Hogsmeade Festival Part 4

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for the Hogsmeade Festival Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you met Ismelda in the Great Hall and confronted her about Annalena. Sadly, she didn’t want to admit that the two of them are sisters, so she left without giving you much information. While she was leaving, she dropped a letter bearing the Ministry of Magic letterhead.

Interestingly enough, the letter was blank, so you figured out that the message is somehow concealed or erased. You went to Professor Flitwick to ask him for help. Thankfully, he taught you the revealing charm, Aparecium. Once you cast it, the message appeared on the letter. You learned that Annalena was telling the truth when she said she was Ismelda’s sister.

You went to look for Ismelda and found her hiding inside the barrel in the Hog’s Head Inn. You managed to convince her to tell you the truth, and as it turned out, she was the one who sabotaged the Hogsmeade Festival. While you were there, Annalena and your friends arrived, and she heard Ismelda saying some bad things about her. She got mad and left the place.

(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 4 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.)

You decided to try to help Ismelda and Annalena repair their relationship. However, in order to do that, you will need to stop the train from leaving the Hogsmeade Station. Proceed there when you are ready. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

Barnaby will inform you that the train is about the leave the station. In other words, you’ll need to stop it before that happens. The following line will differ, based on the choice you made while talking to Barnaby and Liz earlier.

Barnaby will seem as ready as ever. What follows is a rather funny conversation during which you’ll try to get him to release the Matagots.

Eventually, Barnaby will release the Matagots, and the creatures will give the conductor a proper scare.

This will give you a chance to get on the train without a ticket. To do that, you will need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There is a bonus progress action tied to your character. Prioritize it to save a bit of energy.

In the end, you’ll decide to get on the train through the door. Barnaby will advise you to hurry. Unfortunately, you’ll be spotted by the conductor before you get to enter the train.

You’ll tell him that you need to get on the train. Before letting you enter, he’ll ask to see your ticket. There are three options for you to choose from. If you pick the first or the second one, the conductor won’t let you on the train, and you’ll be brought back to this selection screen. In other words, you’ll need to pick the third option to convince the conductor to let you enter the train.

Get on the train when you are ready to talk to Annalena. Once you enter, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

Thankfully, you’ll be able to find Annalena. She won’t look particularly happy to see you. You’ll tell her that you want to talk about Ismelda. She won’t feel like talking about what happened.

She’ll remind you that Ismelda tried to ruin her life. Still, you won’t be willing to give up easily. Convincing Annalena requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

There is a bonus progress action tied to your character. Focus on it to save energy.

You’ll try your best to convince Annalena to fix the relationship with her sister. You will say that Ismelda told you something she should hear.

Thankfully, Annalena will agree to hear you out. You will start explaining.

You’ll ask her if she really told her friends she was an only child.

She’ll be surprised that her sister knew about that. You will tell her that it really hurt Ismelda.

Annalena will explain that she was only trying to fit in. She’ll say that it was never her intention to hurt Ismelda. You will advise her to get off the train and talk to her sister.

Annalena won’t be sure if that is a good idea. There are two options for you to convince her. If you pick the second one, Annalena will later realize that you’ve tricked her, and she won’t be too happy about it. Because of that, it is recommended to go with the first option.

In the end, you’ll manage to convince Annalena to talk to Ismelda. You’ll notice the conductor approaching, so you’ll quickly tell Annalena to meet you at Madam Puddifoot’s tea shop.

Go there when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. You’ll thank Annalena for agreeing to meet with her sister. Your previous choice will take effect here.

Moments later, Ismelda will show up. She won’t look too happy to see her sister. If you told Annalena earlier that Ismelda wants to meet with her, she will realize that you tricked her, and she won’t be too happy about it. You’ll say that the two of them should talk to each other. Unfortunately, neither of them will be willing to start the conversation, so you’ll be the one to do it.

To do that, you will need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass. Because of that, it is not recommended to start this task if you are out of energy.

Make sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Penny and Ismelda. Prioritizing those should save you some energy.

You’ll tell them that refusing to talk to each other will lead them nowhere. Ismelda will be the first one to apologize. Her sister will be surprised to hear that. Unfortunately, that apology won’t really be sincere.

The choice that you made while talking to Penny during the previous part of the adventure will take effect here.

In the end, both of them admit that they’ve made some mistakes.

Annalena will say that she cannot change the past. However, that doesn’t mean she can’t control the future. Ismelda won’t be sure what to do next. Annalena will suggest being civil, at least. Her sister will agree with her.

You’ll be glad to hear that. Ismelda will wonder what to do. There are three options for you to reply with. It is recommended to pick the first option here. If you do that, both of them will decide to stay in touch and write letters to one another.

Annalena will thank you for everything you’ve done. Shortly after, she will say goodbye to her sister and leave the place. Ismelda will tell you that she has a hard time dealing with feelings.

She won’t be sure if the conversation helped her relationship with Annalena or not. There are three options for you to reply with. It is recommended to go with the first or the third option.

Ismelda will say that she understands her sister better. She’ll thank you for everything you did. You will humbly say you’re happy to help. You’ll realize that the Hogsmeade Festival is going to start soon. Shortly after, you will leave Madam Puddifoot’s tea shop.

Head to the Festival Grounds when you are ready to continue. Once you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. You’ll be surprised to see that all the damage has been fixed. The friend you chose to assist you with the investigation will say that it is all thanks to you. After all, you saved the festival from being shut down. On top of that, with everything back to normal, Annalena will likely receive her promotion.

Shortly after, you and your friends will get to enjoy the festival. To complete this task, you’ll need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

As always, prioritize the actions with bonus progress to save energy.

The Hogsmeade Festival will turn out to be a huge hit. You’ll decide to visit the booth you chose during the first part of the adventure.

The following section will differ, based on the choice you made. The shopkeeper will be glad to see you.

You’ll say that you’ve been looking forward to visiting their booth.

The shopkeeper will say that all of Hogsmeade decided to get you a special gift for saving the festival.

You will receive a miniature fireworks display.

You’ll thank the shopkeeper for the wonderful gift. Moments later, your friend will arrive to inform you that the fireworks show is about to start. Shortly after, you and your friends will enjoy the fireworks together.

This will conclude Part 4 of the Hogsmeade Festival adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 1000 Experience Points, 3 Chocolate Frogs, and an Enchanted Hogsmeade Figurine that will appear in your Dormitory.

You’ll earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

Now, that was quite an adventure. Thanks to your efforts, the Hogsmeade Festival was saved, and you received a thoughtful gift to remind you of it. More importantly, you helped Ismelda and Annalena realize their mistakes and mend their broken relationship.
