[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Hogwarts graduate. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]
Go to the Hogwarts Express to continue the story. Once you are there, you can check what new students have to say by tapping on the speech bubbles above their heads. Slide the screen to the right to check all available options.
The Trolley Witch will welcome you. If you’ve completed the “Ticket to Love” adventure, you will have additional lines of dialogue.
The Trolley Witch will inform you that the trolley is packed to the brim with delightful treats. She always brings along more than she needs, just in case some enterprising student decides to buy the whole lot, but she’ll need your help serving so many students. You will gladly accept.
To serve the First-Year students, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass.
There are plenty of bonus progress actions during this task and they are tied to all three students near you and to your character.
You will finally finish serving the entire car and you will feel exhausted.
Shortly after, three students will approach you. They have a debate about what the first days in Hogwarts will look like. One eager student thinks that the first days will be more fun than anything, another student will think it will be challenging and one student thinks it will be dangerous.
You can give your opinion. This choice won’t have a significant impact on the story so feel free to choose the option you like.
You will point out to students that they’ll make many new memories once they get to Hogwarts. You will share your fond memories when you were in the First Year, which depends on your previous choice in part one of this adventure.
Shortly after, you will point out that the train will soon arrive at Hogsmeade Station. The students will thank you for your conversation and kindness.
Go to the Hogsmeade Train Station to hand the first-years off to Hagrid. Once you are there, you can check the speech bubbles for additional dialogue with students. While you wait for Hagrid to arrive, one nervous student will approach you.
He’ll say that he has many questions for you and he gained the courage to ask you because you were kind and honest before. You will decide to hear his concerns and reassure him until Hagrid arrives. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass (all five stars for students of Year 5+).
Bonus progress actions are tied to the nervous student you are talking with. Prioritize his actions to save a bit of energy.
You will find out that he is a Muggle-born and that’s why he doesn’t know much about the wizarding world.
This student will remind you of your friend Ben. Your comment about Ben will differ based on your progress in the main story.
You will reassure the young wizard that he is not the only one who can be nervous at Hogwarts and everyone is welcome.
The nervous student will feel much better but he will still have the feeling he got his Hogwarts letter by mistake. You will explain that no one gets invited to Hogwarts by mistake. If you complete the “A Letter from Hogwarts” adventure, you will have additional lines of dialogue.
Then young wizard will still lack confidence because he can’t perform even the simplest spells like Lumos. You will tell him that he just needs some good advice. Feel free on which advice to give him. This choice won’t have an impact on the story.
Shortly after, you and the student will try to perform Lumos together.
Because you won’t be there for him to help him with all the lessons, he will ask you what is the most important part of improving one’s magic. Feel free to choose the option you like.
The young student will thank you for your help and he will promise you he’ll follow your advice. Shortly after, Hagrid will arrive. He will remember the time when he was preparing you for the trip across the Black Lake.
Shortly after, he will call first-year students to come with him to the boats.
This will mark the end of Part 2 of the New Arrivals Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 2 Gems.
A wonderful journey awaits new wizards and witches and they will see the Hogwarts castle for the very first time! Stay tuned for the next part!
