Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Professor McGonagall will greet you warmly and thank you for coming.

She will explain that she has called you to request your assistance with a very important mission: helping a new generation of magical children prepare for their first year of school.

Professor McGonagall will explain that she wants you to help the new students gather their supplies for school, noting that some of them will need more assistance and guidance, while others might manage with less help.

Professor McGonagall will further explain that as a Hogwarts student guide, you will be responsible for three children and will need to prepare them for school. Because of this, she must teach you a few important things first. To complete orientation, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Ben, Professor McGonagall, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

Professor McGonagall will add that as a Hogwarts student guide, you have many crucial responsibilities when it comes to assisting incoming students. First, you will introduce yourself and recite the Hogwarts welcome speech she has prepared for you. Then, you will guide the students through Diagon Alley to purchase their books, robes, and other school supplies.

She will also inform you that you and your charges will need to establish an emergency meeting place in case one of you gets lost. When your duties are completed, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that your charges make it to Platform 9 3/4 in time to board the Hogwarts Express.

Professor McGonagall will add that leaving home for the first time will be a significant challenge for any child, but this experience will also be a test for you. She’ll emphasize that being a Hogwarts student guide requires not just knowledge, but also resourcefulness, kindness, and determination. This line will differ based on which house you belong to.

She will then want to ensure you are paying attention and will ask at what location your three charges will be waiting to meet you tomorrow. The correct answer is “King’s Cross Station”.

Following that, you’ll ask her how you will recognize the students you’re supposed to guide. She will explain that she has prepared dossiers for every new student under your care and advise you to study them closely.
She’ll add that you must do all you can to accommodate each child’s unique needs in this pivotal moment of their young lives. After wishing you luck, you’ll decide to head to Hogsmeade Station, as the train is about to arrive.

Go to the Hogsmeade Train station to board the Hogwarts Express. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll greet Ben, and he’ll remark that he can hardly believe how long it’s been since you were first years together. He’ll add that now here you are, official Hogwarts student guides.

Ben’s reaction will differ based on which year you attend.

You’ll agree that it’s especially challenging for new students who don’t have magical relatives to prepare for Hogwarts and that they have no idea what to expect. Because of this, you want to be as helpful as possible and be the best Hogwarts guide you can be.
Ben will then suggest that you review the information Professor McGonagall provided about the students, so you can get to know them better.

To study student info, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Ben and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

Shortly after, you’ll comment that the Hogwarts Express is almost ready to board and that you suppose that’s enough studying for now. However, Ben will want to see if you remember anything about the new students who’ll be under your care, and he’ll ask which of the three children knows nothing of the magical world. The correct answer is “Juniper Hunt”.

Next, you’ll ask about the second student, inquiring which new student has a mum who’s at St Mungo’s due to a venomous bite. The correct answer is “Rhys Maybury”.

Ben will then ask you one final question, and you’ll immediately know which student it pertains to.

You’ll mention that you noticed Professor McGonagall seems particularly concerned about his fitting in at Hogwarts. Ben will acknowledge this, noting that it’s understandable since both his parents died in the Wizarding War, fighting for the wrong side.

At that moment, the train will be ready to depart. You’ll wish Ben good luck with meeting his students and then board the train yourself.

Proceed to the King’s Cross Station when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll see the three students you’re responsible for.

Rhys will introduce himself and mention that he has a question for you. He’ll add that another person came by earlier and gave a boring speech about welcoming them to Hogwarts.

Rhys will ask if they’re going to have to hear the same speech again, and you’ll suggest that you could apply a unique tone to it if that would help. Rhys will respond that it might give them a better idea of who they’re dealing with and will ask what sort of tone you plan to apply to your speech. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

You’ll explain that as their student guide, it’s your job to ensure they get all the school supplies they need for their first year. You’ll add that you expect them to be on their best behavior and that you want them to enjoy their time in Diagon Alley. Also, you’ll inform them that if they get lost, they should come right back to this spot so you can find them again.

You’ll suggest that since you’ll be spending the day together, it would be a good idea to learn more about each other before continuing. You’ll offer to share something about yourself first, and then invite them to do the same.
You’ll then have the opportunity to choose what to share about yourself. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Shortly after, it will be their turn to share something about themselves. To make introductions, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Juniper. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You will learn that Rhys has a pet Puffskein named Floofy and that Juniper’s dad is a mechanic. However, Virgil will be less enthusiastic about sharing and will interrupt the conversation.

Virgil will show some irritation, and Rhys will mention that everyone is nervous and that she’s hungry since they skipped breakfast. You’ll suggest heading to the Leaky Cauldron for a nice meal.

Go to the Leaky Cauldron to continue the story. You’ll comment that now they can have a nice breakfast while going over everything they need to get in Diagon Alley today.

However, your conversation will be interrupted by Juniper, who will ask about the Puffskein on the table. She isn’t familiar with the creature, and it will capture her attention.

Virgil will say it’s a little monster that eats your bogies while you sleep, but Rhys will disagree, stating that Puffskeins are not monsters. Following that, Juniper will ask what you think about Puffskeins eating bogies. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You’ll say that they will have the chance to learn more about Puffskeins at Hogwarts, but first, they need to get the necessary school supplies. You’ll suggest going through the list from their Hogwarts acceptance letters and discussing what they need. To review the shopping list, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Virgil and Rhys. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll find out that Rhys already has a cauldron and wand, so she doesn’t need those. She’ll add that her mother bought them for her before she was bitten by a creature and had to go to St Mungo’s.

Following that, you’ll learn that Juniper doesn’t have any of her school supplies and will need everything: robes, books, and a wand. She’ll then ask what school supplies you think present the greatest challenge.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Virgil will mention that he only needs books and robes because his parents left him everything else. This will lead to an awkward situation when Rhys asks what happened to Virgil’s parents.

Rhys will notice that Floofy is missing and will become quite worried.
