Chapter 25 – Swan Dive
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twenty-Five of Year Seven of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous chapter, you and your friends received new assignments from Madam Strout. All of you were assigned to tend to patients in the Janus Thickey Ward. Once you got there, you were in for a surprise. The patient that was assigned to you was none other than Zenith Xeep. You learned that she still couldn’t remember you due to the effects of the memory loss potion. Still, you were unsure if helping Zenith regain her memories was a good idea.
You talked to Penny about it and eventually realized that helping Madam Xeep was the right thing to do. Shortly after, Talbott showed up and said that he saw a ghost of his mother. You went with him to the Alchemy Room and learned that he saw a ghostly swan at St. Mungo’s. Since his mother’s Animagus form was a white swan, he assumed that he saw her ghost.
You then went to see Jacob with Corey, and you discussed the Dark Scroll. In the end, you all agreed to let Corey hide the scroll. You later went to tend to Zenith, but sadly, you couldn’t make much progress. While she was sleeping, you saw a ghostly swan flying above Madam Xeep, and upon taking a closer look, you realized that it was a Swan Patronus.

Now you can continue where you left off. Once again, it is recommended to do the lessons and the assignments first, so proceed to the Potions classroom when you are ready. To unlock the Antidote to Veritaserum lesson, you need to obtain a total of nine stars from the Potions classes. Select the class duration you prefer, and hit Start to begin.
As always, prioritize bonus progress actions if you want to save as much energy as possible.
Try your best to successfully complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some extra Knowledge points.
Head back to the classroom once you earn enough stars to unlock the lesson. To complete the Antidote to Veritaserum lesson, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you should avoid starting this lesson with an empty energy bar.
During the lesson, you will be asked a question about Veritaserum.
Once you obtain all five stars, you will need to wave your wand over the cauldron to finish the potion. Trace the wand movement on the screen to do so.
That should conclude the lessons part of the chapter. You will receive a reward for completing it.
Proceed to the Reception area of St. Mungo’s once you are ready to start the assignment. Madam Strout will be glad to see you.
You’ll ask her to tell you what happened. It appears their latest patient tried to make his own Floo powder, but things didn’t go as planned, resulting in injury. Unfortunately, he refused to disclose the ingredients he used. Madam Strout will ask you to investigate and assist her fellow Healers, and you’ll gladly agree to help.
You will need to finish several tasks in order to complete this assignment. Feel free to do them in any order you prefer.
While doing these tasks, be sure to select the duration that matches their star requirements.
Like before, prioritize bonus progress actions if you want to save some energy.
Each mini-task you successfully complete will award you some extra attribute points, so try your best to do them all.
Hit the Collect button and head back to the Reception area of St. Mungo’s once you finish all of the tasks.
Madam Strout will tell you good news. The patient was successfully healed and sent home.
You’ll be glad to hear that, and she will thank you for informing her about the ingredients the patient used in his formula. You will earn a reward for completing the assignment.
Now that lessons and assignments are out of the way, you can continue the story. Proceed to the Alchemy Room when you are ready. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. You’ll approach Talbott and tell him about the ghostly white swan you saw in the Janus Thickey Ward.
He will be glad to know that he wasn’t imagining things. The choice you made while talking to him during the previous chapter will take effect here.
You’ll then tell Talbott that the ghostly swan he saw wasn’t a ghost at all but a Patronus. Talbott will wonder why anyone would cast a Patronus at St. Mungo’s and won’t be sure that all of it is simply a coincidence.
Perhaps talking about it might help with solving the mystery. Theorizing with Talbott requires earning five stars within one hour. Three stars are needed to pass.
Make sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are two bonus progress actions tied to your character, so focus on those if you want to save some energy.
Since there are no Dementors or Lethifolds at St. Mungo’s, you and Talbott will figure out that the Patronus is probably protecting something else, or someone else. Either way, you’ll be determined to solve the mystery.
Talbott will be surprised to hear that you are willing to help him. He’ll wonder why you’re doing it. There are two options to reply with. If you like Talbott, it is highly recommended to pick the first option, as long as your friendship level with him is eight or higher.
You’ll suggest figuring out what the Patronus is trying to protect, and you’ll decide to go back to the place where you saw the swan Patronus and look for clues. You will need to wait three hours until you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime
Proceed to the upper floors of St. Mungo’s once the waiting time is over. One of the Healers will be curious to know why you’ve arrived. There are two options to reply with. If you don’t want to reveal the truth, you should pick the second option.
In the end, the Healer will let you take a look around, and shortly after, he will leave the place.
Talbott, and you will quickly start searching the ward. This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Talbott and the deer head. Prioritize those if you want to save as much energy as possible.
Unfortunately, you won’t find any clues. However, you will figure out that ‘R’ might be after Zenith Xeep.
Talbott will say that he wouldn’t be surprised if ‘R’ is actually planning to silence Madam Xeep. You’ll learn that Talbott is not too fond of ‘R’, to say the least.
He’ll say that he wouldn’t want to lose anyone else to ‘R’ or any other Dark Wizard Cabal, and you’ll recall what Chiara said earlier.
Talbott will thank you for being so supportive, and you’ll figure out that Jacob might be able to tell you more about ‘R’, so you’ll decide to pay him a visit.
Head to the Hospital Ward once you are ready to continue. When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. You’ll notice Penny talking to Jacob. When you approach them, she will say that she needs to deliver the rest of the get-well gifts.
You will notice that a lot of people sent Jacob get-well gifts, including one from Mad-Eye Moody, and your brother will look happy about receiving those gifts.
He will be curious why you decided to pay him a visit, and you’ll say that you want to ask him some questions about ‘R’, specifically if they would be willing to eliminate an ally to protect themselves. Jacob will wonder why you are asking him about that, and you’ll tell him about the swan Patronus you saw earlier.
Given that Jacob knows a lot about ‘R’, his experience might help you solve the mystery. Despite his reluctance about you getting involved, you’ll express concern that ‘R’ might go after Zenith Xeep.
In the end, your brother will agree to tell you about ‘R’. Talking to Jacob requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Jacob and your character, so focus on those if you want to save some energy.
You’ll learn that ‘R’ would go to great lengths to protect themselves.
According to Jacob, they are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.
He will remind you of what happened to Rakepick. This line will differ based on the choice you make in the final vault.
You’ll say that you are worried about Merula since she tried to leave ‘R’, and your brother won’t be sure if trusting Merula is a good idea. However, you’ll tell him that Merula has been helpful lately; thanks to her assistance, you were able to find out about Dai Ryusaki’s Dark Scroll.
Jacob will ask if you really trust her. There are two options to choose from. If you like Merula, it is highly recommended to pick the first option.
Either way, your brother will advise you to be careful. Suddenly, Chiara will approach and say that she has a letter for you from Merula. It seems the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts wants to meet with you at Hogwarts, a proposition Jacob won’t like. Your previous choice will take effect here.
You will need to wait four hours until Merula is ready to meet with you. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait, and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Head to the training grounds once the waiting time is over. Merula will be glad to see you.
You will be curious why she wants to meet with you, and she will say that she wants to practice some wandless magic, leaving you surprised by her response.
She will ask you to practice wandless magic with her. After that, she might be willing to talk to you. Unfortunately, you won’t have any other option, so you’ll agree to her request. Practicing wandless magic with Merula requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are bonus progress actions linked to Merula and your character. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.
In the end, Merula will end up winning against you.
She will boast about beating you. You can choose whether you want to be gracious or a sore loser. If you like Merula, it is recommended to go with the first option.
You’ll then ask her about the reason she wanted to meet with you, and after thinking about it for a moment, she will tell you that something big is soon to happen at St. Mungo’s. You’ll inform her about the swan Patronus you saw earlier, but she will say she has no idea what you are talking about. Regardless, you will tell her that you suspect that it might be related to ‘R’.
Merula will laugh after hearing your theory, but you won’t find the whole situation funny. She will simply say that you need to head back to St. Mungo’s as soon as possible.
Moments later, she will leave the training grounds. You’ll decide to heed her advice and go back to St. Mungo’s.
Proceed to the Hospital Ward when you are ready to continue. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. Jacob will ask if you learned anything from Merula.
You will tell him about the cryptic warning you received from her.
You’ll also say that she didn’t know anything about the swan Patronus you saw. Your brother will wonder if Merula was trying to keep you busy while ‘R’ was working. The choice that you’ve made previously will take effect here.
Jacob will ask if you’ve changed your mind about Merula. There are two options to reply with. If you trust Merula, it is highly recommended to pick the first option.
Shortly after, Madam Strout will approach and say that she has some good news. Listening to Madam Strout requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is not recommended to start this task if you are low on energy.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Madam Strout and one of the patients. Focus on those if you are looking to save some energy.
According to Madam Strout, Jacob can soon be discharged from St. Mungo’s, and he’ll be glad about it. Suddenly, he will start laughing.
You will immediately realize that something’s wrong. Moments later, Penny will also start laughing.
Madam Strout will quickly decide to go and get some help. Unfortunately, she will also start laughing uncontrollably.
Shortly after, Chiara will approach you. She will be confused to see everyone laughing, so she’ll ask you about it. Sadly, you won’t be sure what caused all of them to laugh.
Chiara will try talking to Madam Strout, but sadly, she won’t be able to say anything. Needless to say, the situation is pretty serious.
This will conclude Chapter 25 of Year 7. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 350 Coins and 2000 Experience Points.
Could this be the work of ‘R’? Will you be able to figure out what caused Jacob, Penny, and Madam Strout to start laughing? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
