Chapter 2 – Andre Egwu, Quidditch Wizard

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Quidditch Season 2 Chapter 2 for Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you and your teammates gathered for practice. After all, the new season of Quidditch is here, and a lot of new and exciting matches await you. During the team meeting, Madam Hooch took off with Bean, one of the Beaters from your team.

Later on, you find out that she’s suspended from playing Quidditch because she’s been neglecting her studies. Because of this, your team is now down a Beater, and Orion asked you to play one during practices at least. Still, playing Beater is vastly different from playing Chaser, and Murphy made sure to point that out.

You’ll need to get accustomed to new playstyles, new maneuvers, and new strategies if you want to become a successful Beater. Later on, while meeting with Penny in the Great Hall, you find out that Erika Rath and Andre Egwu, one of your classmates, are friends. Also, Skye was absent during one of your practices, which is quite unusual, so you decided to seek her out and see what happened.

(Disclaimer: Some of the tasks have different star requirements, depending on the Year you’re in. The following Walkthrough contains the images from Year 6, which pretty much has the highest requirements.)

One of the good places to look for her would be the Quidditch stands. That’s where she usually spends a lot of time, and it might be a good idea to check out if she’s there. However, much to your surprise, instead of Skye, you’ll find Andre there, sitting and reading some playbooks.

season 2 chapter 2 002 1

If this is your first time meeting Andre (which might entirely be possible if you rushed through Quidditch chapters and haven’t encountered him during the main storyline), he’ll be sure to properly introduce himself. In any case, you’ll ask him an interesting question.

season 2 chapter 2 003 1

This is when you’ll learn that Andre, in fact, is Ravenclaw’s reserve Seeker. This is why you pretty much never saw him around during any of the matches. And even if your character is a Ravenclaw, he’ll explain why you never saw him during any practices either.

season 2 chapter 2 004 1
season 2 chapter 2 005 1

You’ll be a bit confused by his explanation.

season 2 chapter 2 006 1

After all, he is always there during the Flying classes, and Madam Hooch very often asks him to demonstrate all kinds of different maneuvers. How is it possible that he’s on the team and not even attending practices?

season 2 chapter 2 007 1

Also, you will be sure to comment on Ravenclaw’s current Seeker. If Ravenclaw is your character’s house, these lines will be a bit different for you.

season 2 chapter 2 008 1

Nevertheless, Andre will decide to open up and tell you a bit more. Listening to him requires earning five stars within an hour. Only one star is needed to pass.

season 2 chapter 2 011 1

Normally, with these requirements, it would be recommended to earn a single star and let the timer expire. However, there are some practice matches you’ll need to complete afterward, which is why you should fully complete this task.

This should easily be doable with a single energy bar. Also, the only bonus progress action here is linked to your character, and focusing on it might save you a bit of energy, which could make a difference if you didn’t start this task with full energy.

season 2 chapter 2 012 1

When you’re done, Andre will admit that he isn’t a very good Seeker. He does have great flying skills, which is why Madam Hooch often asks him to demonstrate some maneuvers during the Flying classes. Sadly, he needs much more to become a good Seeker.

season 2 chapter 2 015 1

Also, it looks like Murphy was the one who gave him all of these playbooks.

season 2 chapter 2 018 1

You’ll answer his question with one of your own.

season 2 chapter 2 020 1

Next, you’ll need to complete two Quidditch friendlies before you can continue.

season 2 chapter 2 021 1

The task window will display the available positions you can pick, the rewards, and the cost of each friendly match. While you can pick both Chaser and Beater, it is somewhat recommended to pick Beater for these.

There are a few reasons why you should do this. Firstly, Beater maneuvers are very different than Chaser ones. Secondly, you will play Beater during most of the house matches during Season Two. Because of these reasons, you need to get accustomed to Beater maneuvers. This will be very helpful during house matches, and those are the ones that matter the most.

season 2 chapter 2 022 1

As always, try your best to complete all of the maneuvers successfully. Since most of Beater’s maneuvers are not time-limited, just focus on one circle at a time. This should make things much easier.

season 2 chapter 2 023 1

There will be a waiting period of three hours once you’re done with the friendlies. Since regular Quidditch chapters are not time-limited, it is recommended to simply wait for this timer to expire.

season 2 chapter 2 024 1

Once the waiting time is over, proceed to the Quidditch changing room to meet with Murphy. After greeting each other, Murphy will comment on Andre’s flying skills.

season 2 chapter 2 026 1

He’ll also be sure to mention that playing Quidditch is not one of Andre’s strongest suits. This is exactly why you decided to seek Murphy out. Hopefully, his knowledge will help Andre become a better player. Still, your Ravenclaw friend will be quite confused by all of this.

season 2 chapter 2 029 1

Both Murphy and you will try your best to explain everything.

season 2 chapter 2 030 1
season 2 chapter 2 031 1

Apparently, Andre is quite famous when it comes to style.

season 2 chapter 2 032 1

You’ll then witness some friendly banter between the two of them.

season 2 chapter 2 033 1
season 2 chapter 2 035 1

Apparently, Murphy is more than happy to help Andre out. Talking about the Seeker strategy requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all of the stars are needed to pass, it is recommended not to start this task if you’re out of energy.

season 2 chapter 2 038 1

Both Andre and Murphy have bonus progress actions linked to them. Prioritize these if you want to save some energy.

season 2 chapter 2 039 1

When you’re done, Murphy will say he explained most of the basic Seeker strategies, and he’ll also offer to help Andre should he be interested in learning more. Your Ravenclaw friend will be very thankful for everything, but still, he’ll be curious to know why you decided to help him out. There are two options to reply with. If you like Andre, it is highly recommended that you pick the first one.

season 2 chapter 2 043 1

Shortly after, Murphy will remind you of the tryouts you should be attending. This will come as a huge surprise since no one mentioned any tryouts to you.

season 2 chapter 2 045 1

He’ll quickly explain what these tryouts are all about.

season 2 chapter 2 046 1

Also, Skye was the one who told Murphy about it. You’ll be very eager to see her, especially since she didn’t show up for your last practice, and by the looks of it, you’ll get the opportunity to meet her at the Quidditch Pitch since she’s also aiming to become Beater for your team, Needless to say, this will confuse you even more. Sadly, Murphy doesn’t have all of the answers, so in this case, you’ll have to talk to Skye and see what’s going on.

Proceed to the Quidditch pitch when you are ready to continue. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re interested to see what they have to say to you. You’ll tell your friends that Murphy informed you about tryouts.

season 2 chapter 2 055 1

Skye will quickly explain that she was the one who told Murphy about it; Orion will calmly say that there’s no need for tryouts at this point; and he’ll also explain why that’s the case.

season 2 chapter 2 058 1

Still, he’ll be interested in hearing your opinion on the matter. There are three options to answer. None of these will have any significant influence on the story, so feel free to pick whichever one you prefer.

season 2 chapter 2 059 1

As it seems, Skye is pretty keen on playing Beater for your team, she’ll simply ask for Orion and you to hear her out. To do that, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if your energy bar is empty.

season 2 chapter 2 063 1

The only bonus progress action here is linked to Skye. Prioritize her actions if you want to save a bit of energy.

season 2 chapter 2 064 1

In the end, Orion will decide it’s best to have tryouts. The next practice will determine which one of you is better suited to play as Beater for the team. This friendly is fairly similar to most of the others. The major difference is that you’ll have to play as Beater.

season 2 chapter 2 067 1

Like before, don’t rush these maneuvers since most of them are not limited by time. Just focus on one circle at a time, and you won’t have any problems completing all of the maneuvers successfully.

season 2 chapter 2 068 1

When you’re done, Skye will be eager to know which one of you won. Still, Orion’s answer will not be the one she was hoping for.

season 2 chapter 2 070 1

Unlike her, you will be a bit more direct with your question, and your team captain will calmly explain that he needs a bit of time to make the final decision.

Next, you’ll need to meet with Andre and tell him about the tryouts. However, he’s not ready to meet with you yet, so you’ll have to wait approximately four hours. Since your energy is most likely low at this point, simply wait until this timer runs out, and let your energy regenerate in the meantime.

season 2 chapter 2 074 1

Once the waiting time is over, head to the Clocktower Courtyard to meet with Andre. When you get there, you’ll get to interact with some of the characters before continuing. Andre will be very surprised that Skye wants to be a Beater. After all, she’s famous for being a Chaser.

season 2 chapter 2 077 1

Still, he’s not the only one who was surprised by this.

season 2 chapter 2 078 1

You will tell Andre that you are anxiously waiting for Orion’s decision, and it seems you won’t have to wait much longer. Andre will cut the conversation short since he’s got an unfinished Transfiguration essay to take care of. This is when you’ll notice Orion and Murphy approaching you, and you’ll quickly ask Orion if he’s made a decision.

season 2 chapter 2 082 1

By the looks of it, he has. Finding out if you’re the one who should play Beater for your team requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

season 2 chapter 2 085 1

There are bonus progress actions linked to both Murphy and your character. Prioritizing these should save you some energy.

season 2 chapter 2 086 1

When you are done, Orion will be ready to announce his decision. However, Murphy will beat him to it and say that you’re going to become the new Beater for your house team.

season 2 chapter 2 088 1

Also, they already informed Skye about this, and according to Murphy, there is a decent chance she took it well. Following that, Orion will be curious to know how you feel about being a new Beater for your team. This choice won’t influence the story, so feel free to give him your honest opinion.

season 2 chapter 2 092 1

He will tell you that you can feel free to play practice matches as a Chaser, but you’ll need to play Beater for the upcoming house matches.

Soon enough, your next practice will begin. Proceed to the Quidditch pitch when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll get to interact with some of your teammates and check out what they have to say. You’ll notice that Skye is in a very cheerful mood.

season 2 chapter 2 097 1
season 2 chapter 2 098 1

She will admit to you that the whole Beater tryout was just a test. She’ll calmly start explaining everything to you. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Only one star is needed to pass.

season 2 chapter 2 104 1

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all of the available actions. Also, there are bonus progress actions linked to both Orion and Skye, so prioritize these if you’re looking to save some energy.

season 2 chapter 2 105 1

Skye will sum things up when you’re done.

season 2 chapter 2 106 1
season 2 chapter 2 107 1

She will also mention the outcome of the previous Quidditch season.

season 2 chapter 2 108 1
season 2 chapter 2 109 1

She’ll then ask if you trust her. You have two options to reply with. If you like Skye, it is highly recommended to pick the first option.

season 2 chapter 2 110 1

Next, you’ll be reminded that your practice is about to start.

season 2 chapter 2 111 1
season 2 chapter 2 112 1

This requires completing four Quidditch friendlies.

season 2 chapter 2 113 1

As before, you can choose which position you want to play, and the task window will display all the relevant information. Since you will be required to play Beater in the upcoming house matches, it is highly recommended to practice as one and improve your Quidditch skills in the process.

season 2 chapter 2 114 1

Like before, try your best to complete all of the maneuvers successfully in order to earn some nice rewards.

season 2 chapter 2 115 1

Once you complete four friendly matches, Chapter 2 of Season 2 will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 200 Coins.

It’s been decided! You’re a new Beater for your house team! Without a doubt, there will be some hard work and difficult matches ahead, but as long as you give it your best, you can help your team win the Quidditch Cup!
