Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for Secrets of Godric’s Hollow Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you went back to Godric’s Hollow graveyard to stop Merula from opening the crypt.
Sadly, you were unable to stop her from opening the crypt. However, instead of the sword, she found the ghost of Ragnuk, the King of Goblins, who cursed her for seeking his creation.
Merula ended up losing her sight, so you quickly took her to Bathilda Bagshot to see if there’s anything she can do to help. After talking to her, you learned that goblins use a special kind of wandless magic, and the only one who can reverse the curse is Ragnuk.
Merula and you went to the library to do some research on Ragnuk. You found out that he is most likely seeking revenge because the sword wasn’t returned to him. Later on, Professor Dumbledore summoned you to his office, and you learned that he already knows about your visit to Godric’s Hollow.
He was planning to cancel the Halloween feast so that he could deal with the situation, but you managed to convince him to give you a chance to set things right.

Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]
Once you start this part, you will be met with a waiting period of four hours. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Proceed to Godric’s Hollow Graveyard once the waiting time is over. You will tell Merula that she should’ve probably stayed at Hogwarts.
However, the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts won’t be willing to simply sit idly while you do all of the work. You’ll remind her that you only want to talk to Ragnuk.
If you somehow manage to convince him to let go of his obsession with the sword, he might lift the curse, which will also save the Halloween feast.
Merula will suggest heading straight to the crypt. You’ll advise her not to rush things, since you still need to figure out what to say to Ragnuk.
You’ll recall the Headmaster’s advice.
Still, Merula will be eager to rush to the crypt. You will remind her what happened the last time she tried that.
You’ll wonder which one of the ghosts you should speak with. Merula will make it clear that she is going to unleash her full power on a ghost unless the curse gets reversed.
She’ll raise her wand and cast the Fire-Making Spell to prove her point.
Her spell will almost end up hitting Bathilda Bagshot, who will happen to be nearby. She’ll ask if you were the one who cast the spell.
Merula will proudly say that she did it. You’ll apologize to Madam Bagshot and say that you need her help.
You will then tell her about what Dumbledore said earlier.
She will say that many prominent wizarding families were buried in Godric’s Hollow, and she will happily offer to discuss them with you.
Learning from Bathilda Bagshot requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if you are low on energy.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Madam Bagshot, Merula, and your character.
You’ll learn that many great families are buried in Godric’s Hollow. However, you will find one name particularly interesting – Bowman Wright.
Madam Bagshot will say that she often visits his grave. She’ll ask if you know what Bowman Wright was famous for. There are three response options. The correct answer is ‘He created the Golden Snitch’.
Madam Bagshot will say that she’s written several chapters on Bowman Wright and his creation.
She will tell you some things about the Golden Snitch.
Merula will be frustrated that Ragnuk’s personality is so different from Wright’s. That will give you an interesting idea.
Madam Bagshot will agree with you. You’ll say that by sharing his creation, Wright ensured that his legacy would live on. Perhaps you can use that to convince Ragnuk to change his mind.
Shortly after, you and Merula will head to the graveyard.
When you arrive, you will approach the crypt and say that you want to speak with Ragnuk about his legacy. You’ll then say the passphrase.
Moments later, Ragnuk will appear. He will be curious to hear what you have to say about his legacy.
He’ll also take a look at Merula and say a few words.
The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will be quick to talk back to him. He’ll remind her about what happened last time.
You will quickly intervene before things could escalate. You’ll tell Ragnuk that you want to warn him.
He’ll ask you to explain the meaning of your words. You will tell him that he is too blinded by the sword to see the things that truly matter.
Ragnuk will wonder what could matter more than the sword. You’ll then get to explain it to him.
Talking to Ragnuk requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are actions with bonus progress tied to Ragnuk, your character, and the crypt. Prioritize those if you want to save as much energy as possible.
Ragnuk will start seeing the wisdom of your words. You’ll say that by letting the others use his sword, his legacy would live on.
Ragnuk will like that idea. You will say a few more words to convince him.
Ragnuk will realize that he was blinded by revenge to see what truly matters. He will thank you for opening his eyes. You’ll ask if it means he will lift the curse.
He will wonder why you are so keen on helping the witch who tried to steal his sword. There are two options to reply with. If you like Merula, it is recommended to pick the second option.
In the end, Ragnuk will agree to lift the curse not only from Merula, but also everyone who came before her.
He will raise his hand, and moments later, the curse will be lifted.
Shortly after, Ragnuk will return to his crypt. Merula will be glad that everything is back to normal.
You’ll remind her that the feast should start soon, so you will suggest heading back to Hogwarts as soon as possible. Proceed to the Headmaster’s office when you are ready.
You’ll happily greet Professor Dumbledore and say that you want to talk with him about the recent events.
He’ll notice that you’re smiling, so he will figure out that you have good news. You will say that everything turned out perfectly. Still, you will wonder if you’ve arrived in time to save the feast.
Professor Dumbledore will say that he had to make a difficult decision. You will ask him to give you a chance to change his mind.
Saving the feast requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is not recommended to start this task if you are low on energy.
There is a bonus progress action tied to the Headmaster. Prioritize his actions if you want to save a bit of energy.
Professor Dumbledore will thank you for explaining how much the Halloween feast means to you and your friends.
However, he will remind you that Merula and you broke a lot of school rules. He will also list the good things you’ve done in the process.
The Headmaster will smile and say that he is proud of you. You’ll thank him for having faith in you and ask him about the feast.
Professor Dumbledore will say that despite Merula and you making several bad decisions while seeking the Sword of Gryffindor, he decided not to cancel the feast.
He’ll notice that you don’t look relieved to hear it. You will say that you’ve been wondering where the Sword of Gryffindor really is.
The Headmaster will reassure you that the sword is safe.
He’ll praise you for your efforts to protect it. He’ll then advise you to hurry to the Great Hall since the celebration is about to start. Proceed to the Great Hall once you’re ready to join the feast.
Upon arriving, you’ll be able to interact with some of the characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.
You’ll happily greet Penny and ask if you’ve missed anything. She will say that you’ve arrived just in time for the Halloween feast. She’ll also mention that she has a surprise for you.
She’ll say that she carved your pumpkin for you since you were too busy trying to save the feast.
You will take a look and notice the pumpkin floating with the others. The choice that you’ve made during the first part of the adventure will take effect here.
You’ll thank Penny for being so thoughtful. She will smile and say that it was the least she could do.
She’ll ask if you think that Merula will try to steal the Sword of Gryffindor again. There are two options to reply with. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick either option.
Shortly after, the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will show up. She’ll immediately notice that you’ve been talking about her.
Penny will tell her that the two of you discussed whether or not she was changed by what happened in Godric’s Hollow.
Merula will say that there’s no need for her to change. She’ll also say that she has a gift for you.
Before giving you the gift, she’ll want to talk to you.
Talking to Merula requires earning five stars within three hours (eight hours for Year 5+ students). All five stars are needed to pass.
There is a bonus progress action tied to Barnaby, so focus on his actions if you want to save some energy.
Merula will admit there is some truth to your words. She’ll also say that she shouldn’t turn on her friends.
You’ll ask if she’s still planning to steal the sword.
She will say that there’s no need for her to be the Most Powerful Snyde. After all, she is the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts, and not many members of her family can say that.
She’ll then say that she’s brought you a gift from Bathilda Bagshot – a signed copy of ‘A History of Magic’.
There will also be a note in the book.
You’ll thank her for bringing you the gift. Moments later, Ismelda and Ben will arrive. Merula will suggest a toast to the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts.
Ben will propose a different toast.
Penny will suggest meeting somewhere in the middle. You will propose a toast to a brilliant Halloween.
Everyone will happily agree to that. You and your friends will take your glasses and celebrate Halloween together.
This will conclude Part 4 of Secrets of Godric’s Hollow adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 4 Gems, 1000 Experience points, 3 Chocolate Frogs, and the History of Magic Book.
