Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for the Budding Talent Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Step in to support Leah Lee, the visiting Herbology expert at Hogwarts! A sudden staff shortage means your role will be essential to her research. Work alongside Leah and receive a unique magical plant as a token of appreciation!

Proceed to the Herbology Classroom when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.

When you arrive, Penny will greet you warmly and thank you for coming to help clean up the Herbology classroom. She will explain that Leah Lee, the expert Herbologist, is visiting Hogwarts, and Professor Sprout will ask for volunteers to prepare the greenhouse for her arrival.

If you haven’t met Leah Lee before, you will get slightly different dialogue lines, but in any case, Penny will mention that she is a rather renowned Herbologist who will be delivering a special shipment of plants to Hogwarts.

You will both decide to tidy up the classroom before Leah’s visit. However, before you can get started, Merula will show up and immediately begin causing trouble.

Penny will add that she doesn’t care about the fact that Leah’s family were Death Eaters, and she will wonder if you agree with her.

There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

However, while you’re talking, Penny will suddenly be attacked by a Venomous Tentacula. There’s no time to waste — you’ll need to act quickly and save her!

To protect Penny, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to Penny and the Venomous Tentacula. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Trace the wand movement to cast Diffindo or Flipendo.

You will successfully save Penny, and she will be very grateful. After a few moments, Professor Sprout will enter the classroom and ask how the cleanup is going. You will explain that Penny got a bit too close to a Venomous Tentacula, but you managed to control it.

Penny will add that you’re the one who saved her and will thank you sincerely for your quick thinking. Professor Sprout will praise both of you for your efforts and then mention that she would like to speak with you privately, asking you to meet her at the Courtyard.

Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive at the Courtyard, Professor Sprout will tell you that you showed impressive skill with plants when you protected Penny, and that it gave her an idea. She will add that you must have heard Leah Lee is visiting Hogwarts to deliver a shipment of plants.

If you’ve met Leah before, you will mention it, but either way, Professor Sprout will explain that she wants to appoint a student as Leah’s assistant during her stay, and she believes you’re the perfect candidate.

You will gladly accept the offer, which will make Professor Sprout very pleased. She will then smile and ask what excites you the most about helping Leah during her visit.

There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

After that, Professor Sprout will begin telling you more about Leah Lee and her remarkable plants, explaining why her visit to Hogwarts is such an exciting opportunity for every Herbology enthusiast.

To learn about Leah Lee, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass. 

The bonus progress actions are tied to Professor Sprout. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You will learn that Leah Lee is bringing Mandrakes, Fanged Geraniums, and Bubotubers, among other specimens. Professor Sprout will explain that she wants you to help Leah ease the plants into their new environments. She will then ask which plant you are most interested in learning more about.

There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Following that, she will say that it’s time for you to go and wait for Leah, as she will be arriving very soon. You will listen and head out immediately to meet her.

Go to the Training Grounds to continue the story. When you meet Leah Lee, the dialogue will vary slightly depending on whether you’ve met her before. Either way, you will introduce yourself and let her know that you have been assigned as her assistant during her stay at Hogwarts. You will ask if she has any questions about the school, and she will mention that she actually attended Hogwarts herself, in case you didn’t know, and that she knows the castle very well.

This will give you the chance to ask her more about her Hogwarts experiences. You can choose the question that interests you the most. 

You will then decide to help her move her luggage in the castle. To listen to help Leah, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Leah. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

Trace the wand movement to cast Wingardium Leviosa.

Following that, you will decide to go and pay a visit to Professor Dumbledore to greet him.

Go to Dumbledore’s Office to continue the story. When you arrive, Dumbledore will tell you that he has a wonderful opportunity for the two of you. He will ask you to listen carefully as he explains.

To listen to find out what happened, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Professor Dumbledore. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

Namely, Professor Dumbledore will explain that he needs Leah to substitute for Professor Sprout for a few days, and that you will be her teaching assistant during that time.

He will then ask if there is anything else you should know or any questions you should ask before you get started. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Following that, you will decide to go fetch the plants you left outside so that Filch won’t get upset.

This will mark the end of Part 1 of Creature from the Budding Talent Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 300 Coins.

By the end of Part 1, you will have successfully assisted Penny, met Leah Lee, and earned Professor Sprout’s trust. You will be appointed as Leah’s teaching assistant and prepared to help her with her magical plants. With the first tasks completed and your role established, you are now ready to step into the greenhouse and begin this exciting new adventure in Herbology.
