Walkthrough
Go to the Charms Classroom to start the first task of the adventure. You will meet with Professor Flitwick, and he will explain that he has a special extracurricular assignment for you. The Daily Prophet wants to write an article about Headmaster Dumbledore, his legacy, and the influence he has on future generations of students.
Professor Flitwick elected you to represent both Hogwarts students and their opinions of the Headmaster. Your assignment will be to collect stories and testimonies about Dumbledore from across Hogwarts.

To learn more about the assignment, collect three stars within one hour.

There will be only one bonus progress action, and it is tied to Professor Flitwick. Focus on the actions tied to him to save some energy.
You will find out that you’ll need to collect stories and testimonies about Professor Dumbledore and deliver these stories to a Daily Prophet correspondent so that they can write an article about Dumbledore’s Legacy. Professor Flitwick will add that there might be a chance that you will be featured in the article as well, and that this article may make it to the front page if you perform well.

The professor will ask you what you are most looking forward to on this extracurricular assignment. Feel free to choose any option you like. It will influence some dialogue later.
You will accept the assignment and decide to interview Dumbledore himself first. Go to Dumbledore’s Office.
Professor Dumbledore will expect you, and he’ll elaborate on how the article will be more about you rather than him. He refused the previous Daily Prophet’s permission requests for writing an article about him, but this time, it aligns with his values, because journalists will now focus on the future generation of students. The professor will be eager to hear more about your plans for collecting future testimonies, but first, you’ll have to interview him.

To interview Dumbledore, collect three stars within three hours.

Two bonus actions are tied to Professor Dumbledore, and one to your character. Prioritize actions tied to the professor to save a bit of energy.
After the interview concludes, you will be puzzled by some new details about Dumbledore. Despite having an amazing life, he chose to tell you about finding a sock and a five-leafed clover once. Professor Dumbledore will explain that he values these achievements and that, as an old person, he began to value the novel achievements more than the grand ones.

He will ask about your opinion on the matter, what you value more. Choose the option you like, and Dumbledore will not mind if you disagree with him.
Professor Dumbledore will point out that other people will have different opinions about him, and each individual will have their unique answer, and some people might even shock you. You will thank Professor Dumbledore and then leave to interview Professor McGonagall. Go to the Transfiguration Classroom.
You will mention to Professor McGonagall how you didn’t expect some of the interview answers from Dumbledore, and she won’t be surprised to hear that. She will correctly assume that the Headmaster boasted about his penchant for finding lost socks, and she will explain that he is not one to oversell or brag about his successes. You will ask Professor McGonagall to interview her, and she will gladly accept.

To interview McGonagall, earn three stars within three hours.

There will be many bonus progress actions tied only to Professor McGonagall, so focus on actions tied to her to save some energy.
You will learn more about how Dumbledore ended the war, led powerful organizations, and taught at Hogwarts. She will point out that the Headmaster’s accomplishments are truly astounding, even for someone over one hundred years old.

She will then ask you which of Dumbledore’s achievements you find the most impressive. This choice won’t influence the story, so feel free to choose any option you like.
Professor McGonagall will mention that there may be even more achievements attained by the Headmaster that she herself is not aware of. Many, but not all, of his accomplishments have been recorded for posterity, and she will advise you to visit the library to find out more.
Go to the Library to start the next task. While sitting in front of the desk full of books, Merula will approach you. She’ll explain that she wanted to know who was elected to meet with the Daily Prophet correspondent to talk about Dumbledore, so she waited in the library to see who would research about the Headmaster.
At first, you’ll suspect that she’ll meddle with your assignment, but she will express her wish to help you. She’ll want to uphold the high reputation of Hogwarts in front of the press, and if Hogwarts has a high reputation, she will have a high reputation as well.

She will offer her help. If you like Merula, it’s better to pick the first option.

To research Dumbledore’s past, you’ll need to collect three stars within eight hours. Start this task when your energy bar is full.

There will be two bonus progress actions tied to Merula. Focus on actions tied to her to save some energy. You can swipe the screen left and right to see all available actions in the library.
You will be surprised that there are many controversies around Dumbledore, like when he advocated for Newton Scamander to keep his wand after Scamander endangered another student, or Dumbledore’s work with Nicholas Flamel.

You and Merula will discuss whether criticisms about Dumbledore should be hidden because it could tarnish his reputation, which would lead to tarnishing of the Hogwarts reputation as well. She will ask you whether you should hide the criticisms or not. This will only influence some dialogues later, but it won’t impact the story. Feel free to choose the option you like.
You will point out to Merula that you should show the world all the good Dumbledore did for the future, and that will outweigh his past critics’ complaints. You will then decide to interview the students, focusing on their future and how the Headmaster has influenced it. Merula will reluctantly agree, as long as Dumbledore’s reputation remains intact.
This will mark the end of Part 1 of the Dumbledore’s Legacy Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 300 Coins.
Thank you for reading.
