Chapter 24 – Next Steps
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twenty-four of Beyond Hogwarts: Volume One of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, you were shocked to discover that Ruby was alive. You immediately demanded an explanation, and it turned out that Ruby knew who was behind all of this. She even set a Graphorn loose to attack you because you were on the right track. Ruby explained that faking her death was the only way to protect the person she loves, who is none other than the culprit who owns the quill. Eris, her girlfriend, was the one she was protecting. However, they had a terrible fight when Ruby faked her death, leading to their breakup.
Afterward, you met with your boss, Flump, who wasn’t surprised to see Ruby alive since he had witnessed many strange things during his time at ROCC. Following a brief conversation, Ruby revealed that she knew the location of the cursed quill, saying it was in Red Cap Hole. Flump insisted on accompanying you, not wanting you to go alone.
Upon arriving, you faced a battle with three Red Caps. You successfully defeated them and finally found the cursed quill in a nearby chest. You immediately went to the Research Lab to verify if it was the quill you were searching for, and fortunately, it was, meaning your case was resolved and finally over.
Then, Olivia arrived and told you she had found Jacob, who was waiting for you at the Hog’s Head Inn. Jacob wanted to apologize for disappearing and explained that he had time to think. Although his sight hasn’t returned, he is grateful to have his family—you and Olivia.

Proceed to your Flat when you are ready. When you arrive, you will inform Callum that you and Flump successfully secured the quill, and then you’ll ask him what he has been doing in your absence.

He will say that he came up with something that should work, and he will ask you to listen to him. To learn the plan, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Callum. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

His plan is to keep Ruby close rather than locked up somewhere, specifically in your flat. There are two options to choose from. If you like Ruby, it is recommended to pick the second option.

You’ll wonder what Flump thinks about this, but Callum will say that he already asked Flump and that Flump agrees with his idea.

Ruby will promise to be respectful of your space and not to interfere when your friends come over.


You will thank Callum and head out to visit your friends at Barnaby’s house. You’ll need to wait three hours before you can continue. Since this chapter is not time-limited, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

Head to Barnaby’s Parlour once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll see that every corner of the house is decorated to suit the tastes of your friends. Barnaby will mention that he knows how hard it is for you to get away from Magical Maintenance, adding that it seems like you’re always so busy.

After a brief chat, Barnaby will ask you what you think of his house’s new look. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

He will then say that he hopes you like the place because he wants everyone to feel like they can come there and hang out. Then he will suggest giving you a more thorough tour of the house.
To check out the parlour, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Penny, Andre, Barnaby, and Alanza. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

You’ll say you’re glad that your suggestion for your friends to move in together has paid off and that it seems they are happy.

Penny will say she’s pleased that everything worked out, and she’ll express regret that she has to leave now. You’ll ask her where she’s going, and she’ll inform you that she needs to go to Hogsmeade Station to see Beatrice because it’s her first time riding the train alone and she wants to surprise her. You’ll inquire if you could accompany her, which she’ll happily accept.

You’ll need to wait four hours before you can continue. Since this chapter is not time-limited, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

Proceed to the Hogsmeade Train Station once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll greet Beatrice and say that you hope her school year went well.

Beatrice will then say she knows why Penny came but will ask why you have come. There are three options to choose from. If you like Beatrice, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Following that, you’ll spot Hagrid. You’ll see him with Harry Potter, exchanging greetings, which is a lovely scene.

You’ll then leave the Haywood sisters to catch up. When you approach Hagrid, you’ll tell him that you wanted to thank him for pointing you in Professor Snape’s direction about the foxglove.

You’ll ask him if that was Harry Potter with him, to which he’ll confirm. You’ll add that it seems like just yesterday that Penny and you ran into him in Diagon Alley with that snowy owl.

Hagrid will say he couldn’t resist buying him a gift, adding that Harry reminds him of you. You’ll then suggest to Hagrid that you catch up because you’re curious about what’s happening at Hogwarts. To catch up with Hagrid, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Hagrid and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

When you finish catching up, you’ll comment that it sounds like both you and Hagrid had a very eventful year. Hagrid will say he hopes your work life has been less hectic than your school life.

You’ll say that it reminds you that you need to get back to work to talk to your boss about something. You’ll thank Hagrid for catching up and add that you can’t wait to see what next year will bring.
Before you proceed further with the story tasks, you have three mandatory chapter tasks to complete: Chiara’s Concern at Your Flat, Take a Break in Break Room, and Organize Workspace. Go to your flat to start the mandatory chapter task. There, Chiara will be waiting for you, concerned that your friend Alanza knows her secret that she is a werewolf. She needs your help to clear up her doubts.

You’ll need to complete several objectives to finish this mandatory chapter task. Feel free to do them in any order you prefer.

While doing these objectives, it is recommended to select the duration that matches their star requirements.

Prioritize actions with bonus progress whenever they are available.

Try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some additional attribute points.

Once you complete all of the tasks, hit the Collect button and return to your flat.

After you complete all the objectives, you can claim the reward in the Wizarding World section of the Wizarding Life tab.

You have two mandatory chapter tasks left to complete. While they’ve functioned as optional tasks so far, you must complete them to progress further in the story.

Also, prioritize actions with bonus progress whenever they are available.

Try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some additional attribute points.

Once you finish all the mandatory chapter tasks, you can continue progressing through the story. Proceed to the Break Room when you are ready. When you get there, you will be surprised, your whole team will applaud in your honor.

At that moment, Flump will appear and announce to everyone to gather because he has an announcement to make about a case you just closed.
To listen to the announcement, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the agent near you, Flump, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

In the end, Flump will congratulate you and even say your name, something he hadn’t done before.


He will say that from now on you are a member of the Cursed Places Division and that you’ve earned it. He will also have a nice gift for you.

There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Following that, he will say that he has something else for you and ask you to follow him. Go to the Workspace to continue the story. When you arrive, you’ll ask your boss what you’re doing there, and he’ll tell you that you’ve come to see your new desk.


You’ll tell Flump that you’re pleasantly surprised today, and he’ll ask what surprises you the most. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

He will say that the promotion will open new doors for you, in particular, which might be a bit confusing for you. Then he’ll congratulate you again and even smile.


He will then leave you alone, and you’ll take the opportunity to check out your new workspace. To explore your new space, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll spot a small package that has arrived for you.

When you shake it, an amulet will fall out of it.


You’ll realize it’s Dai Rysaki’s amulet that your dad always carried. You’ll ask yourself where it came from, who sent it to you, and what’s going on.


This will conclude Chapter 24 of Beyond Hogwarts: Volume 1. You will receive 2500 Experience Points, 400 Coins, and +2 Energy Cap. By completing Chapter 24, you’ll officially finish Volume 1.
