You’ll also notice that there are a lot of ghosts in the Great Hall. Sir Nicholas will greet you warmly.

You’ll be curious to know why he wants to see you. He’ll inform you that he needs your assistance with something exceptional. The following lines will differ slightly, based on the house you’re in.

Nearly Headless Nick will tell you that his Deathday will be very soon… precisely on October 31st. And by the looks of it, he plans to host a Deathday party. You’ll find it odd that Nick wants to celebrate the day he died.

He will try to explain that Deathday isn’t the end, but the beginning for ghosts, hence the reason for the celebration. Unfortunately, he cannot plan everything on his own, which is why he needs your assistance.

As for the matter at hand, firstly, you’ll need to inform others about Sir Nicholas’ Deathday party.

You’ll ask him who to talk to first. Nick will look around for a bit before deciding.

He’ll ask the Fat Friar for a moment of his time. Unfortunately, the Friar will be quite busy with something and will leave the Great Hall shortly after.

The Friar will smile and nod. He’ll tell you that a very special ghost will be visiting Hogwarts fairly soon. By the looks of it, this doesn’t happen often.

The Fat Friar will then ask you for advice. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to go with whichever option you want.

The Fat Friar will sum things up once he’s done filling you in. You will learn that Erling the Great is a special kind of storyteller. He is known for sharing stories about the most noteworthy locations in Wizarding history.

On top of that, Erling the Great is one of the most famous ghosts in the Wizarding World. You’ll also learn that the Fat Friar was friends with Erling the Great ever since both of them were alive.

Also, this is the first time he’ll be visiting Hogwarts, which is why the Friar is so worried.

Once again, you will tell him about Sir Nicholas’ Deathday party. Perhaps it would be a good idea to invite Erling to it?

The Fat Friar will think about it, but with everything going on, he’ll be too busy to promise anything.

You’ll ask if there’s anything you can do to help. As a matter of fact, there is something you can do. The Friar will need your help with finding a suitable place for Erling to haunt.

He’ll happily greet the Fat Friar. The Friar will be delighted to see his old friend again.

Erling will ask if you are familiar with the ghosts. There are three options to respond with. If you want to please him, it is recommended to pick the third option. However, you can still feel free to choose whichever option you want since this choice won’t significantly impact the story.

The Fat Friar will suggest discussing Nick’s Deathday party later. As it seems, Erling’s Deathday is exactly the same as Nick’s… on October 31st.
