins.
Will you and your friends be able to find a way to convince Madam Pince to change her plans for Valentine’s Day Ball? Find out in the next part of this lovely adventure.
