Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for New Arrivals Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Professor Dumbledore will give you a special responsibility to ensure that Hogwarts’ newest first-year students have a safe and magical journey to Hogwarts.

(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.)
Go to Dumbledore’s Office where you will meet the Headmaster. You’ll meet him because he wrote you a letter saying he needed you.
Dumbledore will confirm the reason he invited you and explain that a new class of students will soon journey to Hogwarts for the first time aboard the Hogwarts Express.
The Headmaster is looking for someone to help ensure new first-years have a safe and pleasant journey. The following lines of dialogue may differ depending on whether you are a Prefect or Head Boy/Head Girl, or none of it, during this adventure.
You will eagerly accept the new task. Before you begin, you’ll need to review the steps a first-year must complete in their voyage to Hogwarts. According to Professor Dumbledore, this will help you understand your role in making their journey a sufficiently magical experience. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.
Bonus progress actions are tied to Professor Dumbledore and your character. Prioritize these actions to save a bit of energy.
You will find out that you’ll be assisting at several stages of the first-year’s journey to Hogwarts. You’ll help the Trolley Witch serve treats on the train, and lead the first-years to Hagrid at Hogsmeade Station. You will remind yourself about the third stage.
You will be surprised how long ago your sorting ceremony was held. The following line of dialogue will differ based on your year at Hogwarts.
The Headmaster will explain that students’ first voyage to Hogwarts is a defining moment in their magical journey and it ought to be full of happy memories. He’ll then ask you what is your fondest memory from your own first journey. Feel free to choose the option you like. This choice will have some minor influence on dialogue later, but it won’t affect the story.
The professor will advise you to remember memories you are fond of when you welcome the new first-years, so you can understand how they feel.
Your first task will be to help select sweets for the Honeydukes Express. You will remember that Honeydukes Express is the food trolley the Trolley Witch uses on the Hogwarts Express.
Professor Dumbledore will tell you that when the Trolley Witch arrives at Hogsmeade, you will meet her and Ambrosius Flume at Honeydukes. Go to the Honeydukes next to follow Dumbledore’s instructions. Once you are there, you will meet the Trolley Witch and you will introduce yourself.
The Trolley Witch will explain the reason why there are no more customers around.
You will be her assistant to help her select and acquire sweets for her trolley on the Hogwarts Express. Before you begin, she’ll need to evaluate your knowledge of wizarding sweets. She will ask you which sweet will make your teeth “chatter and squeak”. The correct answer is “Ice Mice”.
The Trolley Witch will explain that her trolley features a wide variety of snacks, treats, and sweets, and every year, she adds something new. That way, her trolley never fails to surprise and delight. You’ll ask her what she’ll add to the trolley this year. She will point out that she needs your advice after you evaluate Honeydukes’ latest offerings.
To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start this task with a full energy bar.
Bonus progress actions are tied to the Trolley Witch, to a row of grey lollipops, and to the shelves near lollipops. Prioritize these actions to save a bit of energy. Don’t forget to slide the screen left and right to check all available options.
After you’ve looked at plenty of new offerings from Ambrosius, the Trolley Witch will ask you which new sweet will first-years like the most. This choice will influence which sweets you’ll offer during the next task, but aside from that, it won’t influence the overall story. Feel free to choose the option you like.
The Trolley Witch will thank you for your help. She will tell you to go to the Hogwarts Express and meet her on board when it’s time.
