Winter With the Weasleys Part 1

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Winter with Weasley Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. While discussing your Christmas arrangements with your friends, you learn that Bill will be celebrating the holiday at The Burrow alone for the first time in his life. This calls for a plan to brighten his spirits! Together with Charlie, Hagrid, Penny, and Professor Flitwick, you embark on a mission to create the ultimate Christmas surprise for Bill. Will you be able to spread the holiday magic and make his Christmas unforgettable?

Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready to discuss Christmas. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll see your friend discussing Christmas. You’ll notice that they are very excited about the holiday.

You’ll suggest talking about their plans before your class begins. To share a Christmas plan, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Merula and Ben. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll find out that Penny plans to brew the best-ever hot chocolate, while Ben writes letters to the patients at St. Mungo’s. Charlie, on the other hand, is determined to cheer up his big brother Bill! After that, he’ll probably spend some time studying about dragons.

Charlie will mention that his parents wrote to him saying they might not make it back in time for Christmas dinner due to a bit of travel trouble. He’ll add that, although he wanted to stay at Hogwarts to study dragons, he had to stay with Bill to look after the house. Percy has to remain at Hogwarts to watch over the Gryffindor common room, while Fred and George are staying behind to give him trouble.

After a brief conversation, you’ll come up with the idea that Bill could spend Christmas with his friends. Charlie will then ask how good you are at cheering up your own friends. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You’ll agree to take some time to think about how to make Bill feel special and not overlooked on Christmas Eve. 

Go to the Great Hall to meet Charlie. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll notice that Charlie doesn’t have much of an idea for creating a good Christmas evening—his thoughts seem to revolve around dragons. Seeing this, you’ll suggest brainstorming ideas together for the perfect Christmas celebration.

To brainstorm with Charlie, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass.

You’ll come up with the idea to get some of Penny’s best-ever hot chocolate and decorate The Burrow with festive touches. You’ll all be able to spend Christmas together, making it extra special. Charlie will add that Bill will probably be chuffed, and he can’t wait to get started. Following that, he’ll ask you which part of the plan you think Bill will enjoy the most.

These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Charlie will then comment that it’s a brilliant plan, but it’s a shame that it will only be him, Bill, and you. However, this will give you the idea to maybe invite one or two of Bill’s friends, to which Charlie will agree.

Proceed to the Potions Classroom when you are ready. When you arrive, you will ask Penny how the hot chocolate is coming along. She will say that it’s going slower than she expected, but she will manage. Following that, you will add that you and Charlie have planned to spend Christmas Eve with Bill and that you wanted to talk to her about the hot chocolate. 

She will say that she’s having trouble because brewing the best-ever batch of hot chocolate isn’t as easy as it sounds, especially with so many options. You will then offer to help her. She will ask you which of these flavors you prefer.

There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Following that, she will then ask you which of these flavors is the best finishing note. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

These lines will differ based on your previous choice. 

You will then suggest brewing a quick simple batch to see what it tastes like, which she will agree to.

To brew the hot chocolate, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Penny. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You will successfully make the hot chocolate, and when you try it, it will be incredibly delicious.

The problem will be that the hot chocolate is quite grey, but you can use a Color Change Charm to improve it. You will both agree that colors like green and red would be ideal for the festive touch.

You’ll realize that Colovaria is technically a Transfiguration lesson, so you’ll decide to visit Professor McGonagall for help. However, Penny will inform you that she isn’t around. In that case, you’ll decide to go to Professor Flitwick, as you’re confident he can help you with the charm.

Go to the Great Hall to talk with Professor Flitwick. You’ll wish Professor Flitwick a Merry Christmas, but you’ll notice that he seems sad. When you ask him what’s wrong, he’ll tell you that it’s nothing and that he just has a lot of work to do.

You’ll tell Professor Flitwick that you and Charlie have planned to spend time with Bill, adding that Bill will be alone at The Burrow, so you’re going to decorate his home and join him for a Christmas meal. Then, you’ll explain that you wanted to talk to him because you and Penny have created the perfect hot chocolate for the holidays, but it’s too gray, and you’d like to change its color to green and red.

He’ll then say that he needs to finish with the decorations, so perhaps you can do it together while he thinks, and he’ll ask what you think about that. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

This line will differ based on your previous choice.

To decorate the tree, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Professor Flitwick. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Once you’re finished, the Hogwarts Christmas tree will be complete.

Following that, he will mention that he needs to do some research on the spell’s variations to ensure it works perfectly. In the meantime, you’ll decide to visit Hagrid to find a Christmas tree for the Burrow.
