Chapter 46 – Total Recall
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Forty-Six of Year Seven of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, Jacob and you had another family dinner with Peregrine. After that, you talked to some of your friends and learned that they aren’t sure if Merula should be a member of the Circle of Khanna.
After discussing the situation with them, you all agreed to have a vote that will decide whether or not Merula stays in the Circle. You went to inform her and learned that she took the Unbreakable Vow. Because of that, she was forced to work for ‘R’.
The two of you went to meet with the rest of the Circle, and after informing them about the whole situation, they voted. In the end, there were eight votes to ban Merula and eight votes to keep her, so your vote was the one that decided everything.

By the looks of it, you’ll be viewing her memories.
You’ll ask Professor Dumbledore if there’s anything you need to know about how Pensieves work, and he will explain some of the most important details.
Moments later, Olivia and you will dive into her memories. You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this task. All five stars are required to pass.
This task is vastly different from most story tasks. You will view Olivia’s memories and learn that she knew about the plan to brew the Erumpent potion.
You will also see Olivia spying on Madam Rakepick.
You’ll then see a memory of Olivia finding out about Duncan’s death.
After that, you’ll see her confronting Rakepick about her plan.
You will learn that Rakepick was the one who tampered with Olivia’s memories.
You’ll go through the memories one more time to make sure you didn’t miss anything. Once you are done, the task will be complete. Olivia will be completely shocked after witnessing her lost memories, and she will leave the Headmaster’s office without saying a word.
Professor Dumbledore will wonder why she left in such a hurry, and you’ll tell him about the memories you saw.
He will ask you about your father. You can choose to tell him the truth or keep it a secret. However, even if you pick the second option, you’ll learn that Professor Dumbledore knows your father is the leader of ‘R’, so it is recommended to be honest with him and select the first option.
By the looks of it, the Headmaster doesn’t want to inform the Ministry about your father yet.
He’ll say that he needs to take certain measures to ensure the safety of Hogwarts and its students, suggesting you talk to Olivia about her memories, and you’ll decide to visit her right away, thanking the Headmaster before leaving his office.
Go to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom when you are ready to continue. Olivia will be surprised to see you.
You’ll tell her you want to talk about her memories. You can choose how to approach the conversation. If you like Olivia, it is HIGHLY recommended to pick the first option.
Olivia will tell you it wasn’t easy watching those memories.
She’ll admit she was thinking about leaving a few times. The choice you made during one of your previous conversations will take effect here.
Shortly after, you and Olivia will get to review the memories you saw. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete this task. Three stars are required to pass.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Olivia and your character. Prioritize those actions to save energy.
You’ll learn that ‘R’ is planning to use mind control.
You won’t recall Peregrine mentioning anything about that. The following lines will differ based on whether or not you told Olivia your father is the leader of ‘R’.
You’ll decide to meet with your father and confront him about using mind control.
You will need to wait four hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Go to the Three Broomsticks once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. Peregrine will be glad to see you.
He’ll notice that something is troubling you, so he’ll ask you about it. There are two options to reply with. If you want to be nice to him, it is recommended to pick the first option.
After confronting him about his plan to use mind control, Peregrine won’t even try to deny it, deciding to tell you more about it. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete this task. Three stars are required to pass.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Peregrine and one of the students. Focus on those actions to save energy.
You’ll learn that Peregrine wants to use mind control to put retirement suggestions in Ministry officials’ heads.
Once again, your father will ask you to join ‘R’, but you won’t be able to give him an answer yet, realizing you’ll need to decide before graduation. Moments later, Peregrine will leave the place, prompting you to meet with Merula and discuss everything.
Go to the boathouse when you are ready to continue. You’ll thank Merula for agreeing to meet with you.
The following part of the conversation will be HEAVILY influenced by the decision you made near the end of the previous chapter. If you decided to ban Merula from the Circle, she’ll blame you for ruining her life and reveal that everyone is either avoiding her or being cruel to her. If you decided to keep her in the Circle, she’ll say that everyone’s being nice to her, especially Penny.
You’ll then tell Merula you need to ask her something about ‘R’and you will also say that you aren’t sure if answering your question will break her vow.
She’ll wonder why she should put herself in danger to help you. There are three options to reply with. If you and Merula are dating, it is recommended to pick the third option. Otherwise, feel free to pick one of the other two.
Merula’s response will differ depending on your vote to keep her in the Circle.
In the end, she will agree to help you, and when you ask if she knows anything about ‘R’’s plan to use mind control, Merula will deny any knowledge of it, swearing she knew nothing about it. She will also mention having two important jobs after joining ‘R’.
Learning about it is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete this task. All five stars are required to pass.

You will thank Merula for the information before leaving the place. You’ll then decide to meet with Jacob and inform him about everything you learned.
There will be a waiting period of three hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

You’ll notice that Jacob isn’t particularly bothered about ‘R’’s plan to use mind control. According to him, cleaning the Ministry of its corrupt members isn’t a bad thing. There are two options for you to reply with. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.
Your brother will also point out some interesting things.
You’ll find it odd that he changed his mind about Peregrine, but he will calmly say he had the chance to talk to your father a few times in private. You’ll assume they talked about ‘R’, but apparently that wasn’t the case. There are two options for you to reply with. If you like Jacob, it is highly recommended to pick the first option. If you choose the second one, he’ll get upset.
Moments later, he will leave the place.
Your previous choice will affect the following lines.
