A Mysterious Hallowe’en Party Part 2

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for A Mysterious Hallowe’en Party Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, something strange happened during Corey’s Party announcement, the lights went out, screams were heard, and shortly after everything returned to normal, you noticed the disappearance of your friend Penny. You started looking for your friend and now you need to prepare a plan to find her as soon as possible.

Go to the Flat to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive you’ll approach Corey.

You will tell her that you really wanted to talk about it and you’ll mention that she was just as shocked as you were when Penny disappeared. You’ll then ask if Penny’s disappearance wasn’t something she planned for her murder mystery game and she’ll reply that it wasn’t her idea.

After that, you will thank everyone who gathered and suggest that you should look at all facts before renewing your search.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start this task with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Talbott and Victor. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

After you’re done, you’ll conclude that the scream you all heard belonged to Corey. She will apologize for not telling you that earlier. There are two options to choose from. If you like Corey, it is recommended to pick the second option. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after, you’ll say that according to Talbott, you know that no one was acting strangely leading up to the lights going out.

He’ll mention that he recalls seeing you alone when you entered the party, just before you talked to Corey. He’ll also note that Jae mentioned that when the lights came back on, only Merula moved. You’ll ask Jae if he’s certain about this, and Talbott will add that he also noticed only Merula moving.

Corey will comment that it sounds suspicious to her and you’ll remind them once again that when Victor entered, the lights went out and someone bumped into him in the dark. This line will differ based on whether you choose to press Victor or protect him in the first part.

Talbot will comment that you have a decent timeline of the events that happened. You’ll add that you should split up and check the places Penny frequents, like her flat and the Apothecary, and Corey will add that you should definitely check St Mungo’s of course to see if she might be hurt.

Following this, the group will split into teams. Talbott and Badeaa will head to Penny’s apartment, with Talbott mentioning he knows where the spare key is since Penny once asked him to water her plants. Corey and Jae will investigate the Apothecary, with Corey noting that she knows the owner and can get them inside. Victor, Merula, and you will be responsible for checking St. Mungo’s.

Proceed to the Reception at the St Mungo’s when you are ready. When you arrive you will be surprised to see that St Mungo’s lobby is so empty.

Merula will also be surprised by that.

Victor will tell Merula that it’s okay if she’s scared of empty hospitals. She will respond in an angry tone, saying she never mentioned it or even thought about it. Then, Victor will want to know your thoughts on whether empty hospitals are spooky. You can reply in two ways. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Soon after, Victor will say that it seems to him that you are quite familiar with St Mungo’s, and you will explain that you first came here when you were part of the student program at Hogwarts.

To do that, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start this task with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Victor and Merula. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll claim that you’ve reduced it to three areas after you’re finished. The patient room, the hospital wards, and the alchemy room. You’ll advise Merula to be quiet so as not to disturb anyone and instruct her to search the patient’s room.

You’ll then advise Victor to look about the hospital ward. He will confidently respond that he will do it faster than you when you suggest that he will cover a lot of ground rapidly as a vampire.

Because you previously worked there, you will claim that you will search the Alchemy room and if you come across a healer, it will be less suspicious if you are there.

You’ll mention that you’ll all gather here after finishing the search. Go to the Alchemy room to continue the story. When you get there Victor will surprise you with his presence.

He’ll apologize to you and say that he didn’t mean to startle you. You can reply in two ways. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Afterward, you’ll ask him what he’s doing here and whether shouldn’t he be exploring the hospital wards. You will ask him to explain why he followed you into the Alchemy Room and he will answer that he wants to tell you something.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start this task with a full energy bar.

The only bonus progress action is tied to Victor. Prioritize this action to save some energy.

When you’re done, you’ll find out the reason that Victor is late because of a blood-flavored lollipop. He’ll mention that Corey was supposed to get it for him, but she didn’t have time, and the candy melted in his pocket, making a red smear on his face. You’ll ask him why he’s telling you this now.

He’ll say that he wants to prove that he had nothing to do with Penny’s disappearance. Then he will ask you if you believe him about why he was late to Corey’s party. There are two options to choose from. If you like Victor, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Victor will say that he just wanted to tell you before Merula starts throwing more baseless accusations at him again.

He’ll be sorry for avoiding questions and being defensive. You’ll thank him for explaining why he was late and remind him to tell the others about that.

Go to the Former Student Centre to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive you’ll approach your friends. You will inform them that Penny is not at St Mungo’s.

Badeea will say that she and Talbott checked Penny’s apartment and asked her flatmate, who confirmed that Penny wasn’t there. Jae will mention that he went to the Apothecary, and the owner said Penny hadn’t been there after her shift.

You will say that you want to gather everyone’s alibis about what they were doing in the dark, and Jae will say that it is impossible to prove whether everyone is telling the truth.

Jae will assume that Corey is lying about Penny’s disappearance not being part of the murder mystery game. You can reply in two ways. If you like Corey, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Shortly after that, you will say that Jae is right about not being able to confirm anyone’s alibis. You’ll ask Corey to tell you about what her plan was for the murder mystery.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start this task with a full energy bar.

The only bonus progress action is tied to Corey. Prioritize this action to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

When you hear Corey’s side of the story, you will find out that Badeea was supposed to be the mystery victim, and that the plan was for her to drink a Sleeping Potion to feign death, and Penny was supposed to be the killer.

Corey will say she’s telling the truth and is ready to use Veritaserum to prove it if needed.

 Corey will say that she’s prepared to show she’s innocent, and a bit later, she’ll drink a potion.

After drinking the potion, you’ll ask Corey how she’s feeling. She’ll say she’s scared and excited. Then, you’ll ask her once more about Penny’s role in the murder mystery.

She’ll mention that initially, Penny was supposed to be the victim, but Penny noticed her drafts, and then Corey modified them to make Badeea the intended victim.

She will respond that she is innocent and then proceed to consume an antidote, which clears Corey of suspicion.

Jae will apologize that you had to find out the old-fashioned way and he’ll add that he doesn’t have Veritaserum anymore.

You will say that you will not give up so easily and that it is not time to hang up your detective hat yet. At that moment, you will accidentally see a note on the floor.

You will see that the note is for Penny.

Badeea will ask you what it says.

After that, you will request all handwriting samples from all your friends, to compare them with the handwriting in the note.
