VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for A Snape Scorned Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part of our adventure, you helped Penny as she anxiously attempted to reclaim her confiscated survey notebook from Professor Snape. With the Hogwarts Favorites competition hanging in the balance, you raced against time to prevent Snape from discovering the results, all while navigating the bustling corridors of Hogwarts.

You also assisted Barnaby in resolving his sweet dilemma at Honeydukes, which provided a lighthearted moment amidst the tension. Your journey led you to cross paths with Snape at the Magical Creatures Reserve, raising even more questions about his elusive behavior.

Although he reassured you that Penny’s party would continue, his cryptic words lingered in your mind, prompting you to wonder if there’s more to the Potions Master than meets the eye. Could understanding him better lead to a newfound appreciation among students?

You’ll comment that there are a wide range of reactions to Professor Snape—some fear him, others respect him—but most of them think Snape doesn’t care about students. Following that, Penny will ask how you feel about Professor Snape. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

After you finish, Professor Snape will ask you a few questions. The first one will be: What are you supposed to do with the Streeler shells? The correct answer is “Grind them.”

Following that, he will ask which of these is not an ingredient for Doxycide. The correct answer is Shrivelfig.

And finally, he will ask you for the correct sequence of actions to brew Doxycide. The correct answer is “Stir the potion, then heat it.”

Shortly after the questioning and once you’ve finished stirring and heating, you’ll wave your wand over the potion, and it will be successfully brewed. Professor Snape will then congratulate you on your accomplishment.

Professor Snape will comment that it took him months to learn how to properly brew Doxycide the first time. He’ll mention that he spent months practicing to ensure he could teach it correctly, adding that if he can’t communicate the directions clearly, the students won’t learn, and mistakes will be made. He will emphasize that sometimes making mistakes when brewing potions can be deadly.

You’ll ask him where he obtains the ingredients, and he will suggest that you assist him, reminding you to be mindful as you will be tested on the material afterward. To restock the storeroom, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Professor Snape will then advise you to pay attention to the details, stating that if you were truly paying attention, you would realize your perception of him is wrong.
