Apparition Is Your Mission Part 1

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Apparition is Your Mission Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Your boss Flump didn’t like it when he found out that you don’t know how to Apparition. He’ll enroll you in a course where you will learn how to flawlessly use this teleportation skill, but if you fail your final exam, you may get fired.

Walkthrough

Go to the Break Room to begin this story. You will stand near the vending machine to take some snacks when suddenly your boss will enter the room, looking very angry at you.

You will wonder why is he so upset. Feel free to choose next what to say, it will not have an impact on the overall story.

He will warn you to listen closely to what he found out about you. To do this, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

There is only one bonus progress action and it’s tied to your boss. Prioritize this action to save a bit of energy.

You will find out that Flump is upset because you don’t know how to Apparate.

Your boss will continue that you were supposed to be a professional and he’ll ask you how you expect to progress your career if you can’t do a simple thing like Apparate.

Flump will say that luckily, one Apparition instructor owes him a favor. That means you are going to attend a twelve-week Apparition course with some other Ministry stragglers. The next choice won’t have a significant impact on the story, it will only influence some dialogue later, so feel free to choose the option you like.

Flump will warn you if you fail the Apparition course, he’ll make your remaining days at ROCC very unpleasant until he fires you.

Go to the Hogsmeade Festival Grounds to start your course. Once you are there, you will see that the two other Ministry employees who struggle with Apparition are none other than your friends Barnaby and Tonks. If you date Barnaby, you will have an additional funny part of the conversation with him.

Tonks will ask you how are you feeling about finally learning how to Apparate. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to pick one of the options.

Your Apparition instructor will arrive.

He will remember that you and your friends were a part of the Ministry of Magic student program. He’ll present himself.

Although there are only three students enrolled in the course, he will still read names to check if is everyone present, weirdly enough.

Soon, your first class about the Apparition will start.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Mr. Twycross and your character. Prioritise Mr. Twycross because there are more bonus progress actions tied to him and you’ll save some energy.

Your instructor will say that the most important thing to remember is the three Ds of Apparition. He will then ask if you can tell him one of the Ds. The correct answer is “Determination”.

Mr. Twycross will repeat the three Ds of Apparition which are Destination, Determination, and Deliberation. Shortly after, the time for practice will come, which will surprise you and Tonks given that this is your first class.

The instructor will point out that you should fix your mind firmly on your destination, which is the interior of the hoop in front of you. Then, you should focus your determination to occupy the visualized space.

When Mr. Twycross finishes his counting Tonks and Barnaby will try to Apparate. Tonks will fail, while Barnaby will move closer to the hoop, but when he reappears, he will miss one eyebrow.

The instructor will quickly fix that.

Mr. Twycross will explain that Barnaby experienced something called splinching. This occurs when someone who wants to Apparate is insufficiently determined. The instructor will remind you that you haven’t tried so you’ll give it a go now. You will succeed in moving closer to the hoop but without the splinching.

Mr. Twycross will compliment you.

He will point out that all three of you will need to work harder if you want to pass your exam. He’ll suggest you seek outside help between classes if you want to increase your chances of succeeding. But he will give you a warning that you should not try apparating without an instructor present.

Immediately after the warning, Mr. Twycross will apparate away. You will like the advice that you can ask for outside help. In order to practice the first D of Apparition which is the Destination, you’ll decide to visit one Hogwarts professor.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say. You will thank Professor Trelawney for agreeing to meet you.

She will already know about your problems because you sent her a letter earlier and she will try to help by telling you all about clearly imagining your destination in your mind’s eye.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

There are several bonus progress actions tied to Professor Trelawney. Prioritize only actions tied to her to save energy.

You will learn that when you are focusing on the destination you want to Apparate to, you should think about not only how it looks, but also how it sounds and smells.

You will also learn that you should avoid apparating anywhere you haven’t been before because, just like in romance, a general idea will give you limited results. The professor will ask you how are you feeling about apparating to the correct location. This choice will influence some dialogue later but it won’t change the overall story.

You will thank Professor Trelawney when she suddenly gets a very odd vision.

You will decide to practice for the next twelve weeks.
