Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. Penny will thank you for meeting her, and you’ll immediately notice how excited she is about the Christmas decorations. She’ll say that she absolutely loves the festive spirit and the entire holiday season. Curious, she’ll ask you which celebration you prefer — Halloween or Christmas

There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You will realize that Gryffindor’s ghost, Sir Nick, has gone missing. If he isn’t found soon, the Hogwarts staff will cancel the Christmas celebrations in order to begin a full investigation. Even more unsettling, the professors seem convinced that his disappearance is somehow tied to Christmas itself.

Penny will grow worried, and you’ll reassure her not to panic, promising that you’ll do everything you can to help find Sir Nick. Determined to act quickly, you decide the best place to start is by talking to Ben.

In the next task, some of the dialogue and place will differ slightly depending on whether or not you are a Gryffindor.

Go to the Gryffindor common room or hallway, depending on whether you are a Gryffindor or not, to continue the story.  You’ll greet Ben and ask if he’s seen Sir Nicholas recently, explaining that you heard about the situation from Professor McGonagall. Ben will nod and say that he has, which immediately prompts you to urge him to tell you everything he remembers about the last time he saw Nick.

To listen to Ben’s story, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Ben looked around nervously as he tried to recall the last time he saw Sir Nicholas. He explained that their most recent encounter had been unusual: Sir Nicholas had been arguing with the Bloody Baron. It was strange to witness, since they usually got along well, which made the situation even more concerning.

This will make it clear to you that the next person you need to speak with will be the Bloody Baron.

Ben will swallow hard and ask you if approaching the Bloody Baron will frighten you. There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

In any case, you and Ben will decide to head out to search for the Baron.

Proceed to the Potions Classroom when you are ready. Fortunately, you will find the Bloody Baron and ask if you can speak with him. Some lines of dialogue will differ depending on whether you are a Slytherin or not, but in any case, when you ask why he and Sir Nicholas had argued, he will say that it is none of your business and ask why he should tell you anything at all.

There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

You will learn that Sir Nick got emotional after arguing about the holidays and has now sulked off to the Artefact Room. You will receive different lines of dialogue depending on your year, but in any case, you and Ben will get the feeling that the Baron is hiding something, even though he will deny it. You will thank him and decide to go with Penny to the Artefact Room to see where Sir Nicholas is.

Go to the Artefact Room to continue the story. Fortunately, when you and Penny enter, Sir Nicholas will be there. When you tell him that Christmas is almost canceled, he will add that it is the last thing he needs. You will notice that he is very upset, and you and Penny will decide to talk to him to find out what is troubling him.

To discover Nick’s woes, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three five stars are required to pass.

Nicholas is worried because the Bloody Baron told him that Christmas is a holiday only for the living and that he shouldn’t celebrate it. Nicholas will add that he feels so foolish. Is the Baron right? Is Christmas not for ghosts?

There are two options to choose from. If you like Sir Nicholas, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Fortunately, you will somehow manage to lift Nicholas’s spirits, and he will say that he has a brilliant idea for something fun that both the living and the ghosts could do together. It will require getting the other ghosts on board with celebrating Christmas.

If they are willing to give it a chance, he could show them that Christmas is worth celebrating. You will be very eager to help, and he will be happy to hear that. He will then say that he will discuss it with Fat Friar and the others, while you can talk with Professor Binns and Miss Myrtle Warren, which you will gladly accept.
