Upon arriving, you will get to interact with some of the students and see what they have to say.

You’ll also notice that there are a lot of ghosts in the Great Hall. Sir Nicholas will greet you warmly.

You’ll be curious to know why he wants to see you. He’ll inform you that he needs your assistance with something exceptional. The following lines will differ slightly, based on the house you’re in.

Nearly Headless Nick will tell you that his Deathday will be very soon… precisely on October 31st. And by the looks of it, he plans to host a Deathday party. You’ll find it odd that Nick wants to celebrate the day he died.

He will try to explain that Deathday isn’t the end, but the beginning for ghosts, hence the reason for the celebration. Unfortunately, he cannot plan everything on his own, which is why he needs your assistance.

You’ll be more than willing to help in any way you can. You will ask him more about the party.

As for the matter at hand, firstly, you’ll need to inform others about Sir Nicholas’ Deathday party.

You’ll ask him who to talk to first. Nick will look around for a bit before deciding.

He’ll ask the Fat Friar for a moment of his time. Unfortunately, the Friar will be quite busy with something and will leave the Great Hall shortly after.

Sir Nicholas will find this very unusual and he’ll ask you to follow the Fat Friar and see what’s going on.

The Fat Friar will admit he’s very busy with something, which is why he cannot think about anything else.

You’ll be curious to know if it has something to do with whatever the other ghosts are talking about.

The Friar will smile and nod. He’ll tell you that a very special ghost will be visiting Hogwarts fairly soon. By the looks of it, this doesn’t happen often.

The Fat Friar will then ask you for advice. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to go with whichever option you want.

You’ll ask the Friar to tell you more about this ghost that will be visiting Hogwarts.

He’ll say that the visitor is none other than Erling the Great. The Friar will decide to tell you more about him.

This requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

The Fat Friar will sum things up once he’s done filling you in. You will learn that Erling the Great is a special kind of storyteller. He is known for sharing stories about the most noteworthy locations in Wizarding history.

On top of that, Erling the Great is one of the most famous ghosts in the Wizarding World. You’ll also learn that the Fat Friar was friends with Erling the Great ever since both of them were alive.

Also, this is the first time he’ll be visiting Hogwarts, which is why the Friar is so worried.

Once again, you will tell him about Sir Nicholas’ Deathday party. Perhaps it would be a good idea to invite Erling to it?

The Fat Friar will think about it, but with everything going on, he’ll be too busy to promise anything.

You’ll ask if there’s anything you can do to help. As a matter of fact, there is something you can do. The Friar will need your help with finding a suitable place for Erling to haunt.

You’ll decide to ask Penny for advice. Perhaps she could help you. When you are ready, proceed to the Courtyard to meet with Penny.

Your Hufflepuff friend will ask you to tell her what’s going on. You’ll explain that you are helping Nearly Headless Nick organize his Deathday party.

You will also tell her about the special ghost that is soon to visit Hogwarts. Penny will be curious to know more about this visitor. You’ll quickly tell her more.

Penny will then ask you an interesting question. There are three options to respond with. Feel free to pick the one you prefer since this choice won’t have any big impact on the story.

When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say.

You will happily inform the Friar about the results of your brainstorming with Penny.

The Friar will agree that the Artefact Room is the perfect place for Erling to haunt. You will ask if he’ll be able to attend Nick’s Deathday party now that the matter is settled.

Unfortunately, before you get the answer, one of the ghosts will announce the arrival of Erling the Great.

The Friar will be surprised to hear this since Erling wasn’t supposed to arrive until the next day. Moments later, Erling the Great will make a marvelous entrance.

He’ll happily greet the Fat Friar. The Friar will be delighted to see his old friend again.

Shortly after, he will introduce you to Erling. He’ll also mention that you’re the one who found him the place to haunt during his stay at Hogwarts. Erling the Great will thank you for that.

He’ll also say that you remind him of a certain student he met during his recent visit to Beauxbatons.

You’ll ask if there is any way he prefers to be addressed. He’ll chuckle and say that you can call him Erling the Great.

Erling will ask if you are familiar with the ghosts. There are three options to respond with. If you want to please him, it is recommended to pick the third option. However, you can still feel free to choose whichever option you want since this choice won’t significantly impact the story.

duelling deathday parties part 1 1250

The Fat Friar will suggest discussing Nick’s Deathday party later. As it seems, Erling’s Deathday is exactly the same as Nick’s… on October 31st.

You will suggest celebrating both Deathdays together. Unfortunately, Erling the Great won’t really like that idea.
