Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for A Special Celebration of Hogwarts Teachers Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you decided to interview some of the professors to learn more about Professor McGonagall.

You talked to Professor Quirrell, Madam Hooch, and Professor Sprout, and you learned some interesting things about the subject of your presentation. You also continued your game of wizard chess, and now is the time to resume where you left off.

Upon starting this part, you will be met with a waiting period of four hours. Since you’ll likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 2 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.

Head to the Potions classroom once the waiting time is over. You will tell Penny how impressed you are by Professor McGonagall. She is definitely one of the wisest and most knowledgeable people you know.

Penny will agree with you. Still, you will be unsure about the presentation. You definitely want to make sure you properly honor her.

Penny will say that you are on the right track by interviewing the teachers and playing wizard chess with McGonagall. You’ll tell her about what the Professor said earlier.

Snape will approach you and say that you should focus on the matters at hand. You will get startled by his sudden arrival.

Professor Snape will notice that you are very absent-minded. He will ask you to focus on brewing the potion during his class.

Penny will agree with him. After all, you are worrying too much about the presentation, and you should follow McGonagall’s advice and focus on the present. You will nod in agreement.

Reviewing Wiggenweld Potion is your next task. You need to earn five stars within an hour to complete it. Three stars are needed to pass for students up to Year 5 Chapter 16. All five stars are required to pass for students past Year 5 Chapter 17.

You should easily be able to complete this task with a single energy bar. Also, there is a bonus progress action linked to Penny, so prioritize it when it’s available if you want to save some energy.

Once you’re done brewing the potion, Penny will say that you just need to wait for it to cool down. You’ll ask if she is sure that the potion is brewed properly.

Penny will tell you she’s absolutely certain about it. You’ll admit you are slightly worried since it wouldn’t be the first time you were clumsy when it comes to brewing potions.

This will remind you of the game of wizard chess you’re playing with Professor McGonagall. You’ll constantly think about doing things properly and not disappointing her.

Professor Snape will approach and say that Professor McGonagall has the utmost respect for the people who don’t quit, and he completely agrees with her when it comes to that. He’ll wonder if you are thinking about giving up on your presentation.

The Professor will ask if you are a failure. There are two options to choose from. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to pick either option.

In his own way, Snape will advise you to stop worrying about things and focus on making a proper presentation. You will think about the things he said.

Penny will simply say that Professor Snape can sometimes be a bit rough. Still, she is certain that you should be encouraged by his words to do your best.

Penny will also tell you to have some fun playing wizard chess with McGonagall. You’ll agree with her. After all, you’re the only student who got the opportunity to play wizard chess with the Professor.

Penny will be happy that you finally realized that. She will be certain that Professor McGonagall believes in you.

You will instantly think of a person who might have the answers you need. That person is none other than Professor Dumbledore.

Proceed to the Headmaster’s office when you are ready to continue. You will thank Professor Dumbledore for taking the time to see you. As it seems, he was planning to talk to you anyway.

The Headmaster will say that he’s been hearing various rumors about you, which is why he wanted to have a talk.

He will ask if you have any idea why he wants to talk to you. There are two options to choose from. Both of these will lead to a similar outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

In any case, he wanted to talk with you about your presentation on Professor McGonagall. You will tell him you want to do your best to properly honor the Professor during the celebration, which is why you were talking to the people who know her best.

Professor Dumbledore will say he is familiar with that. He’ll be happy that you decided to learn more about Professor McGonagall. He’ll even commend you for it.

You’ll tell him you have some questions for him about the subject of your presentation, especially since he knows her the longest.

The Headmaster will nod and say that he knows quite a lot about Professor McGonagall.

He’ll tell you he was one of her teachers during her student days. You’ll ask the Headmaster if he could tell you more about her.

Professor Dumbledore will be more than happy to help. Interviewing the Headmaster requires earning five stars within three hours (eight hours for Year 4+ students). Three stars are needed to pass for students of Year 2-3. All five stars are required to pass for Year 4+ students.

The only action with bonus progress here is linked to your character, so prioritize your own actions if you are looking to save a bit of energy.

According to Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall is an incredibly wise person. He’ll also say that she is a master of magic.

You will ask if he knew she was going to teach at Hogwarts after she graduated. The Headmaster will tell you that prior to joining the staff at Hogwarts, Minerva McGonagall was working at the Ministry of Magic.

You will be surprised to learn that she worked for the Ministry. You’ll assume that a lot of people were happy when she decided to become a teacher at Hogwarts.

Professor Dumbledore will nod and point out that Professor McGonagall is one of the most dedicated and trustworthy people he knows.

He will admit he has so much fate in her, he would entrust Hogwarts to her in his absence. This will further motivate you to make your presentation as good as possible. The Headmaster will share some of his wisdom with you.

You will thank him for everything. Professor Dumbledore will wish you the best of luck before you leave.

By the looks of it, it is time to continue your interview with Professor McGonagall. Proceed to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready to continue your game of wizard chess.

You will say that the game you’re playing is very challenging. Professor McGonagall will say she intended it to be that way.

You’ll say that Professor Dumbledore told you some nice things about her. The Professor will feel honored by being complimented by the Headmaster. After all, he is currently one of the most powerful wizards.

You will be curious if you will ever be able to reach his level of skill. Professor McGonagall will share some of her wisdom with you.

She’ll ask you about what’s needed to become a master of magic. There are three options to choose from. While this choice won’t change the story in any big way, the Professor will react best if you pick the first option.

Professor McGonagall will point out that one does not simply become a master of magic overnight.

Mastering magic takes time and dedication, and if you are to become one, you’ve yet to learn many things and face plenty of challenges along the way.

You’ll nod and say how fascinated you were by learning things about her. You will admit you were very surprised to find out she had a Muggle parent.

She will simply say it is a fact. There are plenty of other witches and wizards who had a Muggle parent.

You’ll also say you were impressed to learn about her accomplishments from her student days. She will wonder if there’s something you want to ask her.

You’ll tell her you’d like to hear more about those things directly from her. Professor McGonagall will agree to discuss it with you while you play.

Needless to say, you’ll be quite excited to hear things from her point of view. This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass for students up to Year 5 Chapter 16. All five stars are required to pass for students past Year 5 Chapter 17.

There are bonus progress actions linked to your character and Professor McGonagall. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

When you are done, you will thank her for talking to you about the things you’ve learned so far. Professor McGonagall will assume there is something else you want to ask her. You’ll nod and say there’s one thing you are curious about.

You will tell her you were surprised she decided to switch careers and become a Hogwarts teacher after working in the Ministry of Magic. You’ll ask if she was planning to do that in the first place.

She will be surprised by your question. Still, you will point out that she was very successful at everything she’s done so far… even in your game of wizard chess.

Professor McGonagall will tell you there’s still much for you to learn. You’ll ask her again about leaving the Ministry. She will simply say she worked there for a year before deciding to become a teacher.

You’ll be slightly disappointed by her answer since you expected there was some other reason behind her decision to leave the Ministry of Magic.

Once again, the Professor will share her wisdom with you.

She will remind you that you’ll soon have to decide what to say during your presentation. She’ll also point out that you are in check.

You’ll take a look at the board and realize you’re in a difficult position. Still, the game isn’t over just yet. There’s still a chance for you to turn things around during your final chess session.
