Walkthrough
Proceed to the Open Ocean when you are ready. When you arrive, you’ll tell Hagrid that you got his owl and ask what’s wrong with your Hippocampus. He’ll explain that your Hippocampus seems upset. Hagrid has a theory about what’s going on, but he’ll want to hear your thoughts before sharing it.
To learn what happened, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Hagrid and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll learn that a new herd has settled just outside the reserve, and your creature tried to approach them, but it felt unsure and turned back, likely because it was worried about the kind of first impression it might make. Following that, Hagrid will ask what you think about first impressions.
There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

You’ll decide to help your Hippocampus build confidence and make the best possible first impression on the herd.
This line will differ based on your previous choice.

You’ll then decide to head to the library to learn everything you can about Hippocampus, so you can better help your creature.
Go to the Library to research the Hippocampus. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. There, you’ll find Barnaby, who’ll mention he’s doing some research—he was taking some fish to the Giant Squid the other day when he spotted a wicked group of Hippocamps, and now he wants to learn everything about them.
You’ll realize it’s the same herd your Hippocampus wants to impress, and you’ll suggest teaming up with Barnaby to research the Hippocamps together, since you’re both interested in the same thing.
To research Hippocamps, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass.

The bonus progress actions are tied to the books. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll realise that the best thing your Hippocampus could do to impress the herd is to perform a trick. Barnaby will then ask you, if you were a Hippocampus, what would your signature trick be?
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You’ll then invite Barnaby to join you in helping your Hippocampus, which he will gladly accept. Together, you’ll decide to head to the reserve to figure out which trick your creature should learn.
Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready. You’ll tell Hagrid that Barnaby wanted to meet your creature and is willing to help.
Then, you’ll explain your plan to teach your Hippocampus a trick to impress the herd. You’ll suggest trying out a few different tricks to see which one works best for your creature.
To start Training, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Ben, Professor McGonagall, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

Your creature will perform a partial twirl, which isn’t too bad for a first try. The question remains whether that will be enough to impress the herd. Hagrid will then ask what you plan to do if the herd rejects your Hippocampus.
There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Then you and Barnaby will ask Hagrid if the herd he saw was friendly or not. He’ll say he’s not sure, as they haven’t approached this area in a long time. You’ll realize that you need to observe the behavior of those Hippocampi more closely.

Go to the Lakeshore to observe the herd. When you arrive, Barnaby will ask if you’re worried the herd might be mean to your Hippocampus.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

In the distance, you’ll spot the herd and begin observing them closely. To observe the herd, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to your Hippocampus and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll realize that the herd is friendly, which will put you at ease. However, you’ll also notice that they perform much more complex tricks, meaning your Hippocampus will need a better trick to impress them. As you discuss this, you’ll spot a merwoman emerging from the lake. Watching her, you’ll understand that she shares a strong connection with the herd.

It would be great if the merwoman could teach your creature some tricks and help it, but first, you need to see if your Hippocampus is ready for training with her. You’ll decide to return to the reserve to check on it.
The story tasks in Part 1 are complete, but one wizarding task of your choice remains before you can progress to Part 2. Choose the task you want, earn 5 stars, and that will mark the end of Part 1. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 200 Coins.
The first part of your journey with the Hippocampus is coming to an end, but its story is far from over. As your creature grows more confident and learns new tricks, the bond between you strengthens, and with it, the promise of even greater adventures ahead.
Thank you for reading.
