Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough section for A Hippocampus Leap Part 2 of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery! Your magical journey began with a special Hippocampus in your care—one eager to prove itself to a nearby herd. With help from your loyal friend Barnaby and the ever-supportive Hagrid, you trained your creature to perform its very first trick. Though the attempt was only partially successful, it marked an important step forward.

You soon observed the herd from a distance, realizing they were friendly but highly skilled, setting a high bar for your Hippocampus to impress them. During your visit, you also encountered a mysterious merwoman with a strong connection to the herd. Inspired, you returned to the reserve, hoping your creature might be ready to train under her guidance.

Now, with one last magical task complete, you’re ready to continue your journey. What new challenges await in Part 2? It’s time to dive back in and help your Hippocampus rise to the occasion.

Walkthrough

Proceed to the Open Ocean when you are ready. When you return, you’ll notice that your Hippocampus is in a much better mood.

You’ll tell Hagrid that the herd is very friendly, and also mention that you saw a Merwoman feeding and playing with the Hippocampus. You’ll add that she was performing tricks with the herd, and that it would be great if she could teach your Hippocampus as well. 

However, when your Hippocampus hears this, it will start feeling nervous again. You’ll agree with Hagrid that it’s important to reassure your creature and give it a confidence boost.

To reassure your Hippocampus, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Hagrid. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

Then Hagrid will say that he’s very impressed with your skill when it comes to handling magical creatures. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Then you’ll decide to head to the shore and look for the Merwoman to ask if she’s willing to help you.

Go to the Lakeshore to continue the story. As you expected, the Merwoman will be there, and she’ll look excited when she sees your Hippocampus.

Your Hippocampus will turn to you, as if trying to ask you something. Hagrid will suggest that your creature is probably looking to you for guidance, wondering how you want it to respond to the Merwoman.

There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

In any case, you’ll decide to ask her for help in training your Hippocampus. However, as you and Hagrid try to explain the situation, you’ll get the sense that she doesn’t quite understand what you’re asking.

Then Hagrid will tell you that you’ll need to convince her a bit more. Whichever approach you choose, she will still agree to help you.

Shortly after, she’ll begin training your creature. To learn the trick, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Your hippocampus will manage to perform the trick partially, and with a bit more practice, it’s bound to master it successfully.

You’ll thank the merwoman and add that it’s time for your creature to get some rest now. You’ll return later to continue practicing with it.

You’ll need to wait three hours before you can continue. Head to Open Ocean once the waiting time is over. Once you arrive, you’ll immediately suggest starting the training right away.

To practise the trick, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Your hippocampus will finally perform the trick successfully! Hagrid will be thrilled and ask you what you’d like to name this magnificent move. Choose the name that speaks to you the most.

Now it’s time to head to the shore and let your hippocampus face the herd. Proceed to the Lakeshore when you are ready. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by Barnaby. You’ll thank him for coming to see your hippocampus perform. As you wait for the herd to approach, Hagrid will ask you to give your creature some advice.

There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after that, the herd will approach.

Your Hippocampus will successfully perform the trick and impress the herd.

Now that your Hippocampus has made some friends, they’ll visit regularly, and it will no longer feel lonely. Hagrid will be overjoyed—and so will you.

This will mark the end of A Hippocampus Leap Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 4 Gems, 2 Chocolate Frogs, and 200 Hagrid Friend Experience Points. You will also receive a Hippocampus sweater.
