A Weasley Christmas Vacation Part 3
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for A Weasley Christmas Vacation Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part of the story, you successfully arrived at the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary and reunited with your long-time friend Charlie. After quickly reconnecting with him, you all went to the camp to decorate the Christmas tree. After finishing the Christmas tree, Ginny expressed a desire to visit the dragons.
Shortly after, together with Ginny and Charlie, you visited the Welsh Green dragon named Apple. Charlie shared the story of how that dragon got its name, but the moment of joy was interrupted when you realized that Ginny was missing. Concerned about her disappearance in such a dangerous place, you decided to return to the camp to find her.
Unfortunately, she wasn’t there, and when Bill noticed your concern, he asked what was happening. You revealed to him that their sister had disappeared, creating a tense situation. Together with Bill, you devised a plan to approach the search for her and then set out in the hopes of finding her quickly.

(Task 1 will be slightly different depending on whether you chose to go with Bill or Charley in the previous choice.)
Proceed to the Welsh Green Nest when you are ready. When you arrive there, you will see that Apple has temporarily left its nest, allowing you to search for trails that could help you determine Ginny’s whereabouts.
You’ll tell him that’s why you need to be quick, explaining that this is where Ginny disappeared, hoping there might be some clues around. Then you’ll suggest to Charlie to search the area to find any clues. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.
The bonus progress actions are tied to Charlie. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.
When you finish, you’ll show Charlie the trail of Exploding Snap cards.
You’ll say that it looks like the deck that Ginny had at The Burrow and ask him if he recognizes it. Charlie will take a moment to realize that it’s her deck that he gave her when he graduated. Following that, he’ll ask you what you think this trail of cards means. There are two options to choose from. The correct answer is “Ginny left a trail on purpose”.
You’ll soon figure out what’s going on.
Charlie will say that he wouldn’t have expected anything less from his clever little sister. Following that, you’ll suggest that he go find Bill to inform him about the trail while you follow the trail to locate Ginny.
Go to the Mountaintop Cave to find Ginny. After arriving, you will notice Ginny in the cave, and you will immediately feel relieved.
She’ll be very happy to see you and will realize that you followed her trail of cards. These lines will differ based on your previous choice.
Ginny will say that she wasn’t sure how to get back to camp and didn’t want to risk losing the egg. So, you will ask her where the egg came from and whether she accidentally took it from the nest. She will answer that it is not, and she will want to explain in more detail what actually happened.
To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.
Bonus progress actions are tied to Egg and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.
After completing the task, you’ll discover that Ginny discovered a dragon egg in the snow and didn’t want to leave it alone for Christmas. She’ll express that while all of you have someone, the egg has no one, and she doesn’t want to abandon it in the cold. She’ll share that she attempted to locate its family to prevent it from being alone and inquire about your thoughts on the matter.
There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.
After a while, Bill and Charlie will join, expressing relief that you located Ginny. You will propose heading back to the camp now that she’s found.
Proceed to the Clearing when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll see the others waiting for you.
These lines will differ based on your previous choice.
He will still thank you for finding Ginny, and he will also say that if you hadn’t been there, Christmas wouldn’t have been the same. You’ll tell him that you’re glad you could help. Mr. Weasley will express surprise about the dragon egg, and you’ll tell him that Ginny found it.
Charlie will add that the egg was lying in the snow and needs to be warmed up, and you’ll offer to warm it up. Trace the wand movement to cast Incendio.
The spell will work as intended, and the fire will ignite.
Charlie will mention that the warming spell will be beneficial for the egg, and you’ll inquire about the type of egg. He’ll note that the pale gray color and pearly sheen make it easily recognizable, asking if you’re familiar with the dragon species it belongs to. There are three options to choose from. The correct answer is “Antipodean Opaleye”.
Mr. Weasley will comment that he remembers reading in Charlie’s letters that the Opaleyes are native to New Zealand. You’ll agree with him, mentioning that it’s interesting since the egg is here. Charlie will explain that they occasionally have Opaleyes here, but they’re usually ones they’ve rescued from poachers. He’ll also note that it’s strange for the egg to be just in the snow and not in a nest.
To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to it with a full energy bar.

When you finish, you’ll have two theories about how the egg ended up there. Mr. Weasley will say that Charlie mentioned that only Opaleyes in the Sanctuary are males, but a mother could have moved in. Charlie will agree and say that it’s possible, but he and his colleagues always keep an eye on such things. He’ll add that he thinks it’s more likely that the egg is the result of poaching and illegal dragon breeding.
Charlie will add that they’ve had troubles with egg poachers, and this egg might have fallen on a getaway. Mr. Weasley will be very sorry for the egg that was left alone. You’ll suggest checking the nests to see if, by chance, a mother, Opaleye, is missing her egg, and if so, you’ll return it.
Charlie will agree with you and say that the egg needs to be with its family. He’ll tell his parents to watch over the egg while you go to check the nests.
Following that, you’ll suggest starting the search for the nests. Go to the Norwegian Ridgeback Nest to continue the story. When you arrive there, Charlie will say it’s the only other nest he knows in the area that would make sense for the egg to have come from.
You’ll notice the nest looks a bit empty. Charlie will say it’s good that he’s with you and point out signs of activity. Following that, you’ll suggest checking the nest for hidden eggs. But at that moment, a Norwegian Ridgeback will appear and startle you.
Charlie will try to calm you down and tell you that this is a young male Norwegian Ridgeback and that it won’t hurt you. He’ll add that he thinks you disrupted its plans to claim that nest. You’ll ask him what to do, expressing that you don’t want to leave before checking the nest. Charie will then suggest that he distracts the dragon while you search the nest.
To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.
The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.
After checking the nest, you’ll tell Charlie that you saw some eggshells in the nest, but nothing that matched the color of your egg. You’ll add that there were also some shed scales, but they didn’t seem to be from an Antipodean Opaleye.
You’ll tell him that it looks like he was right about your egg being the work of poachers. Charlie will say that he hoped he was wrong, but he will tell you that he’s still glad you checked the nest and emphasize the importance of reuniting the egg with its mother.
You will ask him what he means, and he will say that at least now you know for sure that the egg is not missing. He’ll also mention that you’ve seen what he deals with on a daily basis with dragons. Then he’ll ask you for your opinion about it. There are two options to choose from. If you like Charlie, it is recommended to choose the first option.
In any case, you’ll tell Charlie that you think being a Dragonologist suits him, and he’ll thank you. However, your conversation will be interrupted when you see that Mr. Weasley has cast the Vermillious spell.
You’ll suggest quickly returning to camp to see what’s happening.
This will mark the end of Part 3 of the A Weasley Christmas Vacation Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems.
Mr. Weasley cast the Vermilious spell—what could have gone wrong again? Are there any updates about the egg? Will you be able to celebrate Christmas without any issues? Find out in the next part of this dragon-filled adventure.
