Welcome to the Slug Club Part 4

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for Welcome to the Slug Club Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, Penny told you she found a list of the Slug Club members. You learned that the owner of Honeydukes, Ambrosius Flume, was one of the members, so you went to visit him.

You helped him catch a thief who tried to steal a box of Pepper Imps from the shop. In return, Mr. Flume told you that you can find Slughorn in Bathilda Bagshot’s home in Godric’s Hollow. You went there and luckily, you found Slughorn. You had a talk with him, and he was impressed by some of the things you achieved. So impressed, that he invited you and Andre to a Slub Club dinner.

Unfortunately, Lucius Malfoy refused to attend the dinner, so Slughorn asked you to have a word with him and convince him to change his mind. Go to the Leaky Cauldron when you are ready.

When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

Lucius won’t be too happy to see you. You’ll ask him to reconsider his decision and attend the Slug Club dinner. Sadly, Malfoy won’t seem willing to change his mind.

You’ll ask if you can do anything to convince him. He’ll smile and say there are plenty of things that could be done. Still, he’ll be doubtful that you’d be willing to do them.

However, you won’t be willing to give up easily, so Malfoy will decide to tell you his reasoning.

Learning what Lucius wants is your next task. You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete it. Three stars are required to pass.

Make sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There is an action with bonus progress tied to your character. Prioritizing it should save you a bit of energy.

You’ll learn that Lucius refused to attend the dinner because Slughorn invited you and Andre. You will also learn that he intentionally tricked you to make it harder for you to locate Slughorn.

One of the following lines will differ, depending on whether or not you gave Lucius a benefit of the doubt earlier.

Malfoy will calmly say that he only wants what’s best for the Slug Club. Apparently, he thinks that having you and Andre in the Slug Club will drag its reputation down, as well as his own.

You will then get to choose what to do next. You can either tell Lucius off or stay focused on the dinner. This is an IMPORTANT choice.

If you choose to tell him off, Lucius won’t be attending the Slug Club dinner, and Slughorn will be disappointed to hear that. However, if you decide to stay focused on the dinner, you will manage to convince Lucius to change his mind and accept Slughorn’s invitation.

In any case, you will decide to convince the remaining holdouts to attend the dinner. Go to the Potions classroom when you are ready to continue.

By the looks of it, Professor Snape was the second person who didn’t accept Slughorn’s invitation. He’ll immediately assume that you came to convince him to change his mind.

The choice you made while talking to him during Part 2 of the adventure will take effect here.

Snape will tell you that you left quite an impression on Slughorn. He’ll admit he was surprised when he received an invitation to a Slug Club dinner in your honor, so he asked to see you immediately.

Snape will also tell you that the Slug Club members are some of the most powerful witches and wizards in the Wizarding World. He’ll be unsure if you have what it takes to be a member, so you will have to prove yourself to him.

First, he will ask you a potion-related question. There are three options to choose from. The correct answer is ‘A Shrinking Solution’.

Snape will then decide to put your knowledge to the test. He will ask you to brew a Shrinking Solution from memory. If you are successful, he’ll consider attending the Slug Club dinner.

You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete this task. All five stars are required to pass.

There are actions with bonus progress linked to your character and the ingredients. Focus on those actions to save energy.

When you are done, Professor Snape will check the Shrinking Solution you brewed. Luckily, he’ll be satisfied with your work. You will ask if that means he’ll come to the dinner.

Snape will nod and say that he’ll make an appearance. All that’s left now is to get Andre and prepare for a Slug Club dinner.

Go to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready to meet with your friend.

You’ll greet Andre and tell him you spoke with Malfoy and Snape. The choice you made while talking to Lucius will take effect here. If you convinced him to attend the dinner, Andre will congratulate you on a job well done. If you only convinced Snape to come, Andre won’t be as happy.

You will tell your friend to get ready for dinner. Andre will say that he wanted to talk to you about something. He’ll thank you for everything you’ve done to make the Slug Club dinner happen. If you and Andre are dating, you’ll get an additional line of dialogue here.

Andre will say that he wanted to do something to repay your kindness. He’ll tell you he made an outfit just for you. Before you try it on, he’ll decide to tell you about it.

You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this task. All five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Andre and the folding screen. Prioritize them to save energy.

When you are done, you’ll try on the outfit. Without a doubt, the style wizard did amazing work once again. He’ll be sure that you are going to impress every Slug Club member during the dinner.

You’ll thank Andre from the bottom of your heart for making such a lovely outfit. He will smile and say that he’s glad you like it.

Moments later, you and Andre will leave the classroom and go to the Three Broomsticks.

Once you arrive, Andre will say that he can hardly believe his eyes. You will spot some familiar faces there, including Gwenog Jones, Ambrosius Flume, Severus Snape, and Lucius Malfoy (if you convinced him to attend the dinner).

Also, the marvelous decorations will make the whole place look spectacular. You’ll praise Andre for decorating the place.

Shortly after, Slughorn will approach you and say that your outfit looks completely fabulous. He will be pleasantly surprised once you tell him it was Andre who made the outfit for you.

Slughorn will praise you for making a good impression on Professor Snape. The following lines of dialogue will differ, depending on whether or not you convinced Lucius to attend the dinner.

If you didn’t convince Malfoy to show up, Slughorn will be slightly disappointed, but he won’t blame you. If Lucius agreed to come to the dinner, Slughorn will thank you for that.

Slughorn will then ask you to join the others and enjoy the party. You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this task. All five stars are required to pass.

This task is divided into two sections. The first section lasts until you fill one-half of the total star meter. During it, you will be able to interact with the members of the Slug Club.

You can find the bonus progress action tied to Ambrosius Flume.

During the second part of this task, everyone will sit at the table and enjoy dinner while talking to each other. There are actions with bonus progress linked to Andre and Gwenog.

Once you are done, Slughorn will approach you and Andre and formally invite you to join the Slug Club. Your friend will be incredibly happy about it. The choice you made while talking to him about it will take effect here.

Andre will accept Slughorn’s invitation without hesitating. You will then get to decide whether or not you want to join the Slug Club.

This is an IMPORTANT choice. It will affect some aspects of the story in the future, so bear that in mind when making this decision.

Slughorn will also say that he has a present for you. He will give you a necklace modeled after the hourglass he used during your first meeting.

He’ll tell you that he saw his sand move more slowly. You’ll thank him for the thoughtful gift.

Shortly after, Part 4 of Welcome to the Slug Club adventure will end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 1000 Experience Points, 5 Gems, and 3 Chocolate Frogs.

You will earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

The outfit Andre made for you and the necklace you received from Slughorn will permanently be unlocked in your wardrobe.

That was a rather interesting adventure. You had the opportunity to meet Horace Slughorn and the members of his exquisite Slug Club, and you even got invited to join them. On top of that, you helped Andre realize one of his dreams, and he is undoubtedly very thankful for that.
