Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of the Dumbledore’s Legacy Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!

In the previous part, you interviewed Penny and Barnaby about how Hogwarts influenced their lives and dreams for the future. Afterwards, while your friends were gathering a larger crowd of students to be interviewed, you studied Hogwarts’s history with Lenny in the Library, and then you interviewed the Nearly Headless Nick about the students of lesser-known past that you can’t get from the books.

Lastly, you’ve interviewed the crowd of students in the Clocktower Courtyard, and now you hope you’ll have enough material to present Hogwarts in the best light for the Daily Prophet’s article.

Before entering the Three Broomsticks, you will notice a huge crowd gathered around someone. You’ll think it’s Lucius again with his smear campaign against Dumbledore, but it’s actually Hagrid. Professor Flitwick told him what Lucius was doing, so he wanted to clear the Headmaster’s name in public. You will decide to help Hagrid using the new knowledge you’ve gathered so far.

There will be only one bonus progress action, and it will be tied to Hagrid. Prioritize actions tied to him to save some energy.

You will explain to the crowd that Dumbledore, although not without fault, remains an accomplished and talented wizard. You will continue on how he has a long history of undoubtedly remarkable achievements, many of which speak to his character. Finally, you will mention how Albus Dumbledore is competent, adored by many, and an outstanding member of our Wizarding society.

Hagrid will be happy with your speech. He will invite you to help him confront Lucius. You will still have some time left before the Daily Prophet’s correspondent arrives, so you will agree to help your friend.

Hagrid will then ask you whether you should publicly shame Lucius Malfoy or not. This will influence dialogue in the next task, but it won’t impact the story in any major way.

To confront Lucius Malfoy, go to the Train Station. You and Hagrid will see him.

Depending on the choice in the previous task, you will either start a conversation with Lucius or you will start yelling in public how Lucius Malfoy is a fraud and a liar, which would make him greatly uncomfortable.

After Lucius agrees to speak with you, you will tell him that he should stop spreading lies about Dumbledore. Mr. Malfoy will not care because he has the new plan in motion. Because he will be overconfident in his victory, he will decide to explain to you his plan.

Lucius will reveal that he will publish another article in the Daily Prophet, which will destroy Dumbledore’s reputation. Shortly after, he will board the train.

Hagrid will point out that it is too late to stop the publishing of Lucius’s article. He hopes that people will care more about your article than Malfoy’s.

Hagrid will then ask you which part of your article has the best chance of beating Lucius’s article. Choose your opinion, there’s no right or wrong answer.

After the conversation with Hagrid, go to the Three Broomsticks to finally meet with the Daily Prophet’s correspondent.

The correspondent will introduce herself. Her name is Bridget Butterscotch. After some small talk, you will mention that you would like to discuss Hogwarts, its wonderful culture, and how it has influenced students for the better. This will confuse Bridget, who had hoped to get an interview about Dumbledore.

You will explain the situation and why the plan was changed. Bridget will be reluctant, almost giving up, but she will decide to give you a chance.

At the end of the interview, Bridget will be impressed. She will mention that you actually gave her exactly what she needed to complete her original goal of writing about Dumbledore, because he is inspiring for leading such an impressive place, such as Hogwarts. She will imagine the headline: “Dumbledore: Hogwarts Heroic Headmaster”. She will point out that Dumbledore’s brilliance will shine when readers see that all of Hogwarts is under his watch.

Shortly after, Bridget will ask you if you want to be on the front page. Feel free to choose the option you like more.

For the next task, go to Dumbledore’s Office. The Headmaster will mention that your Daily Prophet article has been released, and he would like to read it with you.

He will ask you whether you are nervous before reading it. Feel free to choose the option that is more likely for your character’s personality.

Dumbledore will mention that he has already read Malfoy’s article about him. He will discuss that article after reading yours.

There will be only one bonus progress action, and it will be tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

Dumbledore will read from the article: “Hogwarts and Dumbledore are both deserving of recognition and praise, beyond a shadow of a doubt, as their contributions to the wizarding world are self-evident. Written by B. Butterscotch.”

The part of the article will differ based on your decision in the previous task, whether you want to be featured on the front page.

Both you and Dumbledore will be pleased by the article and how Bridget implemented every part of your testimony. The article also went quite well in the magical community, while Lucius’s article was mocked as the “stinker of the century”, and it was swiftly pulled from print.

This will mark the end of Part 4 of Dumbledore’s Legacy Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 4 Gems, 3 Chocolate Frogs, 1000 Experience Points, and the Newspaper tappie.

The Newspaper tappie will be on the floor in the East Towers, in front of the Defence Against the Dark Arts Classroom.

Not only did you manage to present Hogwarts and Dumbledore in a good light, but you didn’t return hatred to Lucius. You’ve only focused on why you love your special place, Hogwarts, and love triumphed over hate, as Dumbledore expected.

Thank you for reading.
