Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for A Special Celebration of Hogwarts Teachers Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you talked to Penny during one of the Potions classes about the things you’ve learned about Professor McGonagall so far.

While you did learn quite a bit about her, you were still unsure if you have what it takes to make a presentation that will honor the Professor properly. Professor Snape advised you to stop worrying and focus on the present.

Later on, you went to see the Headmaster, and he also told you some interesting things about the subject of your presentation. Lastly, you went to see Professor McGonagall and continued your game of wizard chess.

Now is the time to finalize your presentation. Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready.

Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 2 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.

Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. You will thank your friends for meeting you.

They will be curious to know why you wanted to meet with them. Penny will assume it has something to do with the Teacher Appreciation Celebration.

You will nod and say you are still unsure about some parts of your presentation on Professor McGonagall.

You’ll want to go over the things you’ve learned so far, and hear their opinions before finalizing everything. Your Hufflepuff friend will be more than willing to help.

As for Merula, she won’t seem too excited about it. You will tell her that you want to hear things from other people’s perspectives. Only that way you will be able to make a good enough presentation.

Hagrid will be curious to know if there’s anything he can do to help. You’ll point out that he’s part of Hogwarts staff, which makes his opinion highly valuable.

He will nod and say he’s happy to give his opinion on the matter. You’ll then get to discuss things you’ve learned about Professor McGonagall with them.

This requires earning five stars within one hour (three hours for Year 4+ students). One star is needed to pass for Year 2-3 students. All five stars are required to pass for Year 4+ students.

The only bonus progress action here is linked to your character. Prioritize it if you want to save a bit of energy.

Hagrid will say that you’ve learned quite a lot about Professor McGonagall. You will nod and ask each of them to share their opinions with you.

Hagrid will say that Professor McGonagall is very wise and trustworthy. What Merula likes about her is that she is competitive and tenacious. As for Penny, she admires that the Professor is humane and devoted.

You will notice that all those things together perfectly describe Professor McGonagall. Still, you will have to choose the most important qualities to showcase.

There are three options to choose from. Keep in mind that this choice will affect some of the dialogue later on, but it won’t change the outcome of the adventure, so you can freely pick the option you deem the most appropriate.

Penny will be glad that you’re finally ready for your presentation. As for Merula, she will go back to her usual self.

You will smile and thank all of them for helping you finalize your presentation. Hagrid will give you some words of encouragement before you go.

You will have to wait three hours until the celebration starts. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy replenish in the meantime.

Proceed to the Great Hall once the waiting time is over. When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

You will arrive just in time to see Penny wrapping up her presentation on Professor Snape.

Her kind words will leave the Potions Master speechless. Merula will find that quite funny.

As for your Hufflepuff friend, she will be very pleased with the way things went during her presentation.

You’ll realize it’s almost time for your presentation. Penny will ask if you are nervous about it. There are two options to choose from. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

Before you start, Penny will tell you to remember Hagrid’s advice and speak from the heart.

The Headmaster will announce it’s time for the presentation on the guest of honor – Professor Minerva McGonagall. He’ll kindly ask you to step forward and begin your presentation.

Shortly after, you will begin. Doing your presentation on Professor McGonagall requires earning five stars within three hours (eight hours for Year 4+ students). All five stars are needed to pass.

There is a bonus progress action linked to your character. Focus on it whenever it is available if you want to save some energy.

Once you are done, you will start wrapping things up. You will point out some important things about Professor McGonagall.

The choice that you’ve made in the courtyard will take effect here. The following lines will differ, depending on the option you selected.

Some of the other Professors will also say a few words. This part will also differ, depending on the choice you’ve made in the courtyard.

The Headmaster will ask if there’s anything else you’d like to say. You will go on and point out the importance of teachers such as Professor McGonagall.

Every single person in the Great Hall will be moved by your words.

Lastly, you will express your gratitude to all of the teachers, especially Professor McGonagall. Hagrid will be the first one to loudly cheer on that.

Before long, everyone will start applauding. You will notice a smile on Professor McGonagall’s face.

The Headmaster will be very pleased with your presentation. All of the professors will be impressed by everything you said about their colleague.

You’ll thank everyone for their kind words. Professor Sprout will suggest joining the feast. Moments later, Professor McGonagall will thank you for making a lovely presentation on her.

You’ll humbly say you hope you did well. The Professor will nod and say you did more than well. You’ll admit you are relieved that you’re finally done.

Professor McGonagall will smile and remind you that you’ve yet to finish your wizard chess game.

Proceed to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready to continue. You’ll find it hard to believe that you’ll soon be done playing wizard chess with the Professor.

She will say she’s glad you’ve managed to salvage the situation and get out of the check you were in previously.

You will thank her for helping you prepare for the presentation. You’ll also point out that you were the only student that got the chance to play wizard chess with their assigned teacher.

Professor McGonagall will be happy knowing you’ve enjoyed the game. She’ll also say she liked the highlight of your presentation. The choice that you’ve made in the courtyard will take effect here.

You’ll reply by saying you only collected the information from others and used it during your presentation.

She will point out that you also showed a lot of respect for all of the other teachers as well. That was her favorite part of the presentation.

She will be curious to know about your favorite part of the whole experience. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to choose whichever option you prefer.

Professor McGonagall will be interested to hear about your interactions with other teachers. You’ll happily agree to tell her about them.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass for Year 2-3 students. All five stars are required to pass for Year 4+ students.

There are actions with bonus progress linked to Professor McGonagall and your character, which should make this task slightly easier to complete.

You will point out that Professor McGonagall’s friends and the other teachers highly appreciate her. She’ll tell you she’s very grateful for that and the whole celebration.

She’ll also say she realizes she didn’t make the interview process easy on you. You will smile and quote something she told you earlier.

Professor McGonagall will say there was a reason behind it. She’ll admit she lost someone very dear not too long ago, which made it difficult for her to open up and speak about her past.

You will be very sorry to hear that. She will thank you and say that she normally doesn’t share personal matters with students.

However, you’ve also suffered a loss in life, which is why she wanted to tell you about it. Once again, Professor McGonagall will share her wisdom with you.

You’ll be curious about it. The Professor will explain the reasoning behind her words. She’ll say that people often encounter obstacles in life they didn’t expect.

She will add that learning from your actions and moving forward is what matters the most.

You will thank her for her advice. She’ll remind you it’s time for your next move. You will think for a while and decide to move your Knight to H-3.

Upon looking at the board, you will realize that you’re in checkmate.

Professor McGonagall will decide to give you something. She will present you with one of her wizard chess boards.

You will be speechless by this kind gesture. She will smile and say that you’ve earned it.
