Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Barnaby’s Family Values Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, Barnaby was faced with the daunting responsibility of delivering the Lee Family Toast, a ceremony tied to an ancient tradition. After receiving a letter from his grandmother, he learned that this year, he was chosen to give the toast and even had to compose new verses for his family members. However, with this honor came a heavy burden—if the toast was delivered incorrectly, a family curse could be triggered. As Barnaby struggled with the pressure, he found support from friends, including a trip to the Forbidden Forest to retrieve train tickets from his uncle Cecil, leading to an unexpected challenge. Now, in Part 2, the adventure continues as they work together to navigate the obstacles ahead.

Proceed to the Charms Classroom when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll approach Professor Flitwick and explain your predicament, asking for his help in tracking Barnaby’s uncle, Cecil, who holds the train tickets for London.

You’ll get extra lines of dialogue if you’ve completed The Quibbler: Fight For the Front Page Adventure.

Soon after, Professor Flitwick will suggest that you start practicing the tracking spell right away to help you successfully locate Cecil Lee. To practice tracking spell, you need to earn five stars within one hour. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Professor Flitwick. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Trace the wand movement to cast Appare Vestigium.

You successfully cast the tracking spell, feeling the magic connect with your surroundings. 

Professor Flitwick will tell Barnaby that he still needs more practice with the tracking spell. However, Barnaby is not concerned as long as one of you can cast it successfully to track his uncle. The professor will then express his hope that the spell doesn’t lead you into danger and will ask whether Uncle Cecil is a reliable professional you can trust for your safety. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Professor Flitwick will ask you to promise that you won’t take any unnecessary risks during your search. You will assure him that you won’t and express your gratitude. With that, you and Barnaby will decide to immediately set off on the quest to track down Uncle Cecil, feeling ready to face whatever challenges await.

Go to the Forbidden Forest to track Cecil Lee. When you arrive, you’ll comment that the tracking spell has been working well so far, leading you from Hogsmeade to here, so Cecil is likely very close. Barnaby will suggest casting the spell once more to be sure which direction his uncle went. Trace the wand movement to cast Appare Vestigium.

The spell will work as intended, revealing a new trail to follow.

It will turn out to be Barnaby’s Aunt Leah, whom he hasn’t seen since he was a child.

You’ll greet Leah warmly, expressing that it’s nice to meet her, while Barnaby will ask her what she’s doing here, surprised to see her so close to Hogwarts. Leah will respond that she could ask the same of you, as this isn’t exactly a place for students. You’ll then explain that you’re on a mission to find Cecil, who was supposed to give you train tickets but seems to have forgotten.

These lines will differ based on the year you attend.

She’ll apologize to Barnaby for not telling him she was nearby, mentioning that she hasn’t seen him since he was little and thought he wouldn’t care much about seeing his old aunt. Barnaby, however, will assure her that she’s family and very important to him. He’ll then explain that the two of you are preparing for the Lee Family Toast, which is why you need to travel to London.

You’ll tell her that Cecil mentioned the curse, then ask why she doesn’t believe in it. She’ll respond that she only believes in what she can see and touch and that she’d honestly prefer spending her time gathering magical plants over attending the Family Toast. However, Barnaby will be determined to convince her to join, explaining that he’s always wanted to get to know her better and spend some time with her. He’ll add that the event wouldn’t feel the same without her and that having everyone there might be a way to avoid the curse altogether.

To convince Aunt Leah, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the plant and Aunt Leah. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Aunt Leah will commend you for successfully gathering some fine plant specimens without getting poisoned, then mention that she’s now open to hearing you out about the Lee Family Toast. However, she’ll ask for a convincing reason to attend. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

In any case, Aunt Leah will ultimately agree to attend the Lee Family Toast.

Following that, Aunt Leah will leave, and Barnaby will once again ask you to cast the tracking spell to find traces of Uncle Cecil and ensure you catch the train in time. Trace the wand movement to cast Appare Vestigium.

New traces will appear, and you will immediately follow them in pursuit of Uncle Cecil.

Proceed to the Forest Grove when you are ready to acquire train tickets. When you arrive, you will find Uncle Cecil lying injured.

Uncle Cecil will warn you that there is likely a werewolf nearby, advising caution. Just as you hear a loud scream, a Yeti will suddenly appear, catching everyone off guard. 

You will wonder how a creature from Tibet ended up here. These lines will differ based on whether you have completed The Christmas Holidays Adventure.

Cecil will offer to fight the Yeti himself to protect you, but since he is injured, you will step in to face the creature.

To protect Uncle Cecil, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to Yeti and Barnaby. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You decide to use Incendio to drive the Yeti away. Trace the wand movement to cast Incendio.

The fire from your Incendio spell successfully frightens the Yeti, causing it to flee and leaving you with a moment to regroup. 

Barnaby will comment that it’s a shame you didn’t meet the Yeti under better circumstances and that he would have liked to be friends with it. However, Cecil will disagree, calling Yetis vicious and evil creatures. Barnaby will counter that magical creatures aren’t inherently good or evil; they just are. 

After this exchange, Barnaby will ask for your opinion on the matter—whether you agree with him or Cecil about the nature of Yetis. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Following that you will ask Cecil to hand over the tickets for the train to London.

Cecil will assure you not to worry and mention that he will Apparate to St. Mungo’s to get his ankle treated. He will wish you luck and, after that, you’ll quickly head out to ensure you don’t miss your train to London.

Go to the Hogsmeade Train Station to travel to London. After a few moments, you’ll find yourself aboard the train. You’ll also remark that Barnaby certainly gave the trolley witch a run for her money, as she almost ran out of sweets!

Barnaby will mention that as the one leading the Lee Family Toast, he has an important responsibility. This will emphasize the pressure he feels to ensure everything goes smoothly, especially after the potential curse they discussed earlier. This line will differ based on your previous choice. 

Barnaby will mention that, according to Uncle Cecil, the family has been suffering from the curse for three generations. This event would provide a chance to lift the curse. He’ll express his concern about not wanting to upset his grandmother and add that, to give the toast, he needs to memorize the existing verses and compose new ones of his own. This shows the immense pressure on him, as he carries a heavy family tradition and responsibility.

To prepare for toast, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the book and Barnaby. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You’ll praise Barnaby for already memorizing quite a few of the verses for the Lee Family Toast. You’ll then suggest that, before reaching London, it would be a good idea to start working on the new verses too. 

You’ll suggest starting with Aunt Leah and asking Barnaby what he thinks of her. Barnaby will respond by saying that Aunt Leah is very smart but also quite tough, mentioning that his grandmother has called her stubborn. He will then ask for your opinion on what would be the best focus for Aunt Leah’s verse. Choose what you like best, the verse will differ depending on what you choose, but it will not affect the story.

Shortly after, you’ll notice that the train is approaching London.

This will mark the end of Part 2 of Barnaby’s Family Values Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog. You will also unlock the Appare Vestigium spell. 

As your journey continues, the twists and turns of the adventure bring you closer to unraveling the mystery and lifting the family curse. With new allies, spells, and verses in hand, the Lee Family Toast awaits, and the excitement is palpable. As you reach London, your mission is far from over, but you’re ready for whatever comes next.
