Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.
When you arrive, Penny will explain that Professor McGonagall has called you in to deliver some important news. You’ll notice that Professor Dumbledore is nowhere to be seen, and Penny will mention that he occasionally leaves Hogwarts for important matters.

Shortly after that, you’ll hear Professor McGonagall’s announcement. To discover the news, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Professor McGonagall. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll learn that there’s a mysterious, magical affliction spreading through Hogwarts — even Professor Dumbledore has been affected. Professor McGonagall will explain that it doesn’t appear to be contagious or fatal. Penny will add that it’s urgent to find a cure, as the Hospital Wing is quickly filling up. She’ll then ask how you feel about the whole situation.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You’ll also notice that Ben is nowhere to be seen, which will make you worry that he might also be affected by the affliction. Professor McGonagall will advise everyone to take care of their health and to report to the Hospital Wing immediately if they experience any symptoms. You’ll decide to head to the Hospital Wing to check if Ben is there.
Go to the Hospital Wing to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.
When you arrive at the Hospital Wing, you’ll see Ben and go over to talk to him. However, Madam Hooch will quickly step in and inform you that visitors aren’t allowed at the moment. This line will vary depending on which year you’re currently in at Hogwarts.

She will say that she can’t let you in without a very good reason, but you have three options to choose from. Whichever option you pick, she will still allow you to spend a little time with Ben.

When you approach Ben, you’ll tell him you’re glad to see him and ask him to explain exactly what happened, as you might be able to help — which he will gladly accept. To learn Ben’s story, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Ben. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll learn that Ben started to feel strange while talking to Ambrosius Flume in Hogsmeade. They were chatting about sweets when they suddenly began to hear strange music, which Ben says he can still hear even while resting in the hospital wing.
Hearing the music is when the slight stinging sensation began, and it’s quite bothersome for him. You’ll promise to do everything you can to help, and Ben thanks you for visiting. Shortly after, Madam Hooch will approach and inform you that it’s time to leave the Hospital Wing.

You’ll also notice that Tulip has been brought in and that she too has been affected by the mysterious affliction.
Following that, considering Ben mentioned he first felt strange while speaking with Ambrosius Flume, you’ll decide to head to Honeydukes to speak with Flume and see if he knows anything that could help unravel this mystery.
Proceed to the Honeydukes when you are ready. When you arrive at Honeydukes, you’ll also see Penny, who tells you she came to buy some sweets for your friends in the Hospital Wing. If this is your first visit to Honeydukes, the place will be briefly introduced at this point.
Regardless, Penny will then ask you what kind of sweet you think would be best for cheering up your friends. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after, you’ll approach Mr. Flume and ask him about the incident that occurred, but he’ll explain that he needs to close the shop first as he’s too exhausted to stay on his feet. You’ll offer to help him close up, and in return, he agrees to tell you everything that happened.
To help Flume close, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to for sweets, vending machine on the right, and Mr. Flume. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll find out that Madam Rosmerta felt the affliction even before Mr. Flume, and that the strange condition has also appeared in Godric’s Hollow. Mr. Flume will add that Madam Rosmerta is still working at the Three Broomsticks despite not feeling well. You’ll decide to head there immediately to speak with her, while Penny returns to Hogwarts to deliver sweets to your friends.
This line will differ based on your previous choice.

Go to the Three Broomsticks to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll see that Madam Rosmerta is busy with work and clearly exhausted.
You’ll tell her that you’re looking into the mysterious magical affliction spreading through Hogsmeade and Hogwarts, but she’ll respond that she wishes she had time to talk, as she’s already behind on her duties and needs to clean the entire place. You’ll offer to help her with the cleaning so that you can talk during the process, which she will gladly accept.
To clean Three Broomsticks, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

Madam Rosmerta will explain that she’s felt this magical affliction before, many years ago, during dark times. It was during the rise of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named—what you now call the Wizarding War.
She experienced the same symptoms back then: faint music accompanied by a strange stinging sensation, which she describes as most bothersome. She’ll also express her hope that this current affliction is not connected to the Wizarding War, because if it is, that would be very troubling. No one would want to witness the return of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.
At this point, you’ll be given a chance to ask her a question about the war. Feel free to choose whichever question interests you most, as your choice won’t affect the course of the story.

Shortly after that, you’ll decide to head to the library to further research the incident and the Wizarding War.

This will mark the end of Part 1 of A Record of the Past Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 300 Coins.
As your investigation deepens, it becomes clear that this mysterious affliction isn’t just a passing illness — it’s rooted in a dark chapter of magical history. With more witches and wizards falling ill and strange music haunting their minds, you’re left with more questions than answers.
But one thing is certain: if you want to protect your friends and Hogwarts, you must continue unraveling the mystery — no matter how deep or dangerous the truth may be. The real challenge is only just beginning.
