Chapter 24 – In The Thickey Of It

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twenty-Four of Year Seven of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you met with Corey and asked her if she knew anything about Dai Ryusaki. She told you about the legend of Dai Ryusaki and the Dark Scroll. According to that legend, Ryusaki made an extremely powerful mind-enhancing potion. Because of that, he was arrested, and his creation was destroyed. However, before he was apprehended, he wrote the potion ingredients on a dark scroll and hid it away. No one has ever found that scroll, so there’s no telling if the legend is true or not. You figured out that Jacob was looking for the scroll, and he was likely injured by the protection spell that was used on it.

You went to talk to Professor Dumbledore to see if knew anything that could help your brother. After asking him about the protection spell, he realized that your brother was most likely injured by Protego Diabolica. You quickly went back to St. Mungo and told everything to Madam Strout. While waiting for news, Chiara asked every member of the Circle of Khanna to gather at the Three Broomsticks to support you. After having some butterbeer, Chiara informed you that Jacob woke up.

You rushed to St. Mungo’s and found out that, thanks to the information you provided, Healers were able to treat your brother’s injuries. You talked to Jacob and learned that he was indeed looking for Dai Ryusaki’s Dark Scroll. However, he only managed to find one half of it, so he still needs to find another half before ‘R’.

She’ll also say the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is looking into it, and in the meantime, you’ll agree to help the patients at St. Mungo’s.

You’ll ask if there’s anything you can do to assist, and she’ll suggest consulting creature experts and preparing enough Wiggenweld potion. Eager to help, you’ll gladly agree to the task.

Moments later, Madam Strout will arrive and say that you and your friends will soon receive new assignments. As it seems, you will be tending to patients in the Janus Thickey Ward.

You’ll ask her to share more about that ward, and she’ll explain that long-term patients, including a wizarding world celebrity, stay in the Janus Thickey Ward. Afterward, you’ll leave the Alchemy Room.

You will learn that the patients and their families are allowed to decorate their spaces. That way, the patients can feel at home. Madam Strout will say a few words about the current patients of the Janus Thickey Ward.

You’ll realize that the patient you’ll be caring for is none other than Zenith Xeep.

She’ll notice your shock at seeing Madam Xeep and ask if something is wrong. You’ll explain that you were present when Zenith lost her memory. Madam Strout will then ask you to elaborate on everything. Explaining what happened requires earning five stars within one hour. Three stars are needed to pass.

Madam Strout will express surprise that you were the one who apprehended Zenith Xeep and wonder why someone as wealthy and famous as Zenith would be involved in a memory-erasing scheme. You will mention not expecting to encounter her in St. Mungo’s, and interestingly, she won’t seem to recognize you.

Madam Strout will inform you that Zenith is slowly recovering from her memory loss. You’ll be surprised to hear that she’s helping someone who has caused harm. She will reply that a Healer’s job is to help others, regardless of who they are.

Madam Strout will ask if you agree with Corey about morality. There are two options to reply with. This choice is entirely up to you. If you believe that morality is a spectrum, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Madam Strout will then advise you to take some time to think about your assignment, suggesting that you talk it out with a friend. Despite her guidance, you will worry about making the wrong choice. Madam Strout will share some of her wisdom with you.

Proceed to the reception area of St. Mungo’s once you’re ready to meet with Penny. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. Penny will admit that she was impressed by the Janus Thickey Ward.

You’ll admit that you don’t know what to do. On one hand, helping Madam Xeep regain her memories could help you learn more about ‘R’’s plans. On the other hand, she might rejoin ‘R’ after regaining her memories. Penny will notice that you are bothered by the whole situation, so she will suggest that you talk to her about it. Hopefully, that will help you figure out the right answer.

Expressing your concerns requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Prompted by your curiosity, you will ask him to tell you everything. Talking to Talbott requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

As it seems, Talbott saw a ghostly swan while he was in the Alchemy Room. Since his mother’s Animagus form was a white swan, he assumed that it was her ghost. This will be the first time you’ve ever heard of a ghost taking on their Animagus form, and Talbott will say that he hasn’t heard of it either.

Following that, he’ll wonder if all he saw was a product of his imagination, and he’ll ask if you think he imagined it. There are two options to reply with. If you like Talbott, it is highly recommended to pick the second option. He will very much appreciate it if you do so.

You’ll ask Talbott if he is feeling any better after talking to you, and he will admit that he is a bit tired but feels better after the conversation. Talbott will thank you for your support and acknowledge that you’re the first person he has really opened up to lately. He’ll then ask about your brother, and you’ll mention that Jacob is getting better, prompting you to check on him. You’ll decide to bring Corey along and talk with Jacob about the Dark Scroll.

Head to the Hospital Ward once you are ready to continue. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. You will introduce Corey to your brother.

Jacob will say that he is glad to finally meet the person who was helping you, and Corey will be extremely excited about meeting your brother, regretting not bringing her camera. You will smile and mention that, thanks to Corey’s help, you will learn about Dai Ryusaki’s Dark Scroll, and Jacob will express his gratitude to her. Corey will be completely lost for words, and you will reassure her that there’s no need to be nervous.

You will then tell them about your newest assignment, surprising Corey. Jacob will ask if Zenith Xeep was the witch who used a hair potion to make Diagon Alley residents lose their memories, and you’ll nod, explaining about the stolen wand. Corey will wonder if Zenith knows anything about the Dark Scroll, and you’ll suggest discussing ‘R’ and the Dark Scroll to figure out how to stay ahead of them.

Discussing the Dark Scroll requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if your energy bar is empty.

Jacob will assume that ‘R’ was looking for the Dark Scroll in the Cursed Vaults. Corey will disagree with him and say that ‘R’ probably didn’t even know it was real until recently. Jacob will be curious to hear your opinion. There are two options to choose from. If you agree with Jacob, you should pick the first option. On the other hand, if you agree with Corey, it is recommended to go with the second option.

In any case, everyone will agree that ‘R’ is aware that the Dark Scroll is real. You’ll point out that the most important thing is to decide what to do with the scroll. Jacob will express his desire to keep it as far away from ‘R’ as possible. You’ll ask if he has the scroll on him, and he’ll reveal that he hid it in a safe place, adding that you are the only person he would give it to.

You’ll say that you cannot take the scroll, as you always seem to run into agents of ‘R’, no matter where you go. Simultaneously, both you and Jacob will suddenly gaze at Corey, and she’ll quickly realize what you’re up to.

You’ll assure Corey that you won’t force her to take the scroll if she doesn’t want to. She will smile and say that she is looking for an opportunity to help and knows the perfect place to hide the scroll.

Jacob will be unsure if giving Corey the scroll would be the best course of action, but you’ll reassure him that no one would suspect Corey of having the scroll. She will make it clear that she won’t let your brother down.

In the end, Jacob will agree to entrust Corey with the Dark Scroll, and you will advise him to rest and recover before the Wizengamot trial. He’ll smile and mention that you might be suited for a Healer, and you’ll reply that you are still considering your options. Shortly after, you’ll decide to get started on your new assignment.

She’ll think about it for a moment, but she won’t recognize your name. She will, however, promise to remember it. Madam Xeep will then ask you to call her Zenith, since all her friends do. There are two options to choose from. This choice will have an effect on how your character will call Zenith from now on, so keep that in mind when deciding which option to choose.
