Happy Anniversary, Hogwarts Part 1

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Happy Anniversary, Hogwarts Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During this adventure, you’ll learn that Hogwarts’ anniversary is approaching. You will get an exciting project from Professor Dumbledore that will pair you up with some of the Hogwarts staff.

Once you start the adventure, Professor Dumbledore will summon you to his office, so go there when you are ready.

When you arrive, the Headmaster will tell you he has some exciting news. You’ll learn that Hogwarts’ Anniversary is approaching.

Apparently, the Headmaster learned it from the portrait of Godric Gryffindor, and by the looks of it, there will be a celebration.

Professor Dumbledore will say that he has a special project for you and your friends. Learning more about this project is your next task.

To complete it, you need to earn five stars within one hour. All five stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to the Headmaster. Prioritizing it should save you a bit of energy.

You’ll learn that Professor Dumbledore wants to pair up students with some of the Hogwarts staff. That way, the students will be able to learn from their wisdom. This line will differ slightly, depending on your current progress of the main story.

Also, once you are done with your assignments, you will be rewarded with a glorious anniversary feast.

Professor Dumbledore will be curious to know what you are most looking forward to. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

You’ll then learn that your first mentor is none other than Rubeus Hagrid. Apparently, he is already waiting for you in his garden, so go there when you are ready.

Hagrid will be glad to see you. He’ll assume that you already know about Dumbledore’s special project. You will smile and say that you do.

Your friend will say that he wants to start by showing you what Hogwarts means to him.

He’ll tell you that Hogwarts is home to many beings of all kinds. And many of those beings depend on one another.

He will point at Fang and say that he depends on him for companionship. As for Fang, he depends on Hagrid for his baths.

You’ll admit you had no idea Fang took baths. Hagrid will smile and say that his dog enjoys them. He’ll say that bathing Fang can be a bit of a challenge, and he’ll ask for your help.

To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to your character. Prioritize it to save some energy.

When you are done, Fang will be all nice and clean. Hagrid will congratulate you on a job well done. He’ll say that a person can learn a bit more about their loved ones every day.

He will ask if you agree with him. There are two options to reply with. While this choice won’t have any big impact on the story, Hagrid will be glad if you say that you feel the same way, so it is somewhat recommended to pick the second option.

Hagrid will then ask you to meet him on the Foggy Moor next, so go there when you are ready.

Once you arrive, you will notice that Hagrid gathered some magical creatures.

You’ll ask if he wants to bathe all those creatures. Apparently, that’s not the case. Hagrid will explain that part of his job is to care for all the plants and creatures at Hogwarts.

And that exactly is why Hogwarts is so special to Hagrid. He got the opportunity to make a living doing something he loves.

You’ll then get to learn about the creatures Hagrid gathered. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Hagrid and all three magical creatures. Focus on those actions to save energy.

Once you are done, you’ll go over the things you need to do. First, you’ll have to assess the Leucrotta and find out what’s wrong with it. Next, you’ll determine which food to feed the Dugbog. Lastly, you will calm the Augurey so Hagrid can administer a bit of medicine.

Before you get started, Hagrid will decide to quiz you to make sure you were paying attention. He’ll ask you about Dugbog’s favorite food. There are three options to choose from. The correct answer is ‘Mandrake’.

Hagrid will then tell you to look at the Leucrotta and see if you can determine how to help it. If you completed Brush Up Your Leucrotta side quest, you’ll get an additional line of dialogue here.

To assess the Leucrotta, you’ll need to complete a focus task.

Next, you will need to consider the food options and figure out what kind of food you should feed the Dugbog. If you completed A Dugbog’s Delight side quest, you will get an additional dialogue line.

Considering food options is another focus task.

Lastly, you’ll be tasked with calming down the Augurey while Hagrid prepares its medicine. If you completed Magical Birds of a Feather side quest, you’ll get an additional dialogue line.

Trace the path on the screen to complete this task.

When you’re done, you’ll admit that working with creatures can be challenging. Hagrid will say that caring for Hogwarts creatures is very important to him. He’ll decide to tell you why that is the case.

While he was young, Hagrid was an orphan. Dumbledore took him in and set him up as gamekeeper, so Hogwarts became his home. His job gave him the opportunity to return the favor by caring for creatures and giving them a safe place to call home.

Hagrid will then tell you to come to his hut. Go there when you are ready to continue.

When you arrive, you’ll ask Hagrid about the final task he has for you. He will smile and say that he wants you to enjoy a fresh, warm cup of tea.

Drinking tea with Hagrid requires earning five stars within one hour. Three stars are needed to pass.

There is an action with bonus progress tied to Hagrid. Prioritize it to save energy.

You’ll thank Hagrid for his words of wisdom. According to him, the most important thing in life is doing what you love and making sure to slow down and enjoy it.

He will be curious to know what you enjoyed most about your time together. There are three options to choose from. If you like Hagrid, it is recommended to select the first option.

You’ll then learn that your next mentor is Professor McGonagall.
