Rumors of a mysterious creature lurking near the Black Lake threaten to ruin the festivities. It’s up to you to uncover the truth, protect your friends, and ensure the celebrations go on! Complete this spooky adventure to earn a magical ornate message in a bottle.

Proceed to Hagrid’s Garden when you are ready. When you arrive, you’ll greet your friends and wish them a Happy Hallowe’en! Hagrid will be truly grateful that you’ve come to help him with his Hallowe’en pumpkins, and Penny will be curious to ask what you enjoy most about the Hallowe’en season at Hogwarts.

Here, you’ll receive a few lines of dialogue depending on which Hallowe’en adventures you’ve previously completed. Either way, Penny will soon add that rumors are spreading about a strange, monstrous figure spotted skulking around the Black Lake. Naturally, you’ll want to find out more about it.

To harvest pumpkins, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Penny and Hagrid. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

Namely, a dangerous and menacing monster from the Black Lake is said to be skulking around Hogwarts. Ben’s reaction will vary slightly depending on which year you’re currently in. In any case, he’ll soon ask for your opinion — do you think you’re in danger because of the creature that’s been mentioned?

There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Following that, you’ll decide to head to the Great Hall so you don’t miss out on the Hallowe’en festivities.

Go to the Great Hall to continue the story. There, you’ll meet Murphy. If you haven’t met him before, you’ll get a few lines of introductory dialogue. In any case, you’ll all decide to discuss the rumors together a bit further.

You’ll also overhear some students talking about messages in bottles found by the Black Lake — cries for help from someone who might be in real danger. Murphy will then ask if these notes are too wild to be real, and whether this is a genuine threat or just a hoax.

However, you’ll notice that Ben seems to know something. You’ll ask him what he’s found and whether it’s connected to the Creature from the Black Lake. He’ll reply that he can’t show you here and now and will ask you to meet him later that evening.

Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready. When you arrive, Ben will tell you he hopes no one followed you. You’ll reassure him that you came alone, and you’ll receive a few lines of dialogue depending on your house and whether you’ve completed the Hogsmeade Hag adventure.

In any case, he’ll explain that last night, he stumbled across something unusual. He didn’t want to cause a commotion, so he kept it secret until now. He’s found a message in a bottle — just like the rumors described! You’ll then take the bottle from him and carefully remove the note inside.

To examine the note, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

You’ll say that there’s a lot of writing here, but most of it is illegible — you can only make out two words: HELP ME. It sounds like someone is in danger, though it’s unclear whether this could be a real plea for help or perhaps a trap.

You’ll all agree that it’s best to stick together, and then decide to search the Lakeshore for more clues to uncover the truth about the Creature from the Black Lake!

Go to the Lakeshore to continue the story. When you arrive, he will ask you, How spooked do you feel right now?

You’ll then suggest that it’s time to start searching for more clues.

To look for a creature, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll soon discover another message in a bottle, along with a trail of footprints nearby. Whatever left these prints seems to have fins and webbed feet.

This will mark the end of Part 1 of Creature from the Black Lake Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 300 Coins.
